Historically, researchers and managers have often failed to consider organizations as a sum of functions leading to a set of capabilities that produce a product that can serve society’s needs. Furthermore, functions have increased with the development of industrial revolutions, however, many manufacturing organizations have not realized their full potential. As a result, many industrial organizations do not know why, where, and when the existing functions and projects for implementing new functions fail where tactical and strategic functions of a manufacturing organization are commonly over-seen. Thus, the aim of this research was to propose a holistic approach for manufacturing organizations in order to model their functions enabling the assessment, design, management, and control of operations and performance as well as to identify improvement potentials. For this purpose, a conceptual model was developed based on the evolution of functions along with the industrial revolutions. Moreover, using the conceptual model, manufacturing organizations can be modeled, considering common organizational functions in the respective areas of production, maintenance, and quality, etc., in the three planning horizons—strategic, tactical, and operative. As a result, the model serves as a basis for the integral management and control of manufacturing organizations. Moreover, it can be also used as a basis framework for a digital twin model for organizations. Thus, a system dynamics simulation model based on the conceptual model was developed for a generic organization. The goal of the simulation model is to provide an exemplary digital model of a manufacturing organization in which the different functions are applied with different methods, systems, and/or individuals along the development phases.

In this article, an employee perspective has been applied in aiming to explore how organizations face challenges and take responsibility for industrial digitalization, thus extending the research on the human-centric perspective in relation to Industry 4.0 technologies. To give emphasis to the human-centric perspective, the co-workership wheel was applied to identify and analyze data. The findings of an explorative longitudinal qualitative case study consisting of 35 in-depth interviews with informants from a manufacturing company were used. Additional data collection consisted of documents and project meetings. By applying a human-centric perspective, llessons learned from this case study show that taking responsibility for industrial digitalization is challenging and the importance of an adaptive organizational culture and a focus on learning and competence are crucial. We argue that the findings give useful implications for manufacturing organizations navigating the challenges of industrial digitalization to sense and seize the benefits of Industry 4.0 technologies.

Abstract In this study, implemented artificial nueral network (Ann) in apparel manufacturing organizations to optimize the supply chain converging on right supplier selection by analyzing their performance criteria.Moreover, data collected from three diffrents factory to analyze the efficiney and profit -loss status of that units. Furthermore, analyze the supplier selection criteria of three suppliers in order to select the right supplier at the real time in apparel manufacturing industry . This study shows that it can be saved 20 % of the total cost.

The welfare measures for employees in an organization have always and will keep playing a pivotal role in enhancing the morale of the employees. These schemes facilitate thrust for both the employee and employer relations. An employee's welfare is inherent core component, as they act as life blood for achieving the objectives of an organization. The main intention behind implementing the welfare measures is to secure the employee force by providing proper human condition of work and minimizing its hazardous effect on the life of the employees and their family members. This chapter determines the various welfare measures implemented with its impact on the employees' work efficacy in different public and private sector manufacturing organizations. This chapter also articulates the importance of welfare, symptoms of frustration, standards set by the employees, implications of welfare measures and its effectiveness on employees' and the organizational productivity.

В статье рассмотрено современное состояния деятельности аптечных и фармацевтических производственных организаций Западного региона Республики Казахстан в соответствии требованиями международного стандарта GPP и GMP. Приведены результаты социологического опроса аптек по переходу международному стандарту GPP в городе Актобе. The article considers the current state of activity of pharmacy and pharmaceutical manufacturing organizations in the Western region of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the requirements of the international standard GPP and GMP. The results of a sociological survey of pharmacies on the transition to the international GPP standard in the city of Aktobe are presented.

Supply chain resilience is regarded as the ability of manufacturing organizations to maintain a high degree of environmental awareness and quickly reply and adapt after a disruption occurs. Supply chain resilience can ensure the complete structure and function of the supply chain system to the greatest extent while ensuring the continuity of information flow and logistics. The academic circles pay increasing attention to the research of supply chain resilience. However, the existing research mainly focuses on case analysis and phenomenon description, and the research conclusion lacks a theoretical and empirical basis. Hence, the present study uses the systematic review method to sort out the literature and analyses supply chain resilience research theory. Then, the development research background of supply chain resilience is discussed. This study will provide a theoretical framework and a basis for future empirical research and provide theoretical guidance for companies to build a resilient supply chain.

The study examines how the supply chain management (SCM) practices impact customer responsiveness, and the same has been tested empirically with the help of a conceptual framework based on a literature review. Previous studies on the relationship between supply chain variables and competitive advantage have been presented earlier with variables including customer satisfaction, quality and flexibility. Still, there is a shortage of literature on customer responsiveness. This study attempts to conduct a structured study well supported by the existing literature to establish the mentioned linkage. The study sample includes 433 employees from 10 Indian automobile and aerospace manufacturing organizations, and the responses have been analysed with structural equation modelling (SEM) and bivariate regression. The study establishes the linkage between SCM practices and customer responsiveness. The results infer that supply chain practices are antecedents to customer responsiveness. The study has also scrutinized the specific items of SCM practices construct that highly influences customer responsiveness. This study also highlights and identifies the research on the linkage between SCM practices and customer responsiveness in the Indian context. For practitioners, this study offers advice for effective policymaking to have more excellent customer responsiveness by concentrating on the specific elements of each SCM practice.

In the literature arena, it is claimed that lean manufacturing has been implemented successfully in organizations. However, lean manufacturing has been finding little application in classical manufacturing organizations. A careful study of the literature would indicate that non-value adding activities have been occurring in classical manufacturing organizations and preventing the successful implementation of lean manufacturing. In order to overcome this deficient situation, the research reported in this paper was carried out. By carrying out this research, non-value adding activities were mapped with lean manufacturing strategies. In the beginning, 50 non-value adding activities and 27 lean manufacturing strategies were gathered from the literature arena. Through critical thinking, the non-value adding activities were mapped with lean manufacturing strategies. The list containing this map presented in this paper will be useful to the engineers and managers for successfully implementing lean manufacturing in classical manufacturing organizations.
