The authentication of high-quality fishery products originating from specific geographical regions is urgently needed worldwide. Chinese mitten crabs (Eriocheir sinensis), originating from Yangcheng Lake, are prime counterfeiting targets for the same reasons. Foreign crabs that are cultured briefly in the lake, known as “bathed” crabs, are illegally marketed as natives, negatively impacting the product quality. To establish a method for distinguishing “bathed” and genuine crabs, in this paper we conduct a comparative investigation by an Agilent 7500ce ICP-MS on multi-mineral element profiling of the third pereiopod from genuine and one month deliberately “bathing” cultured crabs. The profiles of 11 elements were significantly different between the genuine and foreign crabs before and after bathing. The discriminant analysis reached 100% accuracy to separate the genuine and “bathed” crabs into different groups. Bathing culture was unable to converge element profiles between the genuine and foreign crabs. The biogeochemical profiles can be effective for distinguishing “bathed” crabs.

This study aims to optimize processed fishery products in Teluk Santoni Village with a constraint factor: Fish Resources (SDI) availability. The analytical tool used in this research is linear programming, maximizing the profit of processed fishery products with limitations on the availability of human resources, production capacity, and total production costs. Based on the results of data analysis with the help of the Linear Program Solver (LiPS) software, it was found that to obtain maximum profit, the strategy that needs to be done is to produce crabs 10/3 times the average amount, 2.5 times salty, empek-empek and shrimp paste, produced two times the usual production amount and did not produce shredded fish and fish crackers. The total profit obtained from the optimization is Rp. 18.85 million per month. KEYWORDS: optimization, processed fishery products, linear programming

The Lhokseumawe City Government consists of 4 (four) sub-districts, namely Muara Dua District, Muara Satu District, Blang Mangat District and Banda Sakti District. The old Pusong Village is one of the villages located in Banda Sakti District. Gampong Pusong Lama is one of the villages located on the coast of the city of Lhokseumawe, and the average population of Gampong Pusong is whose income depends on the catch of fish. The catch of fishermen is affected by the wind. If the wind is strong then their catch is small and this has an impact on fishermen's income. Under these circumstances, fishermen can only surrender and use a small amount of their past income to meet their daily needs. Fish caught by fishermen have high nutritional and protein content. The fishermen's family members consume the caught fish every day by cooking it as a side dish. Whereas in addition to being cooked as a side dish, fish can also be processed into ready-to-eat food and can increase its economic value. They still have minimal knowledge about the technology of processing fishery products other than being cooked into side dishes. Fishermen's family members, namely fishermen's mothers, have the potential to improve the economic conditions of their families. Given these conditions, it is necessary to make an effort to improve the economy and skills with science and technology. For this reason, it is necessary to make an effort to empower fishing communities, especially women in an effort to increase the income of fishermen's families. The purpose of this Community Service Activity (PKM) is to empower the community by using science and technology to improve the skills and economic income of partners through processing marine products in the form of fish. the processing does not require modern equipment, (2) training and assistance in the manufacture of modern fishery products that are rich in nutrition. (3) product packaging. The result of this activity is the increased knowledge and skills of partners in processing fishery products. The method of carrying out activities is carried out by (1) introducing nutritious modern fishery products whose processing does not require modern equipment, (2) training and assistance in the manufacture of modern fishery products that are rich in nutrition. (3) product packaging. The result of this activity is the increased knowledge and skills of partners in processing fishery products. Abstract The objectives to be achieved in this study are to determine the distribution pattern of capture fishery products at Ujong Baroh Fishing Port and determine an efficient distribution pattern in conducting a marketing system by knowing the margin received. The method used in this study is a survey method with purposive sampling data collection techniques. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and marketing margin analysis. The descriptive analysis used to describe the distribution pattern in Ujong Baroh Fishing Port. Marketing margin analysis is used to measure the profits of each actor involved in the catch distribution pattern. Results of this study obtained 2 distribution patterns that occur in Ujong Baroh Fishing Port. The first distribution pattern is fishermen to fish collectors to wholesalers to retailers to consumers; second, fishermen to fish collectors to traders to consumers. Both distribution patterns at Ujong Baroh Fishing Port are correct because these patterns get a marketing margin value of < 50% and a fisherman’s profit sharing value of > 50%, where the distribution pattern is classified as efficient. The party who benefits from both distribution patterns is fish collectors because they get a sales profit of 7%.

Abstract Standards for processing fishery products are intended to provide quality assurance and safety for fishery products. The implementation of standards involves various parties, including the governments, business actors, and consumers. Regulation on the application of standards need to be issued so that it can provide optimal benefits in accordance with the objectives of the standard. This study aimed to review the regulations regarding the application of standards governing the implementation of a quality assurance system and food safety in fishery products. This study is a policy review on legal and documents related to processed fish products. The application of standards is to provide an understanding of the methods, to practices how to produce fishery products in accordance with the requirements and food safety concerns, as well as to meet the regulatory requirements. The standards for fishery processing products include regulations in several ministries which include SKP, PMMT/HACCP, Distribution License, Halal, and SNI. The standards are enforced by some institutions that have the potential for over-regulation and duplication. The regulations need to be simplified and integrated to hinder fishery business yet improving the business ecosystem. The Government stipulated the CK Law and its derivative regulations to simplify the regulations without ignoring the food safety requirements and ensuring a conducive business environment. After being fully implemented, the effectiveness of the CK Law needs to be reviewed for improving the implementation of regulations, particularly for fish and fishery products in the future.
