Traditional electronic countermeasure incident intelligence processing has problems such as low accuracy and stability and long processing time. A method of electronic countermeasure incident intelligence processing based on communication technology is proposed. First, use the integrated digital signal receiver to identify various modulation methods in the complex signal environment to facilitate the processing and transmission of communication signals, then establish an electronic countermeasure intelligence processing framework with Esper as the core, and flow the situation to the processing conclusion through the PROTOBUF interactive format Redis cache. The data can realize the intelligent processing of electronic countermeasure incidents. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper increases the recall rate by 5 to 20% compared with other methods. This method has high accuracy and stability for electronic countermeasure incident intelligence processing and can effectively shorten the time for electronic countermeasure incident intelligence processing.

Based on the path encoding pulse compression teleology, a novel method for obtaining high-power microwave (HPM) pulse with ultrahigh repetition frequency is proposed in this paper. The mechanism of the path encoding pulse compression teleology is first introduced. And then, the obtained HPM pulse is analyzed. Theoretical analysis shows that the peak power of MW level and the repetition frequency of MHz level for the generated HPM pulse can be easily reached. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this method for obtaining HPM pulse with ultrahigh repetition frequency characteristic, a HPM-obtaining experiment was carried out based on an S-band microwave source. The HPM pulses with the width of 1 ns, 2 ns, and 3 ns are studied, respectively. The measured results show that the HPM pulse with the power higher than 100 kW and the repetition frequency of 250 kHz at the frequency of 2.856 GHz is easily obtained. The repetition frequency of the generated HPM pulse can be easily changed. Because the pulse with the power higher than 100 kW and the repetition frequency of several hundreds of kHz is obtained for the first time, this type of pulse will have a broad prospect of application in the communication, radar, and electronic countermeasure fields. In addition, the effect experiment of interfering communication and control links was carried out by utilizing the ultrahigh repetition frequency characteristic of the generated HPM pulse. Also, the experiment results show the feasibility of this pulse for interfering the communication and control links.

In the field of electronic countermeasure, the recognition of radar signals is extremely important. This paper uses GNU Radio and Universal Software Radio Peripherals to generate 10 classes of close-to-real multipulse radar signals, namely, Barker, Chaotic, EQFM, Frank, FSK, LFM, LOFM, OFDM, P1, and P2. In order to obtain the time-frequency image (TFI) of the multipulse radar signal, the signal is Choi–Williams distribution (CWD) transformed. Aiming at the features of the multipulse radar signal TFI, we designed a distinguishing feature fusion extraction module (DFFE) and proposed a new HRF-Net deep learning model based on this module. The model has relatively few parameters and calculations. The experiments were carried out at the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of −14 ∼ 4 dB. In the case of −6 dB, the recognition result of HRF-Net reached 99.583% and the recognition result of the network still reached 97.500% under −14 dB. Compared with other methods, HRF-Nets have relatively better generalization and robustness.

Deceptive jamming is a popular electronic countermeasure (ECM) technique that generates false targets to confuse opponent surveillance radars. This work presents a novel approach for hiding the actual target while producing multiple false targets at the same time against frequency diverse array (FDA) radar. For this purpose, the modified FDA radar is assumed to be mounted on the actual aircraft. It intercepts the opponent’s radar signals and transmits back to place nulls in the radiation pattern at the desired range and direction to exploit FDA radar’s range-dependent pattern nulling capability. The proposed deceptive jammer produces delayed versions of the intercepted signals to create false targets with multiple ranges to confuse the opponent’s radar system. The novel mathematical model is proposed whose effectiveness is verified through several simulation results for different numbers of ranges, directions, and antenna elements.
