Handwritten documents in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system can come from different sources and usually have different designs, sizes, and subjects (i.e. bills, checks, invoices, etc.). Given these documents were filled manually, they have to be inspected to detect various kinds of issues (missing signature or stamp, missing name, etc.) before being saved in the ERP system or processed by an OCR engine. In this paper, the authors present a transfer learning approach to detect issues in scanned handwritten documents, using an award-winning deep convolutional neural network (InceptionV3) and different machine learning algorithms such as Logistic Regression (LR), Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Naive Bayes (NB). The experiment shows that the combination of InceptionV3 and LR got an accuracy of 91.8% for missing stamp detection. This can allow using this approach in an ERP system as an automatic verification procedure in a document processing flow.

Abstract: This project is concerned with the digitalization of NGO operations and the entirety of its working operations including making of an ERP system which streamlines the working of the NGO. It includes the working of the NGO, the financial aspects. NGOs face a multitude of issues when it comes to management and those issues include, tracking volunteer activity, financial transparency, volunteer id database etc. The above problems have been identified with a substantial survey of people working in such organization and our own personal experience. Manual processes and unwieldy amounts of knowledge are the norms for several non-profits, which makes human error and security oversights more likely. Subsequent surveys are conducted about these problems. Hence, we can discuss on improving on these problems and completion of a fully working website with its implementation concluding a better system and digitalization of the NGO program. RFID technology is being widely used in most areas that are supported by ERP systems. With the help of RFID tags and readers placed at various locations throughout a furniture company, the presence of various objects in the factory can be monitored in real time. Readers receiving information from RFID tags can transmit it directly into the system and create databases or initiate business processes. The basic resources that can be tracked using RFID are human and machine resources as well as warehoused inventories, spare parts, tools, semi-finished and finished products. The only condition that must be met by the tracked object is that it can be tagged. The furniture industry is continuously growing. With factories expanding to tens of thousands of square metres and employing thousands of workers, knowledge of who or what is where at any given time is very important for optimising plant operations. Being able to gain this knowledge in real time is very useful and saves a lot of resources over the long term. Monitoring of resources in an ERP system using RFID technology is very popular nowadays. The improvement of the implemented solution leads to an ever increasing degree of control. However, it is important to maintain it at an optimal level, because otherwise it may unnecessarily disturb employees in their daily duties or generate more work for them without returning a measurable benefit.

Cloud ERP is a type of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that runs on the vendor’s cloud platform instead of an on-premises network, enabling companies to connect through the Internet. The goal of this study was to rank and prioritise the factors driving cloud ERP adoption by organisations and to identify the critical issues in terms of security, usability, and vendors that impact adoption of cloud ERP systems. The assessment of critical success factors (CSFs) in on-premises ERP adoption and implementation has been well documented; however, no previous research has been carried out on CSFs in cloud ERP adoption. Therefore, the contribution of this research is to provide research and practice with the identification and analysis of 16 CSFs through a systematic literature review, where 73 publications on cloud ERP adoption were assessed from a range of different conferences and journals, using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Drawing from the literature, we found security, usability, and vendors were the top three most widely cited critical issues for the adoption of cloud-based ERP; hence, the second contribution of this study was an integrative model constructed with 12 drivers based on the security, usability, and vendor characteristics that may have greater influence as the top critical issues in the adoption of cloud ERP systems. We also identified critical gaps in current research, such as the inconclusiveness of findings related to security critical issues, usability critical issues, and vendor critical issues, by highlighting the most important drivers influencing those issues in cloud ERP adoption and the lack of discussion on the nature of the criticality of those CSFs. This research will aid in the development of new strategies or the revision of existing strategies and polices aimed at effectively integrating cloud ERP into cloud computing infrastructure. It will also allow cloud ERP suppliers to determine organisations’ and business owners’ expectations and implement appropriate tactics. A better understanding of the CSFs will narrow the field of failure and assist practitioners and managers in increasing their chances of success.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a major role in the resilience of the economy in Indonesia. Therefore, the development of MSMEs is the concern of many parties. One of them is to help MSMEs to get better at using information system technology. Covid-19 pandemic has encouraged the transformation of business management to increase information technology implementation. The use of ERP in business improvement is a must in the era of information digitization. By using an ethnographic approach to identified problems, this study examines factors that can be the key to successful ERP implementation in MSMEs. This study uses several MSMEs with various business sectors but joined in the same group. The group is a combination of MSMEs who are currently testing the implementation of a new ERP-based application. The process of acceptance of the application of the new ERP system turned out to be strongly influenced by the culture of the individual and the culture of the participant group. Our research focused on Javanese culture's impact on MSMEs. We found that Javanese as the most Indonesian-dominated culture has a great impact on MSMEs behaviour. Our result shows that common Javanese ethnic culture dominated their behaviour. Their behaviour tends refer to three concepts: madu basa, madu rasa, and madu brata (Sutarto, 2006). There are some characteristics in our sample. There are tend to avoid uncertainty, use a personal approach to avoid confrontation in their business, easily adapt to different conditions. They also tend to be cynical and pessimistic, including in addressing the information needs for their business. The results of the qualitative analysis carried out found that certain cultural elements have limited the success of ERP implementation in MSMEs.

Abstract The article considers the use of cascade and multi-pass implementation models of corporate information systems in case of business and technological uncertainty. A review of waterfall, iterative and spiral ERP-systems implementation models is given. The business and technological uncertainties inherent in software systems implementation projects are introduced. The basic principles of development complex applications in ERP-systems are analyzed, including the rules of evolution and functionality. One compares business uncertainty for refined requirements in the waterfall and Agile-based implementation models, which operate with a change request and allocation requirements to a new round of development respectively. There is no or minimal technological uncertainty in ERP-systems implementation projects, however high business uncertainty exists, which can not be decreased by any basic implementation approaches. The application area of the waterfall and multi-pass implementation models is clarified for ERP projects from scratch, rollout and evolution under business uncertainty.

Sinar Sosro uses SAP as its ERP program. The distribution system is capable of handling the company's manufacturing, logistics, inventory, shipping, invoicing, and accounting processes. This system helps control business activities such as sales, delivery, production, inventory management, quality management, and human resources. The modules used in SAP are inventory management, plant maintenance, production, finance and accounting, human resource management.
