The existence of trees is very beneficial for humans’ life. There are utilizations of tree such as urban planning and reforestation. However, the tree can be dangerous when the tree is aged and decay because of several factors that might be cause fallen tree. Furthermore, the monitoring activity is needed to know the condition of the tree. One of the methods that can be used to detect hollow in living tree is Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT). The ERT is an efficient and nondestructive method that can be potential to estimate resistivity cross section. The measurement of ERT conducted on Swietenia mahagoni and Gmelina with unhealthy and healthy condition visually. The data processed using Res2Dinv and reconstructed for obtaining 2D resistivity cross section. The results shows that the unhealthy Swietenia mahagoni has logarithmic resistivity value range between 0.1-1 Ωm and the healthy Swietenia mahagoni has 1-4 Ωm. Meanwhile, the unhealthy and healthy Gmelina has logarithmic resistivity value range between 0.5-4.5 Ωm and 0.5-3 Ωm, respectively. It is shows that the tree indicated health visually from biological view does not mean the tree is decay. It might be influenced by phenology factor and/or the species of the tree.

Aiming at the problem of a small parameter value range when a one-dimensional chaotic system presents a chaotic state, this paper proposes a new type of hybrid power exponential chaotic system (HPECS). HPECS combines the classic one-dimensional Sine chaotic system to form a new chaotic system (HPECS-SS). Experiments show that the obtained new chaotic system has better chaotic performance, a more extensive parameter value range, and higher sensitivity. Simultaneously, on the basis of HPECS-SS, a new image encryption algorithm is proposed. The algorithm uses the key generated by the SHA-512 algorithm and HPECS-SS to iteratively output the chaotic sequence, SFY algorithm combines the chaotic sequence to perform two rounds of scrambling on the plaintext sequence to obtain the scrambling sequence, and finally, through the modulus operation to diffuse the scrambling sequence to form the encryption matrix of the plaintext image, simulation experiment analysis shows that the algorithm has a large key space, good encryption effect, and security; the pixel change rate (NPCR) and the normalized average change intensity (UACI) are close to ideal values which can resist various cryptanalysis and attacks.

In the French high-modulus asphalt mixture design system, the complex modulus of the mixture under the conditions of 15 °C and 10 Hz is taken as the design index. However, in China, the dynamic modulus under the conditions of 15 °C, 10 Hz, 20 °C, 10 Hz and 45 °C, 10 Hz was taken as the stiffness modulus index of high-modulus asphalt mixture. The difference in modulus values between the two systems caused the pavement structure layer to be thicker and the construction cost to be higher in China. In order to find out the appropriate modulus value of high-modulus asphalt mixture suitable for China’s modulus parameter conditions to better carry out the reasonable design and evaluation of high-modulus asphalt mixture in China, the modulus of four types of high-modulus asphalt mixtures under the two systems through the two-point bending complex modulus test of the CRT-2PT trapezoidal beam and the SPT uniaxial compression dynamic modulus test were analyzed in this paper. Under the premise of meeting the stiffness modulus index of the French high-modulus asphalt mixture, the relationship conversion models between the dynamic modulus and complex modulus of high-modulus asphalt mixture under different temperatures were established. According to the conversion models, the design evaluation value range of dynamic modulus suitable for China’s condition was recommended. It is recommended that the dynamic modulus of China’s high-modulus asphalt mixture at 15 °C and 10 Hz is not less than 16,000 MPa, the dynamic modulus at 20 °C and 10 Hz is not less than 14,000 MPa, and the dynamic modulus at 45 °C and 10 Hz is not less than 2500 MPa. Five kinds of high-modulus asphalt mixtures used in actual road engineering were tested to verify the reliability of the recommended dynamic modulus values based on the modulus conversion model, and the results are consistent with the recommended value range of the model.

This study presents the case of a landslide triggered by a high groundwater level caused by several days of continuous rainfall in the northeastern region of Taiwan. The slope where this landslide occurred consists of closely jointed and weathered bedrock. By means of finite element limit analysis and the Hoek–Brown failure criterion, this study performed a slope failure simulation similar to the actual landslide and deduced the reasonable value range for the combination of key Hoek–Brown failure criterion parameters through back analyses. The results indicate that the key parameters affecting the bedrock’s slope stability were the geological strength index (GSI) and the disturbance factor (D), whereas the effects of the unconfined compressive strength (σci) were less significant. The results of the back analysis reveal that the suitable D-value range and GSI of closely jointed and weathered sandstone in the northeastern region of Taiwan are 0.8 to 0.9 and 20 to 30, respectively. These back-analyzed value ranges can serve as a reference for broader applications in the preliminary stability analysis of similar rock slopes where it is difficult to perform in situ investigation.

In order to deal with the problems of low analysis accuracy and poor security in the current enterprise economic benefit data analysis, this paper proposes an enterprise economic benefit data envelopment analysis algorithm based on leapfrog algorithm. According to the proposed method, with the help of comparing and analyzing different analysis algorithms of enterprise economic benefit data, the data envelopment analysis algorithm with strong usability is selected firstly. After that, the effectiveness of DEA is judged by introducing relaxation variables with the help of the data envelopment analysis algorithm, and the non-Archimedean infinitesimal model is used to build the basic operation mechanism. On this basis, the overall operation mechanism of leapfrog algorithm component is used to clarify the value range of relevant economic benefit data and the number of global mixed iterations. The experimental results show that the envelope analysis of enterprise economic benefit-related data using this method can not only improve the accuracy of data analysis but also effectively improve the security of relevant business data.

Abstract Quantum coherence with respect to orthonormal bases has been studied extensively in the past few years. From the perspective of operational meaning, geometric coherence can be equal to the minimum error probability to discriminate a set of pure states [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 51, 414005 (2018)]. By regarding coherence as a physical resource, Baumgratz et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 113, 140401 (2014)] presented a comprehensive framework for coherence. Recently, geometric block-coherence as an effective block-coherence measure has been proposed. In this paper, we reveal an equivalence relationship between mixed quantum state discrimination task and geometric block-coherence, which provides an operational interpretation for geometric block-coherence and generalizes the main result in coherence resource theory. Meanwhile, we show that partial coherence is a special case of block-coherence. By linking the relationship between geometric partial coherence and quantum state discrimination tasks, we show that the value range of the two measures is the same. Finally, we reveal the relationship between geometric POVM-based coherence and quantum state discrimination task.

Abstract Information on seafloor characteristics is one of the essential variables in coastal management and marine ecosystems. Application methods in remote sensing technology to study about characteristics of shallow waters have continuously been done. This research consists of two parts: an estimation of depth using Sentinel 2B satellite imagery with the Lyzenga algorithm and geomorphological classification of the benthic area using the Benthic Terrain Modeler (BTM) approach. BTM is a method to analyze benthic habitat and shallow water geomorphology. Integrated Depth data were analyzed using BTM to obtain bathymetric position index (BPI), slope, and classification of reef geomorphological structures. The resulting BPI value range is directly proportional to the given spatial area (scale factor). The slope is ranged between 0.01° – 19.24°, while optimum depth estimation is applicable until 10-meter. The values of BPI and slope were used as variables to classify the geomorphology of shallow water benthic areas based on the previous classification dictionary. Six geomorphological classes resulting from this study are Back Reef, Deep Depression, Depression, Lower Bank Shelf, Mid-Slope Ridges, and Reef Crest.

ObjectivesMucinous breast cancer (MBC), particularly pure MBC (pMBC), often tend to be confused with fibroadenoma (FA) due to their similar images and firm masses, so some MBC cases are misdiagnosed to be FA, which may cause poor prognosis. We analyzed the ultrasonic features and aimed to identify the ability of multilayer perceptron (MLP) to classify early MBC and its subtypes and FA.Materials and MethodsThe study consisted of 193 patients diagnosed with pMBC, mMBC, or FA. The area under curve (AUC) was calculated to assess the effectiveness of age and 10 ultrasound features in differentiating MBC from FA. We used the pairwise comparison to examine the differences among MBC subtypes (pure and mixed types) and FA. We utilized the MLP to differentiate MBC and its subtypes from FA.ResultsThe nine features with AUCs over 0.5 were as follows: age, echo pattern, shape, orientation, margin, echo rim, vascularity distribution, vascularity grade, and tumor size. In subtype analysis, the significant differences were obtained in 10 variables (p-value range, 0.000–0.037) among pMBC, mMBC, and FA, except posterior feature. Through MLP, the AUCs of predicting MBC and FA were both 0.919; the AUCs of predicting pMBC, mMBC, and FA were 0.875, 0.767, and 0.927, respectively.ConclusionOur study found that the MLP models based on ultrasonic characteristics and age can well distinguish MBC and its subtypes from FA. It may provide a critical insight into MBC preoperative clinical management.
