3D terrains used in digital animations and videogames are typically created by several collaborators with a single-user application, which constrains them to update the shared terrain from their PCs, using a turn-taking strategy. Moreover, collaborators have to visualize the terrain through 2D views, confusing novice users when conceiving its shape in 3D. In this article, we describe an architecture for collaborative applications, which allow co-located users to sketch a terrain using their mobile devices concurrently. Two interaction modes are supplied: the standard one and an augmented reality-based mode, which helps collaborators understand the 3D terrain shape. Using the painting with brushesparadigm, users can modify the terrain while visualizing its shape evolution through the camera of their devices. Work coordination is promoted by enriching the 3D space with each collaborator’s avatar, which provides awareness information about identity, location, and current action. We implemented a collaborative application from this architecture that was tested by groups of users, who assessed its hedonic and pragmatic qualities in both interaction modes and compared them with the qualities of a similar Web terrain editor. The results showed that the augmented reality mode of our prototype was considered more attractive and usable by the participants.

Background: At the beginning of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, reduced admissions for cerebrovascular events were identified, but acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) has remained one of the leading causes of death and disability for many years. The aim of this article is to review current literature data for multidisciplinary team (MDT) coordination, rational management of resources and facilities, ensuring timely medical care for large vessel occlusion (LVO) AIS patients requiring endovascular treatment during the pandemic. Methods: A detailed literature search was performed in Google Scholar and PubMed databases using these keywords and their combinations: acute ischaemic stroke, emergency, anaesthesia, airway management, mechanical thrombectomy, endovascular treatment, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), COVID-19. Published studies and guidelines from inception to April 2021 were screened. The following nonsystematic review is based on a comprehensive literature search of available data, wherein 59 were chosen for detailed analysis. Results: The pandemic has an impact on every aspect of AIS care, including prethrombectomy, intraprocedural and post-thrombectomy issues. Main challenges include institutional preparedness, increased number of AIS patients with multiorgan involvement, different work coordination principles and considerations about preferred anaesthetic technique. Care of these patients is led by MDT and nonoperating room anaesthesia (NORA) principles are applied. Conclusions: Adequate management of AIS patients requiring mechanical thrombectomy during the pandemic is of paramount importance to maximise the benefit of the endovascular procedure. MDT work and familiarity with NORA principles decrease the negative impact of the disease on the clinical outcomes for AIS patients.

The so-called ‘platform economy' or ‘gig economy' and its ambivalent effects on the working environment is a focal point of social science research. The contribution analyses, based on a case study, algorithmic work in the platform economy, its working conditions, and the way gig workers organised and articulated their protest. The algorithmic management of Lieferando (formerly Foodora) governs its employees through algorithmic-driven and standardized work coordination. Therefore, different conflicts between the company and its workers arose, concerning working conditions, working relations, and co-determination. Organising, protest, and established co-determination mechanisms play a crucial role for the employees. As a result, there exists currently a few institutionalized relationships between the platform and its workforce in Germany.

Human resources are the main resources in an organization that functions as the main organization and the activities of the organization as well as one of the main spearheads for each organization's operations. And besides increasing human resources also required aspects of the company that are needed to provide knowledge well to carry out the direction of the organization. The purpose of this study was to study the partial and simultaneous interaction of work discipline variables, work experience, and organizational culture on employee performance at PT Kumala Indonesia Shipyard. This quantitative study used a sampling technique of 107 participants. Data collection was carried out by questionnaire interviews with all respondents using a Likert scale as a measurement scale and SPSS Version 22 as a data processing application. As a result of the T-Test, the partial variables of work coordination, work experience, and organizational culture have a positive and significant influence on the performance of the employees of PT Kumala Indonesia Shipyard. And results of the F Test states that simultaneous work variables and positive and significant work experience on employee performance, work experience, and simultaneous organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

In this paper, we contribute a temporal perspective on work coordination across collaborating occupations. Drawing on an ethnographic study of medical specialists—surgeons, pathologists, oncologists, and radiologists—we examine how their temporal orientations are shaped through the temporal structuring of occupational work. Our findings show that temporal structuring of occupational practices develop in relation to the contingencies and materialities of their work and that this shapes and is shaped by specialists’ temporal orientations. Further, we show that differences in occupations’ temporal orientations have important implications for coordinating work. More specifically, our study reveals how the domination of one temporal orientation can lead to recurrent strain, promoting a competitive trade-off between the different temporal orientations in guiding interaction. This temporal orientation domination is accompanied by a persistent emotional strain and potential conflict. Finally, we suggest that, alternatively, different temporal orientations can be resourced in solving coordination challenges through three interrelated mechanisms, namely juxtaposing, temporal working, and mutual adjusting. In so doing, we show how temporal resourcing can be productive in coordinating work.

Kata kunci: komponen; memformat; gaya; styling; masukkan (minimal 3 hingga 5 kata kunci)   Abstract: Letters have become an important written communication medium to meet the needs of many organizations or companies. These needs can be in the form of orders, reminders, requests and so on that are considered important and need to be archived. The role of the letter in the organization or company becomes important in forming good work coordination, both within one section / division, or between parts / divisions, or outside the organization or company. Similar things also occur at PT.MNC Mediacom Cable. PT.MNC Mediacom Cable is still using Microsoft Excel as a tool for recording all correspondence letters in the PT.MNC Mediacom Cable environment. With these conditions, problems such as code writing errors or archiving errors can occur due to the lack of automation in managing mail. By building a letter making application system, can help the performance of employees in the process of making letters and correspondence with a draft that is automatically programmed into the system, the system built can provide information on incoming letters or leave and resign submission letters that have been approved by HRD.
