Public procurement has become an integral component of Saving Public purse in the whole world wide not exempting Africa and for that matter Ghana. Public procurement compliance is one of the major factors that can lead to major saving in public spending. The major objective of this research work was to appreciate how organizational culture impact on compliance with the Public Procurement Act in the Obuasi Municipality. Largely four objectives were explored to asses and investigate the study in order to draw conclusion. Both Quantitative and qualitative methods were employed to conduct the study. The study made use of 150 participants using a convenient sampling procedure. The study revealed that involvement (β = 0.42, p-value < 0.05) was a significant determinants of public procurement compliance Act whiles controlling for habit, stewardship behaviour and media publicity. Moreover, study found that Adaptability (β = 0.56, p-value < 0.05) was a significant determinants of public procurement compliance Act whiles controlling for habit, stewardship behaviour and media publicity. Again, study revealed that mission (β = -0.53, p-value < 0.05) was a significant determinants of public procurement compliance Act whiles controlling for habit, stewardship behaviour and media publicity. However, the study found that consistency (β = -0.13, p-value > 0.05) was not a significant determinants of public procurement compliance Act whiles controlling for habit, stewardship behaviour and media publicity. The study concludes that organizational is a determinant of procurement Act compliance meanwhile socio-economic variables significantly predicts procurement compliance. The study recommends improvement in cultural practices in public institutions to enhance compliance with the Procurement Act.

Carved wooden calendars were known to many peoples from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century. For example, the Scandinavian ones are well enough studied, but about the existence of such calendars among Belarusians wasn’t known for a long time. The Russian Museum of Ethnography has a carved calendar from the Sluck County. Today it is the only such Belarusian artifact. The article presents a description of a carved wooden calendar from the Čudzin Village, Sluck County. A brief overview of other calendars of a similar type is shown. The prerequisites for the formation and distribution of such artifacts on the territory of Belarus were studied. The article discusses the sign system used to designate holidays and working periods, which correlate with the calendar tradition of the region. Based on the data obtained, the authors draw conclusion about the local origin of the calendar.

Changes in the climate due to anthropogenic and natural variation are indicated by parameters including temperature and rainfall. Climate change variability with changing trends of the two have been unpredictable and unprecedented globally leading to changing weather patterns, natural disasters, leading to sectoral impacts on food and water security, livelihood, human health among others. This research analyses the changing patterns of these parameters over the last 35/37 years of Satkhira district of Bangladesh to assess the state and trend across spatial and temporal dimensions. Such, the study validates to rationalize the observed seasonal changes that persist in Satkhira of Bangladesh. Both in terms of intensity and frequency of the occurrences of natural disasters, the series of natural events have been triangulated, with impacts and vulnerability being assessed from temperature variations, erratic rainfall, cyclone, flood and water logging etc. The study’s prime contribution remains in attribution of climate change in relation contextual circumstances in the region including sea level rise, salinity intrusion. Therefore, the risk and climatic hazards and its resulting impacts over time has been assessed to draw deeper connection between theoretical and practical values. The series of analyses also draw conclusion that assets are at risk from changing climatic condition.

Various social phenomena are often expressed on the social media twitter to attract responses from the public around the user. One of the interesting public responses in communication studies is language style. The issue of sexual harassment and violence against women is a common topic which gets a lot of response from the public. This research aims to analyze the differences between women and man language on the response column from a thread of twitter social media that is about a woman who had encountered a pressure and sexual harassment by the doctor who carried out the rapid test of SARS-CoV-2 on Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. This research was using qualitative content analysis approach toward thread’s response column on the twitter. We have found that the language style of man and women on the thread were different. The language of women relatively unclear compare to the man. The sentences created by the women used a lot of question tag at the end, whereas a man relatively did not. Women also did reluctantly to cuss and abuse compare to man. Women were relatively involved in conversation related with heart while men relatively involved in report conversation. Responses or interruptions by women were not to control, challenge, or threaten, but to support or emphasize the conversation. Meanwhile, men used more instrumental talk, report information, solve problems, and solve problems through information exchange. We also found a similarity between women and man, which was a language of draw conclusion.

The Mizo War of Independence, also labelled as the Mizo Insurgency Movement, spanned over a period of nearly 20 years, during which significant events and developments occurred, which greatly shaped and moulded the socio-political landscape of the state. Accounts and narratives of what took place during those turbulent years are aplenty. However, not much literature or narrative could be found about the ideological dimension of the movement and its ramifications. Hence, the main aim of the article is to emphasize on the underlying two strands of nationalism, that is, the nationalistic ideals pursued by the Mizo National Front (MNF) as an organization, on the one hand, and the strand of nationalism championed by its president and leader, Laldenga, on the other hand. The first part of the article examines the strand of nationalism of the MNF, the main perpetrator of the independence movement and the role of its founding president, Laldenga, in formulating that ideology. The second section of the article traces and analyses the so-called ‘Laldenga’s nationalism’. Finally, the article attempts to draw conclusion on how the two strands of nationalism impacted the outcome of the Mizo War of Independence as a whole.

This study is an attempt to reveal the implementation of Covid 19 memes in teaching descriptive text for secondary high school students in Tahunan Jepara. In addition, this study also aims to find out the problems the students face during the process of implementing the memes for teaching writing. Since Covid 19 pandemic hinder everyone to gather in a period of time, so it is possible for the researchers to process this research online. It means that the distribution of instrument for collecting the data is done online. The data for this descriptive qualitative study were taken from both the students and the English teacher. 32 students were involved in this study. Questionnaire was distributed to students to gain some information related to the problems they experienced during the process of learning, while indirect interview was given only to the teacher to know how he or she implemented the Covid 19 memes for teaching descriptive text. The data were then processed by elaborating them descriptively. Then, the researchers did data reduction, data display and as final step the researchers draw conclusion of all. The results showed that Covid 19 memes inspired the students for ideas for writing descriptive text. It was exactly 88% students said so. While the rest of 12% said otherwise.  Related to the problems in learning using Covid 19 memes, 78% students did not have any problems with it. While the rest of it said that they had problems in naming the terms (13%), in understanding the meme’s content (6%), and in elaborating ideas in English sentences (3%)

The process of filling of scoop of dragshovel consists of a few operations which periodically repeat oneself in the working loop. Each of these stages is accompanied the different moving of dragshovel and his separate knots, conditioned actions of external forces, at cutting and load of soil in a scoop, that needs separate consideration of the tense state of dragshovel equipment in a few calculation positions. The analysis of the modes of ladening of metallokonstrukcii of dragshovel during implementation of basic operations of digging allows to define the rational modes of operations of machine. For the decision of the put tasks the calculation chart of self-propelled dragshovel was developed in the process of zaglubleniya of knife in soil, on the basis of which taking into account the grounded limitations and scope terms, a twomass mathematical model, having degrees of freedom in horizontal and vertical directions, is created. With the purpose of simplification of mathematical model the angular vibrations of tractor and dragshovel were not taken into account, in connection with their small influence on the operating loadings at zaglublenii of scoop. Realization of mathematical model allowed to get the charts of dynamic change of horizontal and vertical force, operating in the hinges of hauling frame. Swaying character of loadings rotined that maximal values were arrived at almost for the identical interval of time in the first semiperiod, and horizontal and vertical efforts increase with the increase of intensity of resistance digging. The results of researches rotined that forces operating in the front hinge of hauling frame grow with the increase of intensity of resistance digging, arriving at the maximal values of 195 and 78 kN. Horizontal efforts to a great extent exceed vertical and increased with growth of intensity of resistance digging. The rate of increase of maximums of horizontal force can be considered even, because at megascopic intensities from 150 to 250 kN/m, most values grow approximately on 32 %, that enables to draw conclusion about expedience of work with the less rates of movement of dragshovel, taking into account loading of metallokonstrukcii. The rate of growth of maximums of vertical force can be considered even, approximately on 7 %, with the increase of rate of climb of knife of dragshovel, that far fewer as compared to growth of efforts, operating in horizontal direction. Therefore diminishing of speed of zaglubleniya will not result in the substantial diminishing of loading on the hauling frame of dragshovel.
