A group of women who were incarcerated at Canada’s first federal Prison for Women (P4W) have been fighting to create a memorial garden since the prison closed in 2000. In 2017, the prison was sold to a private developer who plans to convert the historic building and grounds into condos, retail, and office space. What does it mean to remember the dead, and to fight for the living, at a time when neoliberal common sense demands the efficient conversion of a place of suffering and death into a “heritage building” on “prime real estate”? How might a collective practice of radical imagination help to resist the commodification of memory into a tourist attraction or an aesthetic improvement of private property? And what is the relation between memory, healing, and accountability in a place where state violence, gender domination, and settler colonialism intersect?

The purpose of this work is to study the problems of legal regulation of administrative delivery and detention in Russian administrative law and the study of possible ways to solve them. This problem is due to the fact that the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The delivery time is not specified as a measure to secure proceedings on cases of administrative offenses, which is a flaw in administrative legislation and may violate the rights and freedoms of a person and citizen. And the law does not establish the duration of a person’s time in office space and his waiting for the start of legal proceedings which is a serious legislative gap. The novelty of this work lies in the formulation by Autor’s of modern and effective proposals for the revision of individual issues related to measures of administrative proceedings and the reality of solving these problems. The Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation must be modified accordingly in order to clearly regulate or establish specific time limits for the delivery in police office and the time to wait for the commencement of proceedings. In this paper, the above problems and progressive solutions are discussed in detail.

<p>This design-research project explores extending the flexibility of a typical 1960s open-plan office building. Through the use of cross-programming, the building now works along a 24- hour timespan. Housing a co-working office, community space and a night shelter, the building models a more efficient use of office space within our central cities. A focus on the individual allows a meaningful connection to space and to others through parallel design interventions that operate as desks and as sleeping pods.</p>

<p>This thesis has slowly become a paradox of retrieving information from the frictionless landscape of interconnected objects, through drawing, to develop an analogue methodology in understanding this provocative site at Kumutoto Lane. Making the invisible, visible.  The word ‘drawing’ retains a dynamic, energetic & incipient value in which resonates well against the nature of the site. The idea of friction is imperative to both of these concepts, drawing and site, and is why I began my investigation into the abandoned site at Clifton Terrace with pencil and paper.  Kumutoto Lane is an example of unfinished built form and I would like to see if I can use this awkward abandonment to express the idea of drawing as a catalyst for architectural design. A poetical expansion to how the road draws a line through the infrastructure that we live in.  The site is part of a profound history in relation to the Wellington Urban Motorway and is just a small piece of what was a very large prospective precinct spanning from Ngauranga Gorge through to the the airport, facilitated by what was then the Ministry of Works.  In terms of form, the project will generate an architectural reaction providing an ‘office space’ for the abandoned Ministry of Works Department. I have been really cautious to not let the specificness of the site camouflage how I am working on it, essentially appointing the Clifton terrace carpark as a case study. Ideologies of this research assimilated into dynamic forms to flow in and around the existing landscape, avoiding a static solution in which I believe will contradict the nature of the site.  It has been crucial to identify a relationship between land and line through out the growth of this research, with an emphasis expressed towards the development of a methodological approach to ensure this was achieved. Methodology has become the veracious backbone to this research.</p>

Abstract Basing on the experience of countries where coworking is developing dynamically, the study assesses the development prospects of coworking in Poland. It identified the opportunities and threats as well as strengths and weaknesses of this form of approaching office space in the conditions of the Polish real estate market. SWOT analysis is used as a methodology to capture the advantages of new concept of business office. To this end, statistical and econometric tools were used. The study revealed strong entrepreneurs' attachment to the ownership of office buildings used for their own purposes and the correlation between the number of coworking facilities and the number of small companies, especially in the service sector. The advantages and disadvantages of coworking offices were also pointed out, in the context of the expectations of modern lessees. The opinions of women and men about the features typical of coworking offices vary considerably, which also may be a subject for further research. The existing surveys from the local market were also referred to, which may serve as a premise for further studies. This requires a global research to capture the change and its implication on real estate market in Poland and its impact on office market. The study recommendation is to celebrate and entrepreneurial activity and introduce entrepreneurial studies at schools to influence a positive change. Research indicates that the working culture is changing, which are reflected in the use of office space, and that after a period of social distancing the approach to shaping social relationships within office work will change as well. The research might therefore assist in revealing further “understanding” forms of interactions and mechanisms of decisions about best form of office space. The study findings fill the research gap in the field of office space sharing. They are also an important indication for potential investors who are looking for new investment areas in the times of pandemic. Moreover, the analyses results will allow lessees of traditional office space to consider alternative solutions for the future while seeking to improve their business situation after restrictions imposed in 2020. In this study, has enabled new insights into the coworking office and social role this form of work, which capture the behavioral and cultural factors.

The article deals with the implementation of plants in the indoor environment of buildings to reduce the concentration of CO2. Based on a specified model representing the internal environment of an office space, it was studied whether the requirement for the total amount of ventilated air could be reduced by using plants, thereby achieving savings of operating costs in the building ventilation sector. The present research describes the effect of plant implementation according to different levels of CO2 concentration of the supply air, specifically with values of 410 ppm corresponding to the year 2020, 550 ppm to the year 2050 and 670 ppm to the year 2100, as well as according to different levels of CO2 concentration in the indoor environment, namely 1000 ppm and 1500 ppm, the illumination of plants in the indoor environment is constant in the model, PPFD equals to 200 μmolm−2 s−1. Based on the computational model, it was found that the implemented plants can positively influence the requirement for the total amount of ventilated air, the most significant effect is in the case of a low indoor environment quality, with the CO2 concentration of 1500 ppm, and a high supply air quality 410 p˙pm. The simulation also showed that compared to 2020, by the year 2100, it will be necessary to increase the ventilation of the indoor environment by 25.1% to ensure the same quality of the indoorenvironment.
