The relevance of electricity generation from renewable energy sources is growing every day in the current global energy environment. The scarcity of fossil fuels and the environmental risks connected with traditional power producing methods are the main reasons behind this. The major sources of non-conventional energy are wind and solar which can be harnessed easily. A new system design for hybrid photovoltaic and wind-power generation is introduced within this study. A Modified M.P.P.T. has been proposed to strengthen productivity of this system. The proposed approach employs the Incremental Conductance (IC) MPPT technique. Under varied climatic conditions (Solar irradiance & Temperature), IC is utilized to determine the optimum voltage output of a photo voltaic generator (P.V.G.) within the photo voltaic system (P.V.) structure. The Incremental Conductance is utilized to manage the converter’s technology having boosting function. The P.M.S.G. is used to determine the maximum voltage output for varied wind flow rates in wind turbine system. Simulations are conducted in Matlab2019b to test efficacy of the proposed MPPT. The proposed scheme’s effectiveness can be supported with simulation results.

Considering the advancement of economic globalization, the reasons for migration together with the lifestyles of migrants will change the use of energy, environment of origin and destination. This study therefore explores the patterns of global trade-induced carbon emission transfers using “center-of-gravity” and complex network analysis. We further investigate the determinants of carbon transfers by integrating the impact of population migration through the STIRPAT framework for 64 countries over the period 2005–2015 using the stepwise regression approach. Our results unveil that higher levels of migration flow induce higher carbon flow. Specifically, every 1% increase in migration, triggers carbon transfers to increase within the range of 0.118%−0.124%. The rising impact of migration cannot be ignored, even though the coefficients were not so high. Besides, for both male and female migrants, their impact on carbon transfers generated by the intermediate products were higher than those generated by the final products. However, the influence is more obvious in male migrants. With the aim of dividing the sample of countries into three income groups, the results generally show that the impacts of migration vary across levels of income. Therefore, the environmental pressure caused by immigration should be considered by destination countries in the formulating of migration policies. On the other hand, origin countries should take some responsibility for carbon emissions according to their development characteristics.

As a well-known greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide (CO2) has attracted increasing levels of attention in areas of energy, environment, climate, etc. Notably, CO2 is an abundant, nonflammable, and renewable C1 feedstock in view of chemistry. Therefore, the transformation of CO2 into organic compounds is an extremely attractive research topic in modern green and sustainable chemistry. Among the numerous CO2 utilization methods, carboxylative cycloaddition of CO2 into propargylic alcohols is an ideal route due to the corresponding products, α-alkylidene cyclic carbonates, which are a series of highly functionalized compounds that supply numerous potential methods for the construction of various synthetically and biologically valuable agents. This cyclization reaction has been intensively studied and systematically summarized, in the past years. Therefore, attention has been gradually transferred to produce more derivative compounds. Herein, the tandem reactions of this cyclization with hydration, amination, alcoholysis, and isomerization to synthesize α-hydroxyl ketones, oxazolidinones, carbamates, unsymmetrical carbonates, tetronic acids, ethylene carbonates, etc. were systematically reviewed.

First of all, COFRET is an acronym coming from the French expression “Colloque Francophone en Energie, Environnement, Economie et Thermodynamique”, meaning Conference on Energy, Environment, Economy and Thermodynamics. Thus, COFRET is a scientific event initiated in 2002 by an enthusiastic Franch-Romanian group with the aim of organizing a conference on energy, the environment, the economy and thermodynamics every two years, once in France and another time in Romania. Professor Michel Feidt from the University of Lorraine-France, and Professors Stoian Petrescu and Vsevolod Radcenco from the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest-Romania are the founders of this international conference of French-speaking origin. Since its creation, COFRET has sought to bring together specialists from academia and industry to present their achievements and thus, to create opportunities for collaboration in the fields of energy, environment, economy and thermodynamics. List of Cofret 2021 – Scientific Committee are available in this pdf.

Abstract- Internet of Things (IoT) is increasingly becoming the vehicle to automate, optimize and enhance the performance of systems in the energy, environment, and health sectors. In this paper, we use Wi-Fi wrapped sensors to provide online and in realtime the current energy consumptions at a device level, in a manner to allow for automatic control of peak energy consumption at a household, factory level, and eventually at a region level, where a region can be defined as an area supported by a distinct energy source. This allows to decrease the bill by avoiding heavily and controllable loads during high tariff slice and/or peak period per household and to optimize the energy production and distribution in a given region. The proposed model relies on adaptive learning techniques to help adjust the current load, while taking into consideration the actual and real need of the consumer. The experiments used in this study makes use of current and voltage sensors, Arduino platform, and simulation system. The main performance indexes used are the control of a peak consumption level, and the minimum time needed to adjust the distribution of load in the system. The system was able to keep the maximum load at a maximum of 10 kW in less than 10 seconds of response time. The level and response time are controllable parameters.
