The processing of Cu, Co, and Zn at the Boleo project in Mexico involves two-stage (oxidation–reduction) leaching to extract a total of 85–88% Cu in 4 h. The first stage is an oxidation leaching using sulphuric acid (120 kg/tonne ore) at an Eh of 900 mV for 2 h. Then, the reduction stage takes place in 2 h with SO2 gas sparging for Mn and Co extraction at an Eh of 350–370 mV. The final extraction rates of metal values are 92% of Mn, 80% of Co, and 60% of Co, respectively, after 4 h of leaching at 70 °C. However, the same metal recoveries were obtained within 2 h using an equal amount of sulphuric acid and the addition of 25 kg of SO2 per tonne of ore in a single stage leaching in this research. In this case, the Fe extracted from the ore as Fe2+/Fe3+ is believed to have acted as an electrochemical couple contiguously leaching the Cu sulphide and Mn oxides, which also increased the Cu recovery as the Cu mineralised mostly intergrowths in these mineral structure matrices. A significant improvement was made in which the leaching time was halved to 2 h compared to 4 h in the previous plant design and current operation, involving the two-stage oxidation–reduction leaching.

Financial service activities provided by Islamic banking in Indonesia are applied with various service contracts such as wakalah, hawalah and kafalah. In its current operation, the service contract is still an issue that is discussed, especially regarding the conformity of the contract to sharia provisions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the service contracts of Islamic banks in the review of fiqh muamalah maliyah. The type of qualitative research used in this study describes descriptively to provide a clear picture of the implementation of the contract used in the service products provided by Islamic banking. The literature study in this study was carried out by collecting data in the form of journals, books, Fatwa DSN, KHES in order to strengthen the conclusions that were built. The results of this study describe the operational concepts of service contracts: wakalah, hawalah and kafalah in Islamic banking. Furthermore, the findings in this study reveal that service contracts in wakalah, hawalah and kafalah contracts that are applied to various products in Islamic banking are appropriate in the review of fiqh muamalah maliyah.

Objective: Designing a CPFR (collaborative planning forecasting and replenishment) model for the delivery of diabetes and arterial hypertension medicines from a health insurance company (EPS) to a healthcare provider (IPS) and comparing the performance of this collaborative chain to that of the traditional one through their corresponding supply chain costs. Methodology: A series of collaboration agreements involved in joint planning were established according to the designed CPFR model. This allowed (i) raising the levels of interaction between the health insurance company, the healthcare provider, the supplying pharmaceutical laboratories, and the patients; (ii) determining demand forecasts; (iii) locating distribution centers; and (iv) defining medicine distribution strategies oriented to the minimization of costs along the chain. Subsequently, the main differences between the current operation and CPFR models at the level of structure and decisions were characterized and then evaluated in terms of supply chain costs. Results: The significant impact of the proposed model is demonstrated. The total monthly cost of operating the chain is reduced by 11.2 % on average. Within the proposed innovation, an outstanding place is held by the savings reached in the purchase and distribution of medicines from the laboratory to the distribution centers, and by the customer satisfaction differences, which increased 15.3 % on average during the studied six-month period.
