Background: Covid-19 pandemic disease, which affects the world, causes serious mortality rates. In addition to medical studies worldwide, various restriction rules have also been developed by countries in order to slow the pace of the pandemic and achieve normal living conditions. In order to reduce the sorrowful consequences of the pandemic process, home quarantines were decided and although social distance rules were applied in outdoor environments, hygiene conditions were tried to be increased at the maximum level and education was suspended for an indefinite period. A total of 39 students participated in this study, which aims to examine the recreation perceptions of sports science students in the Covid-19 process through metaphors. Aim: To analyze the situation of recreation activities in the covid-19 process through literature review, data analysis, and observations. Methods: Qualitative research method was used in this study. In this regard, our study was conducted using a (phenomenological) pattern, which is one of the qualitative research methods. Results: When Table 1 is examined, it is seen that the participants of the study consisted of 9 (23.1%) female students and 30 (76.9%) male students. The majority are around 21 (38.5%) and 22 (35.9) years old, the mean age of the total participant is 21. Only 1 (2.6%) person was infected with the Covid-19 virus, and the rest of 38 (97.4%) people were not infected. 2 (5.1%) of the participants reside in the village, 13 (33.3) in the district, and 24 (61.5) in the province. The situation of doing sports actively, on the other hand, 24 (61.5) people are doing sports actively, 15 (38.5) people are not doing sports actively. Conclusion: When the research results were examined, it was concluded that the participant students were exposed to various negative psychological situations such as their anxiety and stress levels increased, they became intolerant of uncertainty as their recreational activities stopped during the Covid-19 period. It is an important research topic to what extent the training received by the prospective teachers in order to have positive attitudes towards the handicapped is successful. This study aims to evaluate the effect of physical education and sports course for the handicapped on the attitudes of sports science students towards the handicapped. In the study, the "Attitude Toward Disabled Persons (ATDP) Scale", which was developed by Yuker and Block (1986) and adapted to Turkish by Özyürek (2006), was used as a data collection tool. The reliability coefficient of the scale was .67-.83, and the test-retest reliability coefficient was .76. A total of 76 students from Bülent Ecevit University School of Physical Education and Sports (n = 40) and Düzce University Faculty of Sport Sciences (n = 36) formed the study group who taking physical education and sports courses for the handicapped in the 2017-2018 academic year. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and independent samples t-test were used to analyze the data. Descriptive analyzes were conducted to determine the level of attitudes of the participants towards people who were handicapped. As a result of the research, it was determined that the attitude scores of the study group towards the handicapped were higher for the participants whose school type is faculty than those of the college. A difference in other parameters could not be detected.

The research aims to determine the level of relationship between the organizational cynicism and the tendency ofrevenge of sports science students. In this study, descriptive and relational screening technique was used as theresearch technique. The working group consists of 105 students (36 female, 69 male). The participants are studentwho study at Istanbul University Faculty of Sports Science in the academic year of 2017-2018. All of the studentshave been working at an organization/ a workplace for at least 6 months. As the data collection tool, two scales wereutilized with the personal information form prepared by the researchers. Organizational Cynicism Scale and RevengeScale were used. The percentage (%), frequency, skewness, kurtosis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation analysiswere used. As a result there is a positive relationship between the level of organizational cynicism and intention ofrevenge. It was revealed that gender and type of employment variables did not make a significant difference inorganizational cynicism and sub-dimensions and will for revenge. However, significant differences have beenidentified in favor of the participants with a low salary in the behavioral sub-dimension of organizational cynicism.On the other hand, the scores of organizational cynicism and will for revenge of the participants are moderate andeven low.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore employability in the context of higher education (HE) from the students’ perspective. Limited attention has been paid to student understandings of their own employability in a Sport Science context and Tymon (2011) refers to them as “the missing perspective”. Design/methodology/approach This paper presents the findings of a study of Marine Sports Science students (n=63) at a post-1992 HE institution which through the qualitative element of a mixed methods survey explored their changing articulations of their employability as they progressed through their studies. The students surveyed were in receipt of a comprehensive programme of enterprise and employability activities embedded within their programme. Findings Qualitative results showed that Marine Sport Science students’ articulations of employability expanded in vocabulary as the students progressed through their studies. Definitions also shifted from those that centred on what employers want (extrinsic) to what the student had to offer the employer (intrinsic). Originality/value There are very few examples of studies that explore employability from the students’ perspective and this paper adds understanding on this “missing perspective”. It also addresses a specific discipline area; Marine Sport Science, which has yet to feature in any literature on employability.

The aim of this study is to determine the leisure satisfaction levels of students who study sports sciences. In addition, in the study, the satisfaction levels of the students were compared according to their gender, departments and the most preferred activity type in leisure. The research was in quantitative descriptive design and consisted of a total of 379 sports sciences students, including 144 female and 235 men. The “Leisure Satisfaction Scale” developed by Beard and Raghep (1992) which is adapted to Turkish by Gökçe and Orhan (2011) and the “Personal Information Form” developed by the researcher were used as data collection tools. T-test, ANOVA and one-way MANOVA test techniques were used in the analysis of the data. According to the research findings, the leisure satisfaction of the students of Sports Sciences has been observed to be high level. In general, it was found that leisure satisfaction of those who do most physical activity is higher than those who did social, intellectual and artistic etc. activity. According to the gender factor, leisure satisfaction total score did not make a difference, but it was seen that female had higher scores than psychological and relaxation dimensions. In the comparisons between the departments, it was determined that the recreation department had more leisure satisfaction than the coaching and physical education teaching department students. It has been observed that the highest score section is recreation and the lowest score section is coaching. Finally, the research findings were discussed.

Background: Scientific research processes are of capital significance in defining problems from a critical perspective, identifying the variables, determining the relationships between these problem variables, and finding solutions to existing issues. Aim: Based on this direction, the current study aimed to examine the effects of sports science students' attitudes towards scientific research methods course on their critical thinking skills considering various variables. Methods: The study group, determined by a simple random sampling method, comprised 412 students with an average age of 21.92, studying in sports sciences. "Attitude Scale Towards Scientific Research Course" and "Critical Thinking Skills Scale" were used to scale students' scientific research and critical thinking skills. Results: The study determined that while there was no significant difference between the students according to the gender variable, there were differences according to the department and class variables. Conclusion: As a result, there is a positive relationship between students' attitudes towards scientific research methods and their critical thinking skills. Recent research in medical education suggests that program specific admission testing could have a protective effect against early dropout. Little is known about the effect of program specific admission testing on dropout in other areas of higher education. The aim of this paper was to examine if admission strategy was also independently associated with dropout for sports science students in a university setting. The study design was a prospective cohort study with a 2 year follow-up. The population was 449 sports science students admitted to a university in the years 2002-2007. The analysis used was multivariate logistic regression and the predictors examined were: admission group (grade-based or admission tested) as well as educational and socio-demographic variables. The outcome was dropout within 2 years of study start. Admission testing offered superior protection against dropout compared to grade-based admission. This result may fit with elements of previous dropout theory, student-environment fit theory and perhaps also with self-efficacy theory. Nyere forskning inden for medicinsk uddannelse indikerer at uddannelsesspecifikke optagelsesprøver kan have en beskyttende effekt i forhold til tidligt studiefrafald, men for andre universitetsuddannelser end Medicin synes denne sammenhæng endnu ikke at være blevet grundigt belyst. Formålet med dette studie var derfor at undersøge, om optagelsesprøver også beskyttede mod tidligt frafald blandt idrætsstuderende på universitetet. Studiedesignet var et prospektivt kohortestudie med to års opfølgning. Populationen var 449 idrætsstuderende, som blev optaget på Syddansk Universitet i årene 2002-2007. Data blev analyseret med multivariat logistisk regression, og følgende typer af prædiktorer for frafald blev undersøgt: Optagelseskvote (kvote 1 eller kvote 2 udprøvede), andre uddannelsesrelaterede variable samt udvalgte socio-demografiske variable. Effektmålet var studiestatus (frafaldet/ikke-frafaldet) to år efter studiestart. Vi fandt, at optagelsesprøver (kvote 2 udprøvning) virkede beskyttende i forhold til tidligt studiefrafald på idrætsstudiet sammenlignet med karakterbaseret optagelse (kvote 1 optagelse). Dette resultat kunne være i overensstemmelse med dele af allerede eksisterende frafaldsteorier, student-environment fit teori og måske også med self-efficacy teori.
