Palestine Newspaper is one of the most important Palestinian newspapers, as it was published during (1911-1967). The newspaper attached great importance to the political developments in Iraq and Kurdistan, following the February 8th, 1963 coup, until the November 18th, 1963 coup. Since the first day of the coup, it followed the Kurds' position towards it, and then a Kurdish delegation went to conduct negotiations in Baghdad. Closely, the newspaper kept following the developments of those negotiations. It was constantly relaying the statements of Iraqi and Kurdish officials about negotiations. Until fighting broke out again on June 10th, 1963, when the newspaper published almost daily governmental data regarding its military operations in Kurdistan. The newspaper also followed and published the data and statements of the leadership of the Kurdish revolution. As well as following up on the positions of other countries on the Kurdish issue, especially the Soviet Union and Syria. In fact, the newspaper is one of the good and important sources on the developments of the Kurdish national movement in Iraq at that stage. Abstract From June 10th to 13th, 2019, a continuous heavy rainfall occurred in Longchuan County, Guangdong Province, causing many landslide hazards. Among Longchuan County districts, Mibei village is one of the hardest-hit areas and suffered severe losses. In this paper, field investigation, remote sensing image interpretation , and UAV aerial photography were used to investigate and analyze hazard characteristics. Combined with rainfall monitoring data, laboratory and field tests data, and existing research results, the characteristics and failure mechanism of group-occurring landslides in Mibei village were studied. Because of the continuous heavy rainfall, 327 landslides occurred in the study area, mainly distributed in the north of the Mibei river and along the X158 road. The terrain slope of landslide hazards ranged from 35° to 45°, and the slope structure can be divided into two types. Granite residual soil was the main part of landslide mass, and sliding surface developed along with the interface between bedrock and covering layer. The continuous heavy rainfall from June 10th to 13th was the main triggering factor of the disaster. The total precipitation was 281.3 mm, and the rainfall on June 10th was 153.5 mm. The rain led to the continuous increase of volume water content in granite residual soil and completely weathered granite. The shear strength and parameters of the two materials changed differently, and slope stability continued to decrease, and then landslides occurred under terrain conditions and engineering excavation space. Untimely support and unreasonable support measures for the excavation slope exacerbated the disaster. The development degree of debris flows in the study area was very low, and debris flows were shown as the secondary disaster of landslides. The branch gully terrain is the key to transforming the landslide into the debris flow, and a large amount of loose deposits in the main gully will become the potential source of debris flow in the future.

ObjectiveResearch on the antidepressant effects of sleep deprivation (SD) is lagging and has not produced completely uniform results in humans and animals. The present study aimed to reassess the effect of SD on patients and animals by meta-analysis based on updated research.MethodsWe searched PubMed, Embase and Cochrane Library for articles since the first relevant literature published up to June 10th, 2019. Data on sample characteristics, features of SD, and tests for depression were extracted.ResultsFourteen articles were included, eight on humans and six on animals. We found that when the duration of SD in patients was 7–14 days, it reflected antidepression [-1.52 (−2.07, −0.97); I2=19.6%]. In animals, the results of sucrose consumption experiments showed that SD has depressogenic effects [-1.06 (−1.63, −0.49); I2=81.1%], while the results of forced swimming experiments showed that SD treated depression [-1.17 (−2.19, −0.16); I2=80.1%], regardless of the duration of sleep deprivation.ConclusionSD can be an effective antidepressant measure when the duration is 7–14 days in patients. In animal studies, SD has shown more antidepressant effects when measured by forced swimming experiments, whereas using sucrose consumption tests had the effect of worsening depression.

This article was in fact a lecture delivered by the author on June 10th, 2018 in Surabaya during the national Seminar touching on the Catholic Church in Indonesia and the actual Indonesian political Situation called “Tahun Politik” (Political Year). The author spoke about the Indonesian Catholic Church in the midst of Indonesian political struggle and the future challenges the Catholic Church should face. There were three social-political Phenomenons that have damaged and are still damaging the life of Indonesian nation, including the Indonesian Catholic church, namely the complicated birocratization; the unhealthy politization of the religion and the demoralization of the law. These phenomenons should be taken into account by the Catholic Church, when it comes to concrete commitment of the Catholic Church to give positive impact on Indonesian society based on its own Catholic faith.
