Abstract The annular solar eclipse occurred when the Earth-Moon-Sun position aligned in the same line where the angular diameter of the moon is smaller than the angular diameter of the sun due to the moon is on the farthest distance with respect to the earth. The event was observed on 26 December 2019 at Siak Regency, Province of Riau, Indonesia. Based on that event observation, the sun is gradually covered by the moon until the peak event where the sun is completely covered and showing “ring of fire”. All stages of eclipse are captured as images from DSLR camera that been attached into telescope with specific filter as well as illumination determination from observation location using lux meter during the event. This study explained how to get the information from solar eclipse images available by using image-processing software namely ImageJ so it can be used as a student worksheet. The plotting of both pixel area-time graph and illumination-time graph of this study shows a similar trend. Therefore, the data acquired in this study is obtained well so it can be used as a student worksheet in the Astronomical Position lecture based on the actual phenomenon with a simple instrument for observation.

In many post-stroke cases, patients show dysfunctions in movement, cognition, sense, and language, depending on the damaged area of the brain. Active and repetitive physical rehabilitation centered on the stroke-affected side is essential for effective and rapid neurological recovery of upper extremity dysfunction due to hemiplegia. A symmetric upper extremity trainer is utilized to assist the patient body, depending upon the degree of hemiplegia. In this study, we developed a novel balance handle as a symmetric upper extremity trainer capable of extension, flexion, pronation, and supination of the upper extremity. We collected the surface electromyogram (sEMG) signal data while the subjects were playing a serious game and recorded the electroencephalogram (EEG) signal data while the subjects were performing basic movements with the balance handle, to analyze the effectiveness of the device as an assistive tool for rehabilitation. The triceps brachii were activated during the extension movements, whereas the biceps brachii and deltoid muscles were activated during the flexion movements. With the balance handle, the peak event-related desynchronization (ERD) values were relatively lower while showing higher peak event-related synchronization (ERS) values compared to other types of operating methods, such as hand gripping and gamepad operation. Movement intention of tilting the balance handle for the α and β waves was clearly distinguished from the other tasks. These data demonstrated the potential of various applications using the developed proof-of-concept upper extremity trainer to bring out an excellent rehabilitative effect not only through muscle growth but also via identification of large movement intentions inducing brain activation exercise.

Abstract Albeit largely underappreciated, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) constitutes a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases in general and for coronary disease in particular. The incidence of myocardial infarction, in fact increases rapidly, after relapse of COPD, with a peak event rate during the first week in the worst forms (those requiring hospitalization). Even though the precise mechanism is not completely defined, it is likely derived from two pathogenetic causes: (i) mismatch between myocardial demand and offer of O2 (not fully demonstrated and limited to few cases); (ii) acute coronary thrombosis, probably due to a systemic inflammatory reaction, brought upon by multiple interaction between the infective agent and the host immune system.

Research in Potential Fishing Zone (PFZ) has undergone many developments, including parameter suitability selection. The thermal front has become the primary parameter input of ZPPI (LAPAN's PFZ). The accuracy of the thermal front parameter to predict PFZ cannot be known with certainty because of the radius between ZPPI with fishing areas, so it is necessary to develop parameters to support the thermal front. The thermal front described the meeting area of two water masses with different temperature characteristics associated with high nutrients (chlorophyll-a) and indicate an upwelling's appearance. This study aims to determine ZPPI by approaching the thermal front and mesotrophic area's matching area (chlorophyll-a concentration 0.2-0.5 mg/m3). Chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature data for thermal fronts detection are derived from Aqua MODIS satellite on Google Earth Engine (GEE). The matching area's approach between the thermal front and mesotrophic area is used in the analysis of ZPPI. The results show thermal front and mesotrophic area on WPPNRI 715 have a variation seasonally where December appears like the peak event. The two parameters are distributed evenly from coastal areas to high seas. This method generates thermal fronts that have more than 60.3% matching with the mesotrophic area where the amount is acceptable due to has more than 50% amount of moderate ZPPI. The accuracy improvement in ZPPI both on the coast and open sea can be determined through this approach.

the purpose of Earth Hour and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) invite people around the world to continue to be a part of the social movement in the field of climate change with one of the energy-saving activities. In their campaign, Earth Hour proved to be a dominant force among other powers, associated with the three pillars of power, between political power and economic power. Environmental issues have become a global issue, a variety of damage that occurs on earth has become a serious concern by many. There are many organizations, communities and also mass movements that are concerned with environmental issues. Earth Hour is a global movement that initially campaigned energy savings with its peak event by turning off the electricity in 60 minutes at the end of March every year. Earth Hour movement spread over 153 countries around the world and 28 cities in Indonesia. The research was the focus in the area of motion Earth Hour; The Political environmental theory which was used in this research is Peterson’s theory, those are the government, the private sector and social movement itself. This type of research is a qualitative study using a descriptive study. The researcher obtained data by conducting in personal experience and study literature. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The Conclusion of this study is in Earth Hour has its own characteristics to do such as lobbying to local authorities, then how to lobbying with other people who have the capability to influence public opinion, cooperate with other NGOs and raise social issues in the community to lobby with the private sector. In this area of movement Earth Hour is used as best as possible by the government and private sector to achieve their interests outside environmental-related policy issues.

Several fluid circulation events are recorded in the Aquitaine Basin and the Chaînons Béarnais in the Pyrenean belt of southwestern France. Different fluid types are found in all locations studied. The main difference comes from the thermal peak event (rifting), which was more intense in the Chaînons Béarnais close to the exhumed mantle zone. In situ gas analysis associated of fluid inclusions and isotopic (C, O, H, S) analyses show that similar fluids are generated in both systems, although separated by deep structures, e.g. the North Pyrenean Frontal Thrust (NPFT). The Pyrenean tectonic history leads to the compartmentalization of fluid circulations.
