The article presents an innovative method of analyzing energy companies’ strategies, which aims to identify the strategic orientation of the entities subject to the research and, thus, to initially define the directions of strategic changes in the analyzed sector. The aim of the research, the results of which were used in this publication, was to identify the features of energy sector companies’ strategies in the European Union in the period of sector transformation caused by the new climate policy. The analysis area is the energy sector, i.e., the sector whose fundamental strategic goal is energy production. The research used a critical analysis of the subject literature and desk research method with the use of the researchers’ own analytical equipment, developed for the needs of this analysis. It was assumed in the conducted research that the primary source of information in the empirical study, the information subject to subsequent analysis, was the analysis of official documents (strategies, financial reports, etc.) posted on the websites of the surveyed corporations. The research results indicate the dominance of the resource-based approach in implementing strategic postulates of the surveyed companies. Nevertheless, the operational activity focuses on the implementation of innovative solutions towards decarbonization and climate neutrality.

Design has an important role in shaping the modes of production, consumption and disposal. Decisions made early in the product, service and system development influence the majority of the environmental impact and social consequences. With sustainability emerging as the major challenge of our times, the creation of novel methodologies, economic models and innovative materials is critical. In this paper, we put forward a new methodology that aims to bridge the ecomodernist business-focused circular economy models with the expressive material driven design (MDD) approach. The ‘design out waste methodology’ (DOWM) bridges existing concepts, methods and practices, creating an innovative design and production process that redefines waste and sets it up as a subject of creative study. The purpose of this process is to help designers understand the importance of evaluating the entire life cycle of a product; it also enables local ‘degrowth’ by shifting our modes of production towards a human scale with local makers exchanging knowledge and expressing themselves through upcycled materials, while simultaneously eradicating the very concept of waste. The methodology has been developed in an iterative research-through-design process that combines experiential and tacit knowledge from local case studies with desk research of emerging case studies in MDD.

Artykuł analizuje europejską i krajową politykę transportową z punktu widzenia przyjmowanych w nich celów i zgodności z ideą zrównoważonego transportu. Autor podejmuje próbę ocenienia, na ile podmioty odpowiedzialne za kształt krajowej polityki transportowej traktują ideę zrównoważonego transportu jako istotną ideologiczną inspirację, a na ile jest to tylko hasłowa deklaracja nieznajdująca potwierdzenia w kierunkach szczegółowych działań. Obszary tej oceny obejmują społeczne aspekty funkcjonowania systemu transportowego: wpływ na rozwój gospodarczy, zagadnienie spójności społecznej i dostępności komunikacyjnej, zagadnienie ochrony środowiska i jakości życia oraz kwestię bezpieczeństwa użytkowników systemu transportowego. Artykuł zawiera wstępne wnioski z socjologicznej analizy desk research, prowadzonej na podstawie analizy treści dokumentów strategicznych krajowej i europejskiej polityki transportowej, a także analizy danych zastanych pochodzących z polskiej i europejskiej statystyki publicznej.

Purpose: Youth are considered as the most active age bracket in the working environment hence their impact in organizations such as the insurance sector cannot be ignored. The objective of this study is to discuss and analyze the implications of the youth workforce on employee engagement in the insurance sector. The purpose of this study is to help the readers understand the importance of youth workforce and their impact in the insurance sector once the youth are involved in favorable employee engagement practices. Methodology: The study adopted a desktop methodology. Desk research refers to secondary data or that which can be collected without fieldwork. Desk research is basically involved in collecting data from existing resources hence it is often considered a low cost technique as compared to field research, as the main cost is involved in executive’s time, telephone charges and directories. Thus, the study relied on already published studies, reports and statistics. This secondary data was easily accessed through the online journals and library Findings: The study found out that some of the implications of youth workforce on employee engagement are; adaptability to change, improved customer experience and satisfaction, employee retention, talent management, leadership development and improving the company’s brand and image. Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: It therefore recommended that the insurance sectors should come up with the best strategies for employee retention of the youth workforce since they play a vital role in influencing the consumer behaviors. The insurance sectors should embrace youth marketing since it is one of the best advertising techniques that has led to increase in productivity and profitability of companies and customer satisfaction.

Teknologi Blockchain adalah bidang yang menarik bagi banyak industri dan perguruan tinggi di dunia. Sebagai inovasi yang relatif baru dalam ilmu komputer, Blockchain adalah teknologi global, lintas industri, dan disruptif yang diperkirakan akan memicu pertumbuhan ekonomi global selama beberapa dekade berikutnya. Blockchain adalah sebuah sistem penyimpanan data digital yang terdiri dari banyak server (multiserver). Pada teknologi Blockchain, data yang dibuat oleh satu server dapat direplikasi dan diverifikasi oleh server yang lain. Banyak orang mengasosiasikan Blockchain dengan cryptocurrency atau mata uang kripto. Anggapan ini tidaklah salah, sebab salah satu mata uang kripto yakni Bitcoin merupakan pengguna pertama teknologi Blockchain. Namun, sebenarnya pemanfaatan Blockchain tak sebatas pada mata uang kripto. Sebab, teknologi yang berfungsi merekam data dan transaksi mini bisa digunakan untuk banyak sektor seperti pencatatan proses transaksi, dokumentasi, bahkan pemungutan suara. Dalam tulisan ini, penulis akan menyajikan usecase yang relevan dalam penggunaan teknologi Blockchain di lingkungan Pendidikan, khususnya pengolahan data di perguruan tinggi.  Penelitian yang mendasari tulisan ini didasarkan pada metode penelitian kualitatif, menggunakan desk research, tinjauan literatur, wawancara dan studi kasus untuk menghasilkan bukti. Penggunaan metode kualitatif saat ini merupakan pendekatan pragmatis dalam rangka melibatkan diri dengan subjek pada saat penelitian. Sehingga subjek yang berada pada tahap embrionik dapat terus dicermati dan diekplorasi penerapannya. Saat ini, teknologi Blockchain dengan studi kasus di dunia pendidikan masih bersifat inisiatif eksplorasi dan / atau percobaan.

This thesis is a literature study, and the objectives of this study are: to find out the types of subject replacement in chapter 30, and to find out the cause of the deletion of the subject. The method used in this scientific research is desk research. The method of data collection in this research is the method of identifying the verses of the Qur'an that have a substitute subject in it, which is contained in chapter 30, and then analyzing the substitute for the subject in the participle. using grammar rules related to subject substitution, commentaries and books related to subject participles. The results of the analysis show that there are 63 substitute subjects in chapter 30. It is divided into 4 parts. First substitute the obvious subject; second, substitute subject in the form of isim dhamir; third, substitute for the subject in the form of number;, fourth, substitute for the subject in the form of isim maushul. And also found the cause of the aborted subject, namely because it is common place; and ignorance of the subject.

Disrupsi pendidikan di perguruan tinggi akibat terdampak pandemi Covid-19 membuat perguruan tinggi harus melakukan pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Di saat yang sama, mutu pembelajaran harus tetap terjaga dan mengedepankan kualitas. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi kajian ini yaitu belum adanya standar baku penjaminan mutu pembelajaran jarak jauh dampak pandemi Covid-19 di perguruan tinggi. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis kebijakan dan literatur yang sudah ada terkait dengan penjaminan mutu pembelajaran jarak jauh dan (2) menganalisis upaya yang dilakukan perguruan tinggi dalam mengimplementasikan penjaminan mutu. Metode kajian menggunakan desk research dengan dua tahap analisis. Tahap pertama dengan melakukan reviu terhadap kebijakan dan literatur terkait penjaminan mutu pembelajaran jarak jauh, dan tahap kedua dengan menganalisis implementasi penjaminan mutu di tiga perguruan tinggi negeri dan lima perguruan tinggi swasta. Hasil kajian menunjukkan adanya variasi implementasi Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal dan belum ada standar baku yang dapat dijadikan acuan untuk menjamin mutu pembelajaran jarak jauh. Simpulan studi yakni penguatan sistem penjaminan mutu internal melalui siklus penetapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, pengendalian, dan peningkatan dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif untuk menjamin mutu pembelajaran jarak jauh di perguruan tinggi.

<em><span>The need to incorporate cultural aspects into business practice is long-standing. The cultural environment in Ukraine and Italy was reshaped, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Social networks reflected such transformation both at the personal level and in the business activities of national companies on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other media. Facebook pages were analyzed as the most popular social platform in Ukraine and Italy to reveal these changes. Content analysis of countries' leaders in retail, e-commerce, and service was carried out, namely </span><span>EVA, Rozetka, and Nova Noshta for Ukraine; and Conad, Bottega Verde, and Italo Treno for Italy. T</span><span>wo-phase desk research was conducted with ten research questions for each cultural dimension encoded in a binary system. The research has shown that Ukrainian business still manifests collaborative problem solving, compliance with social standards, and the value of human life. It demonstrates a low level of power distance and uncertainty avoidance. Ukraine is gradually changing its paradigm of thinking to a more hedonic and individualistic similar to Western Europe. In contrast, Italy shows less respect for power in all its manifestations and a greater willingness to take risks than before. The country has become less goal-oriented, restrained, and masculine but more collectivistic.</span></em>

Cilj ovog rada jest objasniti osnovne pojmove te izložiti glavne procese upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima kao jedne od funkcija rukovođenja. Nadalje, cilj mu je pridonijeti boljem poznavanju te rukovodne funkcije, njezinoj ulozi u ispunjavanju poslanja knjižnice te učinkovitom i uspješnom poslovanju knjižnice. Pristup/metodologija/oblikovanje. Rasprava započinje razgraničavanjem i kratkom razradom osnovnih pojmova (radna snaga, kadrovi, ljudski resursi, ljudski potencijali, posao, radno mjesto, zanimanje i profesija knjižničara i informacijskih stručnjaka itd.) i sadržaja koji se odnose na ljudske potencijale. U nastavku rada koristi se desk research metoda te metoda analize uobičajenih i najčešćih procesa upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima, kao što su oblikovanje radnih mjesta i poslova, planiranje ljudskih potencijala, njihovo pridobivanje, odabir, uvođenje u rad, motiviranje i nagrađivanje te obrazovanje i osposobljavanje. Rezultati ovoga rada mogu pridonijeti boljem razumijevanju i učinkovitijem upravljanju ljudskim potencijalima u knjižnici. Ograničenje se odnosi na istraživanje knjižnica samo u Republici Hrvatskoj. Praktična primjena. Sadržaj ovoga članka može pomoći knjižničarima i njima srodnim profesijama u razumijevanju i primjeni upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima u rukovođenju knjižnicom. Društveni značaj ovoga članka sadržan je u mogućnosti uspješnije primjene teorijskih spoznaja iz upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima u poslovanju knjižnica kao ustanova od posebnog društvenog interesa. Originalnost i vrijednost ovog rada jest u povezivanju teorijskih razmatranja o upravljanju ljudskim potencijalima knjižnica s njihovom praktičnom primjenom u upravljanju i rukovođenju.

The adaptive reuse of cultural heritage assets is often problematic. What emerges is the urgency of a thoughtful negotiation between built forms and emerging needs and requests. In this view, a fruitful trajectory of development arises in commoning heritage by means of adaptive reuse. Hence, the purpose of this article is to investigate how community-led adaptive heritage re-use practices contribute to social innovation in terms of new successful model of urban governance, by providing a specific focus on innovative aspects that emerge in both heritage and planning sectors. Therefore, it also aims to improve the knowledge in the innovative power of heritage when conceptualized as performative practice. To this end, the paper presents the adaptation process of a former church complex located in Naples, today Scugnizzo Liberato, one of the bottom-up initiatives recognized by the Municipality of Naples as part of the urban commons network of the city. The research results are based on desk research, a literature review, and interviews with experts and activists, conducted as part of the OpenHeritage project (Horizon 2020). Initial evidence shows that profound citizen involvement throughout the whole heritage-making process might generate innovative perspectives in urban governance as well as conservation planning practice.
