The chapter investigates the relevance of events in enogastronomic tourism during the pandemic. Over last years, typical food and beverage have increasingly grown their relevance within the tourism industry. The evolution of the concept of enogastronomic tourism and the economic consequences on the rural territories are illustrated. In addition, the different categories of enogastronomic tourists are examined, emphasizing the relevance of experience within the industry. In the second section, the role of the events and the experiences connected to them, in the wine industry, are analysed. Lastly, the chapter describes la Strada del Vino dei Campi Flegrei, isola d'Ischia e Vesuvio, a territory near the City of Naples, where well-known Italian wines are produced and many wine-centered events are arranged, strengthening the attractiveness of that rural area.

Aim. To study the clinical and epidemiological features of typical foodborne botulism in children.Materials and methods. We conducted an epidemiological investigation of 132 registered cases of typical foodborne botulism in the Republic of Tajikistan in 2019 and 2020. The clinical observation was carried out for 24 sick children in hospitals of the State Institution “City Children’s Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital” and the Central District Hospital of Gissar. The diagnosis was established based on clinical and epidemiological data with the establishment of patients’ consumption of preservatives prepared from vegetables at homeResearch and discussion. In the Republic of Tajikistan, according to the Republican Sanitary and Epidemiological Service for 2019 and 2020, only 132 patients with botulism were registered, with the largest number of diseases, 68 (51.5%), registered in 2019, and in 2021, 64 (48.5%). Analysis of the incidence of botulism for The presented period indicates that the disease in the Republic of Tajikistan was registered in the form of sporadic cases. Botulism disease was of a group (mostly familial) nature and in 2019 19 (14.4%) cases were detected, in 2020 17 (12.8%) cases with the number of victims from 3 to 5. The age structure of patients with botulism was predominantly adults (62%) over children (38%).Conclusion. Epidemiological features of typical foodborne botulism in children in the Republic of Tajikistan showed that in cases 78 (59.1%) of the disease, it was registered after the consumption of traditional canned homemade products in the form of mixed vegetable spices (shakarob) and the autumn-winter period (100%).

Abstract  A maximum Management of tourism with tourist objects is interrelated and is very decisive in the progress of the tourist area. The development of tourist sites will have a positive impact on the economy, especially the economy of the middle class societ. The tourism location that is developing in the Central Lombok Regency is natural tourism in Karang Sidemen Village. Karang Sidemen village is one of the 99 tourist villages in West Nusa Tenggara. In general, the people who live in this area have relatively original traditions and culture. In addition, there are several supporting factors such as typical food, agricultural systems, and social systems that contribute to the uniqueness of a tourist village. Karang Sidemen Village is located in North Batukliang District, Central Lombok Regency. This village is located around the Tahura Nuraksa forest area, so that the community around the forest area makes use of the existing resources in the forest. This village has tourism potential that is quite developed in the community, one of which is Blue Lake. Community service activities are carried out in collaboration with the 2021 UNRAM Thematic KKN group with the theme Assistance for Karang Sidemen Tourism Village. The results of the activities that have been carried out are five work programs in the form of: floating jetty, crossing bridges, directions, making sapta charm boards and arrangement / gardening in the Blue Lake area. The impact is that the number of tourist visits increases and can increase the income of the surrounding community. Community service activities to help improve supporting facilities in order to advance natural resource-based tourism villages are very much needed. .   Keywords—Tourism object, Karang Sidemen tourism village, nature tourism, supporting facilities     Abstrak Pengelolaan wisata dengan objek wisata saling berkaitan dan sangat menentukan dalam kemajuan daerah wisatanya. .   Kata kunci— Obyek wisata, desa wisata Karang Sidemen, wisata alam, sarana pendukung

We examine consumer expectations about how specialty versus conventional food products affect well-being and how small, artisan producers can use that information to design better customer experiences. Drawing on recent work examining the costs and benefits of pleasure- and meaning-based consumption, we investigate whether consumer expectations that specialty products are more meaningful lead to increased desire for additional product information. We selectively sampled from the target market of interest: high-involvement consumers who regularly consume a food (cheese) in both more typical and specialty forms. The authors manipulate product type (typical versus special) within participant and measure differences in expected pleasure and meaning as well as a variety of behaviors related to and preference for additional product information. We find that these high-involvement consumers expect special food products to provide both more meaningful (hypothesized) and more pleasurable consumption experiences (not hypothesized) than typical food products. Consistent with our theory, consumer use of, search for, and preference for additional product information was greater for special products. A causal mediation analysis revealed that expectations of meaning mediate the relationship between product type and utility of product information, an effect which persists controlling for the unexpected difference in expected pleasure.

AbstractFood purchase decisions are characterized by habitual purchase behavior and low consumer involvement. The main aim of food marketing is to influence food consumers, for example, through advertising. In order to illustrate the interaction between consumers and marketers, Friestad and Wright (1994) developed the Persuasion Knowledge Model. The Persuasion Knowledge Model postulates that consumers’ dealing with persuasion attempts depends on three knowledge factors: persuasion, agent, and topic knowledge. In this paper, we apply the Persuasion Knowledge Model to food advertising. Based on an online survey with German students (n = 420), a structural equation analysis is used to investigate how persuasion knowledge determinants influence food consumers’ avoidance of the persuasion attempt which is presented as a hypothetical but typical food advertisement. Results show that the dependent variable beliefs about consumers’ avoidance of the persuasion attempt is negatively influenced by consumers’ beliefs about psychological mediators in the advertisement and by consumers’ beliefs about the appropriateness and effectiveness of the persuasion tactic. The determinant consumers’ beliefs about persuasion coping goals and tactics positively influences consumers’ avoidance of the persuasion attempt. From these findings, we derive recommendations for food industry advertisers and consumer education.

Abstract Phenanthrene (PHE) is a typical food chain biomagnified compound which endangers human health and is generally accumulated from marine lives. Previous PHE-stressed Carp acute toxicity test showed that the safe concentration of PHE to carp was 1.12 mg/L. In this study, the carp was long-term exposed to PHE below safe concentration up to 25 days. The gene expression levels and cytochrome P450 (CYP1A/EROD (7-Ethoxylesorufin O-deethylase)) and glutathione S-transferase (GST) activities were determined in the carp liver and brain tissues. The results showed that both the CYP1A mRNA expression and EROD activity in the liver were continuously stimulated after induction with the increase in exposure time and exposure concentration. However, with the increase of PHE concentration, GST mRNA expression in the liver was firstly induced and then inhibited and the induction was significant in the treatment with 0.1 mg/L PHE in the 15th day (almost 2-fold). In the brain, after the 15th day, GST mRNA expression was suppressed, but GST activity was induced. Correlation analysis results showed that the CYP1A mRNA expression was significantly correlated with the activity of EROD in both tissues (liver, r = 0.602, P < 0.01; brain, r = 0.508, P < 0.01), but the correlation between GST mRNA expression and GST activity was poor (liver, r = 0.385, P < 0.01; brain, r = 0.293, P < 0.01). This experiment revealed the self-regulation mechanism of carp exposed to lower than safe concentrations of PHE for a long time, indicating the toxicological risk of PHE in the ecosystem.
