The authors of the article consider the features of the legal regulation of artificial intelligence that guarantee the sustainable development of society in the era of global digitalization. The artificial intelligence-induced transformation of the world-building is leading to a change in the legal landscape. In this regard, the authors investigate artificial intelligence as a subject and object of legal regulation. The article provides an overview of foreign and Russian legislation in artificial intelligence, based on which a legal model of a single codified act is proposed. The authors advert to the need for technical and public control when introducing artificial intelligence into operation, and also for a priori legal regulation of artificial intelligence. Based on theoretical research methods, such as the axiomatic method, analysis and synthesis, systematization, modeling and forecasting, the authors conclude that a comprehensive, consistent, systemic and prospective legal regulation can remove the possible risks of introducing AI technologies, the threat of human destruction and provide a guarantee for the sustainable development of society.

The aim of the study is to identify contradictions and obstacles to the transition to sustainable development in the territories. The methodological framework is analysis and synthesis, the concept of sustainable development, institutional analysis approaches, limited rationality and opportunism in behaviour, ideas about stakeholders, and systematic and scenario-based approaches. The Sustainable Development Goals reflect interests of the world’s population. However, the search for consensus on a strategy to achieve them is hampered by existing and emerging contradictions. The paper describes the practice of formulating a compromise on the environmental situation in the territory. The analysis of factors is presented in the context of theoretical constraints, interests of various territories and social groups. Gaps and various contradictions have been identified in the implementation of sustainable development concept in the territories. The contradictions between components of sustainable development; the essence of sustainable development tools; the competitiveness of the territory’s products and an effective system of internalization of externalities; various stakeholders are considered. The territories’ transition to sustainable development requires the removal of considered and potential contradictions. Possible directions for this are presented.

Education for sustainable development (ESD) enjoys a huge momentum worldwide in which the role of teachers for making sustainable development goals a reality has been recognized significantly. Teachers through their knowledge, attitudes and skills can bring the learning about these concepts to the curriculum and class room interaction and are in a position to influence their students. Therefore it is pertinent, that teachers are sensitised towards these issues, so that they prepare and nurture their students for making appropriate and responsible choices which contribute to a sustainable future. At this juncture it becomes crucial to understand their priorities and awareness level in context of the sustainable development. The present research paper aims to analyse the perception of forty post graduate pre-service teachers of the Chandigarh region, towards ESD through the dimensions of economic sustainability, environmental sustainability, social sustainability and cultural sustainability. For this researchers have adopted qualitative content analysis methodology for an in-depth study of the subjective responses through an open ended question. The findings suggest that most of the respondents associated the perception of ESD strongly with environmental sustainability. It is noted that the pre-service teachers lack a holistic approach towards ESD. On the basis of the findings it is recommended that there is an urgent need of integrating the concept of ESD consciously and conscientiously in India’s teacher education programmes.

Despite the importance of therapeutic tourism, it faces great obstacles that limit the growth of the sustainability of its development, among the main obstacles that stand in the way of sustaining the development of therapeutic tourism in Wadi El- Natroun is the existence of an urban phenomenon that did not follow sustainable development in its design, with the absence of coordination between the ministries and relevant bodies. It is the absence of specific mechanisms and methodology for how to choose the most important criteria and sustainable planning indicators to assess the sustainability of therapeutic resorts, as it is considered one of the most important pillars of development for the sustainability of therapeutic tourism, in order to preserve the therapeutic area's resources from pollution resulting from human use, both in construction and operation In this way. The research provides a clearer picture for enabling the sustainable development of therapeutic tourism in Wadi El- Natroun through the preparation of a methodology and guidebook to enhance the sustainability of therapeutic tourism resorts in the region and their application in way that enables development decision- makers in the region to make rational and logical decisions regarding enabling sustainable development for therapeutic tourism development in it. And through both parts of theoretical research and analysis of the current situation in the study area, the most important results were reached the conclusion of a methodology and a guideline of the most important controls, determinants and sustainability indicators. It contains three criteria with eighteen basic determinants and eighty- one main indicators with the value of indicative relative weights divided as follows: Indicators of planning and design standards with a value of (40%)- Environmental standards indicators with a value of (35%)- Administrative and societal standards indicators with a value of (25%) , that are Serve as a checklist for developers and investors when preparing therapeutic tourism resorts in the design, management and operation processes to enable the sustainability of the development of desert therapeutic tourism on the site. The research ends with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the need to apply the methodology and guidebook to therapeutic tourism resorts that are being prepared for in the region, it is considered one of the most important decision- making tools when planning to develop sustainable therapeutic tourism in the study area.

Purpose The decisions taken today relating to urban renewal interventions are rarely supported by logical and operational methodologies capable of effectively rationalising selection processes. For this purpose, it is necessary to propose and implement analysis models with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of the territory. The purpose of this paper is to define a model for the optimal allocation of scarce resources. Design/methodology/approach The Discrete Linear Programming (DLP) is used for selecting investments aimed at achieving financial, social, cultural and environmental sustainability. Findings The proposed model lends itself to the construction of investment plans on behalf of both types of decision makers, of both a public and a private nature. Research limitations/implications All projects are evaluated according to multi-criteria logics, so that it is possible to find compromise solutions, in accordance with the stakeholders’ different preferences. Practical implications The model, written with A Mathematical Programming Language using DLP logics, is tested – case study – so as to define an investment programme finalised for urban renewal of a vast area. Social implications The proposed econometric model makes it possible to obtain the optimal combination of projects for urban renewal with a view to achieving the sustainable development of the territory. Originality/value Using the proposed model, all projects are evaluated according to multi-criteria logics, so that it is possible to find compromise solutions, in accordance with the stakeholders’ different preferences.
