The concept of sustainability has started to take place in researches in the current period. At present, where urbanization continues rapidly, the idea of sustainability has become a necessity rather than an option. At this point, it is critical to address these current problems in design education. Sustainability should also take its place in design education. Based on these concepts, a studio structure was created at Istanbul Technical University, Department of Interior Architecture with third-year students as participants in 2021. The project is about the scope of sustainability awareness in future scenarios by teaching children the idea of sustainability. The studio proposes future scenarios with play experience and develops the idea by using scenario-based design as a design methodology. Participants were asked to design a play that creates alternatives to discuss sustainability through their works. Using this potential, the studio aimed to convey the importance of environmental sustainability to new generations in future scenarios.

Currently, a number of educational organizations in Russia and abroad, including the National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” (MPEI), are introducing the European improvement model EFQM, designed to analyze and improve the educational, scientific and other activities of the departments. In accordance with this model, each university department is assigned a score equal to the sum of points for two groups of criteria: criteria from the group of opportunities and criteria from the group of results. To obtain such assessments, a commission consisting of external experts, EFQM assessors and university staff meets with heads of departments. Based on the results of the discussion of the results of the meetings, the commission determines the score and rating of the departments in accordance with the EFQM model. The purpose of the work presented in the article is to study the possibility of using machine learning to simplify the work of experts in terms of obtaining estimates according to criteria from a group of results. The article proposes a system for evaluating the activities of departments according to criteria from a group of results based on machine learning. A program in the Python programming language has been developed, which evaluates the activities of departments according to these criteria for each department of the MPEI. The program receives the initial data for such assessments from the monitoring system of key performance indicators implemented in MPEI.

Studies on the influence of blood groups, alleles and antigens of erythrocytes on the fat content in the milk of mares of heavy draft breeds were carried out on the basis of the dairy farm of the Semyonovskiy breeding plant CJSC and in the laboratory of clinical diagnostics and biochemical research of the Gary State University, Department of Livestock Production Technology. The chemical composition of milk from mares of heavy draft breeds was determined in the laboratory of the breeding kumys complex of ZAO PZ "Semyonovsky". The analysis of milk for fat content was carried out on the device "Klever-1M". The allele pool was determined according to the D blood group system of the Lithuanian and Russian heavy draft breeds, bred in ZAO PZ "Semyonovskiy". According to the D blood group system, 19 out of 36 possible genotypes have been established in Russian and Lithuanian mares. The highest fat content was observed in Lithuanian heavy draft mares with DdkDcgm genotypes and Russian heavy draft mares with DcgmDdghm genotypes. The share of genotypic influence on the fat content in milk was 0.1227 (p>0.95) and 0.1881 (p>0.95), respectively for breeds. Taking into account the revealed positive relationships of immunogenetic parameters with the content of fat in the milk of mares, it is possible to recommend the use of the results obtained to adjust the selection in terms of selection and breeding work.

Abstract Objectives The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence and clinical features of pigmented oral lesions from Thailand. Materials and Methods Biopsy records of the Department of Oral Pathology, Chulalongkorn University, Department of Oral Diagnosis, KhonKaen University, Department of Oral Biology and Oral Diagnostic Sciences, Chiangmai University, Department of Stomatology, Prince of Songkla University, and Rangsit University were reviewed for oral pigmented lesions diagnosed during 1999 to 2019. Demographic data were culled from the biopsy records. Ages of the patients were subdivided into 10-year intervals. Locations of the lesions were classified as gingiva, labial/buccal mucosa, palate, floor of the mouth, tongue, as well as the combination of sites. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics using SPSS version 20.0. Results Of the 47,175 accessioned cases, 241 cases (0.51%) were diagnosed in the category of pigmented oral lesions. The age of the patients ranged from 1 month to 88 years with the mean ± standard deviation = 38.74 ± 20.96 years. Regarding gender, 172 patients (71.37%) with pigmented lesions were females, while 69 patients (28.63%) were males. The female-to-male ratio was 2.49:1. The majority of the pigmented lesions were encountered at the gingiva (29.88%) followed by labial/buccal mucosa (26.97%), palate (14.94%), lip (10.79%), alveolar mucosa (9.54%), and others (7.88%), respectively. The three most common pigmented oral lesions in the present study were nevus (39.83%), followed by melanotic macule (28.63%) and amalgam tattoo (17.43%), respectively. Conclusions The most common pigmented oral lesion in the present study is nevus. Demographic data of the patients in the present study are in accordance with previous studies with minor differences. Even though pigmented lesions of the oral cavity constitute a small portion of the oral pathology biopsies, accurate diagnosis is important since there is an overlap in clinical appearance of benign pigmented lesions and melanoma.

Abstract The article highlights some results of scientific work conducted by the Institute of Architecture and Design of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Department of Fine Arts and Design, Ternopil Pedagogical University, Department of Design Architectural Environment Lviv National Agrarian University and Art TheoryVasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.Scientists study the art of temple building on the territory of Ukraine. The analysis was conducted based on reliable sources - archival, publications of leading scientists, their own field research. The method of field inspections included visual inspection of sacred complexes, architectural measurements, photography, sketches, etc. The aim of the scientific work is to study the genesis of the architectural and constructive creation of the sacral dome space through the tradition of Ukrainian shrines and the development of modern trends in temple building. Tradition is one of the most important components and means of creating Ukrainian church architecture. It is an expression of national features and characteristics, its identification. The most canonical type of Ukrainian churches is the cross-domes churches, which is associated with the adoption of Christianity. This tradition is closely connected with the liturgical process and is based on a combination of Eastern and Western building traditions. In figurative and compositional expression, the dome is dominant, and tectonic accent. The architecture of dome temples depends on the capabilities of structures and building materials, which are important factors in the formation process. The authors explore the traditional ways of erecting cross-dome temples on the territory of Ukraine, which are indicative and expressive features of Ukrainian temples. An important group of dome temples are buildings created in the modern period, when architects were looking for signs of Ukrainian national style. Particularly valuable is research related to the construction of neoukrainian traditional and neoteric temples designed by Ukrainian architects. Their planning and spatial decisions directly depend on new construction materials and design solutions. Some temples are described, which are an example of innovation, but at the same time are based on national traditions. Thus, the article examines the genesis of the creation and architecture of the Ukrainian cross-domed temples. Defined peculiarities of the search for national features and identification in the Ukrainian temple building in the interwar period was determined. Highlighted contribution of modern architects and designers to the process of revival of temple building in Ukraine.

The article interlinks sociology and classrooms through the lens of teaching gender studies. It argues that to address the challenges of teaching gender studies to students of sociology at a university department, of a state university, it has to be placed within the complex terrain of classrooms. It states that while there is a discussion on the challenges of framing feminist pedagogy and teaching gender studies in India, there is inadequate engagement with the issue of; one, the changing nature of the classroom and its relevance and impact in the structuring of the disciplinary theories, methodologies and pedagogy and two, the challenges of operationalising feminist pedagogy within classrooms.

This paper, emphasizing the importance of native language awareness in translation and drawing on problems observed in university students, sets out with an assumption that native language awareness, which is supposed to have satisfactorily developed either naturally or through previous stages of education, may undergo a serious process of “interruption” or “blockage ”, as we call it, during written translations made particularly from the source language (English) to the mother tongue (Turkish). The fact that stu¬dents can recognize their mother tongue mistakes either after self-monitoring or after the instructor’s remarks may indicate that translated texts, which are seemingly Turkish, yet lacking many of the naturally well-formed fea¬tures of the mother tongue discourse, suffer from such problems either due to the heavy concentration of mind on the source language structures or due to the problems originating from the gaps in the translation training. Performances of a total of 60 subjects, comprising an equal number of freshman and senior students from two different departments at Hacettepe University - Department of Linguistics and Department of Translation and Interpretation - have been compared through tests of English, mother tongue awareness and translation to find out (a) what actual reasons lie behind the problem, (b) whether there is any positive improvement from the freshman to the senior groups in both departments, and (c) whether extensive translation training marks a positive effect on students to help them avoid problems concerning native language awareness.

Purpose University department efficiency evaluation is a performance assessment on how departments use their resources to attain their goals. The most widely used tool in measuring the efficiency of academic departments in data envelopment analysis (DEA) deals with crisp data, which may be, often, imprecise, vague, missing or predicted. Current literature offers various approaches to addressing these uncertainties by introducing fuzzy set theory within the basic DEA framework. However, current fuzzy DEA approaches fail to handle missing data, particularly in output values, which are prevalent in real-life evaluation. Thus, this study aims to augment these limitations by offering a fuzzy DEA variation. Design/methodology/approach This paper proposes a more flexible approach by introducing the fuzzy preference programming – DEA (FPP-DEA), where the outputs are expressed as fuzzy numbers and the inputs are conveyed in their actual crisp values. A case study in one of the top higher education institutions in the Philippines was conducted to elucidate the proposed FPP-DEA with fuzzy outputs. Findings Due to its high discriminating power, the proposed model is more constricted in reporting the efficiency scores such that there are lesser reported efficient departments. Although the proposed model can still calculate efficiency no matter how much missing and unavailable, and uncertain data, more comprehensive data accessibility would return an accurate and precise efficiency score. Originality/value This study offers a fuzzy DEA formulation via FPP, which can handle missing, unavailable and imprecise data for output values.
