Gamification and health are discussed from a one-sided perspective. Gamification and health studies focus on the use of gamification for health and overlook the perspective on how gamification affects health. This chapter discusses gamification and health in terms of organizations, individuals, and society, and addresses the effects of gamification on health and the use of gamification for health. Existing research on gamification and health addresses gamification practices developed for health and the health effects of gamification separately. Consequently, the aim of this chapter is to contribute to the original research collection organized into gamification studies in health from a holistic perspective.

The aim of this this research is to find out the progress and impact of community empowerment in the supporting villages of Kelimutu National Park, Ende NTT. This is a qualitative research which is conducted by field research, collection data, reduction, display and conclusion. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that there is a synergy between the role of the government and community participation in managing tourism in an effort to attract tourists for visiting Kelimutu National Park and staying in the supporting villages. The program is effective to increase local economy and welfare of people around the tourist area however the number of visitor tend to decrease.

The Zoological Collection of the University of Rostock over the course of time Abstract: The Zoological Collection of the University of Rostock looks back on an eventful history. Phases of decline alternated with periods of recovery and further development. The accommodation, focus and orientation of the collection have also changed several times. The five periods of the Zoological Collection of the University of Rostock, which can be distinguished chronologically as well as according to their orientation and specific thematic emphases, are presented in this paper. Individual objects or persons will only be mentioned if they are linked to the history of the collection in a special way. The Zoological Collection is one of the few institutions of the University of Rostock that has existed permanently since its foundation in 1775, although not at the present location, nor with its current orientation as a university showroom and research collection.

In this research collection, we estimate the existence of the unique solution for the boundary value problem of nonlinear fractional [Formula: see text]-difference equation having the given form [Formula: see text] [Formula: see text] where [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] represents the Caputo-type nonclassical [Formula: see text]-derivative of order [Formula: see text]. We use well-known principal of Banach contraction, and Leray–Schauder nonlinear alternative to vindicate the unique solution existence of the given problem. Regarding the applications, some examples are solved to justify our outcomes.

This text is part of a research collection of examples that we selected for the workshop On Voice and Dance for the European Dancehouse Network at the international contemporary dance festival CoFestival 2020 together with Irena Z. Tomažin, a dancer, experimental musician and choreo-vocalist, who has given the contemporary dance community in Ljubljana some excellent performances in this field, in which the body and the voice posed a series of puzzling problems for us. The text is a selective outline of the topics at hand, it goes into the history of contemporary dance, cites some fundamental reference articles and books, to which many others could certainly be added. It focuses on selected aspects of choreo-vocalistics, the sound of the body and choreographies, and aims to use this material to inform further research with the help of considerably more ambitious thinkers. Last but not least, it is a product of last year’s CoFestival curatorial topic, The Amplifiers of Voices, with which we wanted to give some attention to the silenced voice of contemporary dance in a pandemic situation with empty stages. This article has no illusions that it could capture and address the topic in its immense complexity and comprehensiveness, and we apologize to the dancers we have unintentionally omitted in our treatment.

Abstract The research collection aims at finding the various possible opportunities for the effective integration of shallow geothermal energy (SGE) to decrease the energy demand in the built environment and to reduce emission associated with it. The direct utilization of SGE using a ground source heat pump (GSHP) has been reviewed in comprehensive review part I and part II. From the extensive review, it is found that the hybrid GSHP is needed to avoid ground thermal imbalance and peak demand. Hybrid GSHP can adopt various supplemental heat sources and sinks according to the local climatic conditions and the balance of energy demands. The primary focus on the integration of subsystems such as biomass, solar energy (PV, PVT, and collector), phase change material, micro gas turbine, and absorption heat pump with GSHP is presented for heating application. This comprehensive review part III highlights the recent research findings and a potential gap in hybrid GSHP for further research and developments

Two newly-discovered specimens of the fish locomotion trace Undichna (U. britannica and Undichna isp.), are described from the Middle Devonian Achanarras Limestone Member (Caithness Flagstone Group, NE Scotland). Fish trace fossils have not previously been reported from the Achanarras Limestone Member, despite decades of study of the unit as a key locality for fish body fossils. The traces comprise discontinuous sinusoidal grooves; one showing multiple parallel incisions, created by the fins of an acanthodian fish swimming close to the substrate. The apparent absence of trace fossils attributable to infaunal or epifaunal benthic organisms suggests that the sediment at the bottom of the lake was relatively inhospitable. The low ichnodiversity of the Achanarras Limestone Member is likely due to low oxygen levels in the depositional environment.Thematic collection: This article is part of the Early Career Research collection available at: https://www.lyellcollection.org/cc/SJG-early-career-research

Abstract Clinical Science is proud to launch a new translational meta-research collection. Meta-research, or the science of science, applies the scientific method to study science itself. Meta-research is a powerful tool for identifying common problems in scientific papers, assessing their impact, and testing solutions to improve the transparency, rigor, trustworthiness, and usefulness of biomedical research. The collection welcomes science of science studies that link basic science to disease mechanisms, as well as meta-research articles highlighting opportunities to improve transparency, rigor, and reproducibility among the types of papers published in Clinical Science. Submissions might include science of science studies that explore factors linked to successful translation, or meta-research on experimental methods or study designs that are often used in translational research. We hope that this collection will encourage scientists to think critically about current practices and take advantage of opportunities to make their own research more transparent, rigorous, and reproducible.
