A new predictive support tool for the publishing industry is presented in this note. It consists of a combined model of Artificial Intelligence techniques (CAIT) that seeks the most optimal prediction of the number of book copies, finding out which is the best segmentation of the book market, using data from the networks social and the web. Predicted sales appear to be more accurate, applying machine learning techniques such as clustering (in this specific case, KMeans) rather than using current publishing industry expert’s segmentation. This identification has important implications for the publishing sector since the forecast will adjust more to the behavior of the stakeholders than to the skills or knowledge acquired by the experts, which is a certain way that may not be sufficient and/or variable throughout the period.

In the reform of the electricity market, along with the gradual opening of the electricity sales side as well as the increase in the proportion of residential electricity consumption, the user load of the demand side has become an essential resource for demand response (DR). To efficiently utilize the residential load resources, new market participants, such as load aggregator (LA) have emerged. First, the basic concept of load aggregator is introduced in this paper, the origin and definition of LA is studied, and the classification of aggregated resources and the current situation of LA operation in some countries are presented. Then the article analyzes the market operation mode of LA and the uncertainty of LA in operation in detail, including the LA service on the user side, transaction mode and hierarchical structure associated with the operation, the uncertainty classification analysis, and associated strategies to address the problem. The LA load integration method and the scheduling control strategy are discussed. Finally, suggestions and ideas on the future research direction are proposed.

The proposal for a European Union Regulation establishing harmonized rules for artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence Act) is under consideration. The structure and features of the proposal of this regulatory legal act of the integrational organization are analyzed. EU AI Act scope is analyzed and shown as wider than the current Russian one. The act will contain harmonized rules for placing into market, operation and use of AI systems; bans on certain artificial intelligence methods; special requirements for AI systems with high level of risk and obligations of operators of such systems, harmonized transparency rules for AI systems designed for interaction with individuals, emotion recognition systems and biometric categorization systems, AI systems used to creating or managing images, audio or video content; market surveillance and supervision rules. The provisions of the Act, the features of the proposed institutions and norms, including extraterritoriality (as for GDPR before that raised many questions), risk-oriented approach (which is based both on self-certification and definite criteria for high-risk systems), object, scope, definitions are considered. The possible key concerns based on case-law to undermine possible discrimination are expressed. The author expresses conclusions about the advisability of (non) application of these institutions or rules in Russia.

Transformation and sustainable development must be undertaken in accordance with the trends of the times, which presents challenges to rural areas worldwide. In addition to preserving rural food specialties and presenting them in new ways to attract consumers, these areas must link farmers’ production, processing, sales, and management. It is imperative to sustainably pass on rural foods and theircooking techniques and integrate them into innovative business strategies so that delicious rural foods can be sold on the consumer market, boosting rural economies and their development. The main objective of this research was to conduct indicator modeling and empirical analysis for the sustainable inheritance of Taiwan’s rural cooking techniques and the development of innovative marketing strategies. The Fuzzy Delphi Technique was used as the main research method to select agricultural experts and rural household economy organizations for indicator modeling and empirical analysis. The results of the research indicate that agricultural experts believe that market operation is the primary developmental focus of cultural inheritance and innovation, whereas household economy organizations believe that education, training, promotion, and development are the primary developmental focuses. The greatest contribution and innovation of this research are the findings that culinary education and training, organized by the farmers’ association, can sustainably pass on traditional rural cooking techniques, and the process of incorporating local ingredients into commercial gourmet food should also consider aspects of the economic and marketing strategies of market operation, facilitating the sustainable inheritance of unique, traditional, local, and rural food culture.

With the current global pandemic and the consequent social distancing rule limiting business and market operation, it has propelled a shift in the way businesses and organizations operate from the traditional physical market place to the adoption of information technology for business digitalization. These have also affected the attitudinal aspect of consumers and shoppers, particularly on the prospect of consumers going back to their old habits once the global crisis is over. This study, therefore, examines the conditions for consumer preference of the changing digitalized business environment in the Post-COVID-19 Era and its predictive value in the future. The study adopted a survey research design, using an online questionnaire as a research instrument among residents in Lagos. From the findings of the study, it was revealed that the perceived benefit of business digitalization, combined influence attitudes of consumers behaviour and perceived convenience is the most significant of conditions for the preference of the changing digitalized business environment that affects attitudes of consumers. On the prospect of the digitalized business environment in the post-COVID-19 business environments, the study revealed that a 1 percent change in the conditions for consumer preference of online constructs is likely to have an 8.4 percent effect on consumer’s attitudes. This, therefore, is an indication that a 1 percent change can have a significant effect on consumer’s buying behaviour. Conclusively the study recommended that online retailers should consider improving their technological infrastructure in order to offer more convenience for Customers online shoppers.

Energy Internet is a complex nonlinear system. There are many stakeholders in the load trading market, which is usually regarded as a multi-player gaming. Although gaming theory has been introduced to solve Multivariate Load trading problems, different conditions should be considered to accurately optimize the multivariate load trading problem. For example, the selling side needs to reduce the reserve capacity and improve profits, but the consumer side needs to reduce costs and minimize the impact on its own electricity consumption. These contradictory conditions require multiple Nash equilibrium to achieve obviously. To address this issue, a unified architecture of the power system cloud trading is constructed in this paper, which is combined with the multiple load classification of the power system. In addition, according to the power market operation mechanism, a price-guided multivariate load trading game strategy is designed. More importantly, a multivariate load trading optimization method based on LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) and gaming theory is proposed in this work. LSTM is introduced for real time prediction, which can be combined with the game theory for strategy searching. The global stability and optimal solution theory prove the feasibility of the proposed neural network, and finally the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by using numerical simulation.

By becoming in itself a real mass phenomenon, tourism has generated several positive phenomena. However, if we consider the impacts of today’s mass tourism, its unwanted side-effects from social and environmental perspectives are also to be seen. In some destinations today the living conditions of the residents have deteriorated and the natural environment has suffered. For tourism to be sustainable, changes are needed, both in the supply of tourism and the demand of consumers. This paper, using the findings of a recent representative survey, looks at how open the Hungarian population is to adopting environmentally conscious and responsible behaviour during their travels. The survey of attitudes and consumer behaviour of different generations, a less intensively researched area in the field of tourism, is vital for a successful market operation and for successful innovation within the tourism sector, and so the paper also deals with the presentation of the reasons for the differences among generations.

The primary aim of this paper is to elucidate the general concept of monetary policy under Islamic Economics. Not only does the stability of but also the growth of the economy in a country strongly depends upon monetary policy implemented. Such the phenomenon also prevails in Islamic Economics in which the term is also ruled by the Holy Quran and the Hadith of the Prophet. Moreover, the Prophet issued some regulations regarding monetary, such as to adopt Dinars and as the Islamic currencies. It is noted that, however, the thing distinguishing between Islamic Economics and other economic systems the variable of interest or usury, where either the Holy Quran or the Hadith clearly states that it is banned. Due to using interest as the yardstick, the conventional monetary instruments such as Open Market Operation, Discount Rate and the likes are not considered as the monetary instruments under Islamic Economics. Therefore, Instead of interest, Islamic Economics adopts Profit Loss Sharing (PLS) system, regarded as the important part of monetary policy. Moreover, Islamic Economics has also its specific monetary standard and instruments, which are far from interest or variables, such as certificates and others.
