Recent papers contributed revitalizing the study of the exceptional Jordan algebra $\mathfrak{h}_{3}(\mathbb{O})$ in its relations with the true Standard Model gauge group $\mathrm{G}_{SM}$. The absence of complex representations of $\mathrm{F}_{4}$ does not allow $\Aut\left(\mathfrak{h}_{3}(\mathbb{O})\right)$ to be a candidate for any Grand Unified Theories, but the automorphisms of the complexification of this algebra, i.e., $\mathfrak{h}_{3}^{\mathbb{C}}(\mathbb{O})$, are isomorphic to the compact form of $\mathrm{E}_{6}$ and similar constructions lead to the gauge group of the minimal left-right symmetric extension of the Standard Model.

Recently gravitational and Nieh-Yan chiral anomalies have been obtained in Riemann-Cartan spacetime Class and Quantum Gravity 38 (2021)], where electrodynamics is encoddded in the metric. In this paper we follow the path of obtaining a class of deformed de Sitter metrics in teleparallelism. The existence of the unmagnetized DSMM without axial anomalies is proved. Here we obtain unified theories a la Einstein and Eddington and Schroedinger, called modified de Sitter metric (MDSM) with the novel following features: (i) First we show that a pure de Sitter unmagnetized metric in T4 does not induce gravitational anomalies. Therefore this is a motivation to study modifications of De Sitter metric. What is done in the following items. (ii) Nieh-Yan torsion anomaly in (DSMM) in teleparallel T4 geometry is shown to vanish in all cases. Gravitational non-tivial anomalies are obtained from these metrics. But torsional anomaly much used in condensed matter physics, does not vanish. From these magnetized metrics, we show that with dynamo equation with torsion gradients sources is valid from class 3 of the metrics but is torsionless sourced in second class. (iii) We show that in the gravitational anomaly of new deformed de Sitter metric one may cancell the gravitational anomaly by a proper choice of the metric function. The axial anomaly is obtained for some metric deformation as well. Use original de Sitter nonconformal metric . A simple deformation leads to the existence of the NY form in the case of magnetized de Sitter metric. This would be class IV of DSMM.

Abstract Grand Unified Theories (GUT) predict proton decay as well as the formation of cosmic strings which can generate gravitational waves. We determine which non-supersymmetric SO(10) breaking chains provide gauge unification in addition to a gravitational signal from cosmic strings. We calculate the GUT and intermediate scales for these SO(10) breaking chains by solving the renormalisation group equations at the two-loop level. This analysis predicts the GUT scale, hence the proton lifetime, in addition to the scale of cosmic string generation and thus the associated gravitational wave signal. We determine which SO(10) breaking chains survive in the event of the null results of the next generation of gravitational waves and proton decay searches and determine the correlations between proton decay and gravitational waves scales if these observables are measured.

William Shakespeare entertained many ideas about music, some of them conflicting, and he frequently represented these ideas in his plays. Music was a multifaceted art and science in early modern England, and debates over the nature and interpretation of music played out in a variety of contexts: academic, religious, political, commercial, and aesthetic. At the same time, music was a vital part of Shakespeare’s theatrical practice. He made use of his company’s musical resources to include performed music in his plays, and his characters frequently sing and quote popular ballads and songs that would have been recognized by his audiences. The combination of words about music and musical performances gave Shakespeare the opportunity to test various theories of music in complex and original ways. His plays are especially demonstrative of the ways in which certain views of music were connected to other ideological perspectives. Shakespeare’s most modern idea about music is the notion that musical meaning derives from its contexts and conventions rather than from an inherent, universal nature. Taken together, his plays provoke skepticism about unified theories of music. At the same time, they demonstrate that the seeming universality of music makes it an extremely powerful tool for both the polemicist and the dramatist.

Abstract Recent papers of Todorov and Dubois-Violette[4] and Krasnov[7] contributed revitalizing the study of the exceptional Jordan algebra h3(O) in its relations with the true Standard Model gauge group GSM. The absence of complex representations of F4 does not allow Aut (h3 (O)) to be a candidate for any Grand Unified Theories, but the group of automorphisms of the complexification of this algebra isisomorphic to the compact form of E6. Following Boyle in [12], it is then easy to show that the gauge group of the minimal left-right symmetric extension of the Standard Model is isomorphic to a proper subgroup of Aut(C⊗h3(O))

Abstract While the observation of nucleon decay would be a smoking gun of Grand Unified Theories (GUTs) in general, the ratios between the decay rates of the various channels carry rich information about the specific GUT model realization. To investigate this fingerprint of GUT models in the context of supersymmetric (SUSY) GUTs, we present the software tool SusyTCProton, which is an extension of the module SusyTC to be used with the REAP package. It allows to calculate nucleon decay rates from the relevant dimension five GUT operators specified at the GUT scale, including the full loop-dressing at the SUSY scale. As an application, we investigate the fingerprints of two example GUT toy models with different flavor structures, performing an MCMC analysis to include the experimental uncertainties for the charged fermion masses and CKM mixing parameters. While both toy models provide equally good fits to the low energy data, we show how they could be distinguished via their predictions of ratios for nucleon decay rates. Together with SusyTCProton we also make the additional module ProtonDecay public. It can be used independently from REAP and allows to calculate nucleon decay rates from given D = 5 and D = 6 operator coefficients (accepting the required SUSY input for the D = 5 case in SLHA format). The D = 6 functionality can also be used to calculate nucleon decay in non-SUSY GUTs.
