In this study, we prepared graphene oxide (GO)/ZIF-67 nanocomposites. Therefore, GO/ZIF-67 nanocomposites were used as a modifier on a screen-printed electrode (GO/ZIF-67/SPE) for studying the electrochemical behavior of epinine in phosphate buffer saline (PBS) at pH 7.0 with voltammetry techniques. The GO/ZIF-67/SPE showed greater electrocatalytic activities than the bare SPE. As a result, the GO/ZIF-67/SPE was utilized for additional electrochemical examinations. The epinine concentration determination was in the range 9.0 × 10−8 M to 5.0 × 10−4 M, and the limit of detection (LOD) as well as the limit of quantification (LOQ) equaled 2.0 and 6.6 nM, respectively. From the scan rate study, the oxidation of epinine was found to be diffusion-controlled, and the simultaneous detection of epinine and dobutamine were well achieved with the differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) technique. Moreover, the stability and reproducibility of epinine at the GO/ZIF-67/SPE was studied, and the use of the GO/ZIF-67/SPE to detect epinine and dobutamine in real samples was furthermore successfully demonstrated.

Background: Blink rate (BR) is considered a marker of dopaminergic activity in humans. BR is increased in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), but no study has yet investigated whether BR changes with the progression of cognitive decline from MCI to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and whether BR abnormalities are present in subjects with Subjective Cognitive Decline (SCD). Objective: The aim of our study was to assess BR in patients with AD, MCI, and SCD and to correlate BR with demographic and clinical features of cognitive decline. Methods: We enrolled 22 subjects with SCD, 23 with MCI, and 18 with AD and a group of 20 age-matched healthy controls (HCs). Cognitive function was assessed by testing global cognitive status and frontal, attentional, memory, verbal, and visuospatial functions. BR was measured by counting the number of blinks per minute. Results: MCI subjects had an increased BR (p<0.001), whereas AD subjects had a lower BR than HCs (p<0.05). Conversely, SCD subjects had a BR similar to HCs. No significant correlations emerged between neuropsychological scores and BR in SCD, MCI, and AD subjects. Conclusion: Increased BR in MCI likely reflects early compensatory mechanisms occurring before AD, whereas decreased BR in AD suggests dopaminergic system involvement in this condition.

ABSTRACTBackground: The utilization rate is the use of dental and oral health which can be calculated using the number of National Healthcare Security (BPJS) patients per month compared to the number of BPJS participants multiplied by 100%Method: This study was an observational study used cross sectiona design and nominal data scale that produced quantitative data which was carried out by analysing the Pcare data started from March-August 2019 in eight primary clinics of Jepara City and District. Before conducted the study, Ethics Review No.098 / b.1-KEPK / SA-FKG / VII / 2019 was done.Result: The results of the utilization rate study based on the visit rates, Armina Pratama Clinic was 1.585%, Multisari II Pratama Clinic was 0.665%, Sentra Husada Pratama Clinic was 0.68%, Jepara General Pratama Clinic was 2.329%, Yasmin Medika Pratama Clinic was 2.173%, Hanis Pratama Clinic was 0.752%, Az-Zahra pratama clinic 2.945%, and Armina Denta pratama clinic was 1.885%.Conclusion: In conclusion, the utilization rate based on pratama clinic visits in the city and the regency of Jepara was still in the low to the ideal category. Meanwhile, the utilization rate based on the referral numbers of pratama clinic in the city and the regency of Jepara was far from the standard value

Objective: Astaxanthin is one of the natural carotenoids with strong antioxidant characteristics which is widely used in skin care. The aim of this study was developed to formulate and characterize the antioxidant serum containing astaxanthin nanoemulsion and the diffusion rate studies using diffusion Franz method. Methods: Astaxanthin nanoemulsion (As-NE) was prepared by using the self-nanoemulsifying method, followed by incorporation into serum preparation with the using carbomer as a gelling agent. Evaluation of serum As-NE was performed by physical, chemical characterizations and diffusion assay. Stability study was carried out in both accelerated (temperature of 40±2 °C/75±5%RH) and non-accelerated (at ambient temperature) conditions. Results: These results suggest that antioxidant serum As-NE had good physical and chemical characteristics that are suitable for topical administration. Conclusion: For the study of diffusion and stability under different storage conditions, it was proven that antioxidant serum As-NE form was packed in a carbomer as a gelling agent that could enhance the stability and diffusion rate of the astaxanthin.

AbstractIn the present work, Orange CD was chosen as an intriguing modifier for the electropolymerization on the surface of CPE by the CV technique. A novel, sensitive, and cost-effective poly (Orange CD) MCPE (PoOCD/MCPE) sensor was utilized for the selective detection of paracetamol (PA) in 0.2 M phosphate buffer solution (PBS) of pH 7.4. The oxidation peak current of PA was vastly enhanced at the sensor. The scan rate study is suggested that electro-oxidation of PA was adsorption-controlled. The pH study testifies the redox pathways transport with the same quantity of electrons and protons. The detection limit of PA is found to be 2.64 µM. DPV results show that substantial peak separation between PA, folic acid (FA), and dopamine (DA) could be facilitating their individual and simultaneous determination on the sensor. The decorated sensor demonstrates high sensitivity, stability, reproducibility, repeatability and has been successfully exploited for the detection of PA in a tablet with promising results.

The purpose of present study was to describe the growth rate study for some time series production factors of ragi and also making of diagnostic study for detecting some influential time series production factors governing total ragi production in Karnataka and also in India during the period 1993 -2017. The secondary data was collected for analysis from Directorate of economics and statistics and http://indiastat.com. The maximum compound growth rate of MSP of ragi was observed in India as well as in Karnataka. Whereas negative CGRs were recorded for ragi production in India as well as Karnataka. The productivity and area of ragi had positive and significant correlation with ragi production in India, whereas ragi production of India had negative and significant correlation with value of output and minimum support price. These factors were found important for total ragi production of India.

Objective: To assess the most relevant results on the usage of royal jelly in reproductive protocols of wool and hair sheep. Design/methodology/approach: A review of studies referenced and published in scientific databases regard the livestock sector. Results: In ewes, administration of “royal jelly” in addition to reproductive management protocols improves the response to estrus synchronization, time of onset and duration of estrus, number of large follicles, ovulatory rate and gestation rate. Study limitations/implications: Royal jelly is a substance with beneficial effects on reproductive variables in ewes; however, the cost may be a limitation for its incorporation in synchronization protocols. Additionally, it is necessary to clarify the active metabolites that exert the action and the most effective route of administration. Findings/conclusions: Royal jelly can be an alternative incorporated to estrus synchronization programs in ewes to substitute some hormones without decreasing reproductive variables.

In this study, sodium alginate-based thin films were modified by the addition of tannic acid. Materials were obtained by solvent evaporation. They were characterized by the observation of its morphology and its surface by scanning electron microscope and atomic force microscope. The thermal properties were studied by differential scanning calorimetry. The concentration of tannic acid released from the material was determined by the Folin–Ciocalteu method. The material safety for biomedical application was determined by the hemolysis rate study in contact with sheep blood as well as platelet adhesion to the material surface. Based on the obtained results, we assume that proposed films based on sodium alginate/tannic acid are safe and may potentially find application in medicine.
