This study investigated the impact of COVID-19 on the nature of academic work in Colleges of Education in Ghana. The study adopted the descriptive survey design. A sample of 346 students was selected for the study. The participants chosen from the Evangelical Presbyterian College of Education, Peki College of Education and the St. Theresah College of Education in the Volta Region of Ghana through purposive, convenience and snowball sampling procedures. Data were gathered using an online questionnaire. Data were received from 270 students resulting in a 78% return rate. The data were analysed using frequencies and percentages as well as means and standard deviations. The results showed that tutors in Colleges of Education mostly taught during the COVID-19 period by sending audio recordings, texts or slide presentations to students. This was however not done in real time. Also, the tutors gave assignments and quizzes and gave feedback on the performance of the students. Finally, it was found that most students’ services were not provided satisfactorily when school came to an abrupt end because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Specifically, student counselling services, student affairs services, organisation of tutorials/seminars and practical classes as well as technical support or IT services and supervisions and mentorships were not satisfactorily provided. It was therefore recommended that authorities in Colleges of Education should liaise with officers in charge of specific services like counselling, student affairs and technical or IT support so that they can effectively and satisfactorily assist students even when they are not on campus.

The study examined e-invigilation as a means of curbing examination malpractice in colleges of education in Nigeria. The descriptive research design of a survey type was adopted in the study. The population comprises all students of College of Education, Ikere Ekiti. The sample of 250 students which were randomly selected using simple random sampling technique. A well structured questionnaire was used to collect data and was validated by some experts and reliability of the instrument was tested using the cronbach alpha coefficient and the result was found to have a reliability coefficient of 0.62 which indicated that the instrument was reliable to collect the necessary data for the study. Data collected was analyzed using mean, standard deviation and t-test was used to test the hypothesis formulated at 0.05 level of significant. The study concluded that e-invigilation will reduce examination malpractices and thereby restore the discipline among students in colleges of education since there was no significant difference in the mean responses of students on the impact of e-invigilation based on gender. The study recommended that CCTV should be installed to every lecture theatres where examination are been conducted so as to make e-invigilation effective.

This study title Effect of fixed facilitator model on NCE Technology Education Students’Attitude and Academic Performance in Niger State, Nigeria. The study used quasiexperimental design. The total population was 942, while the sample size was 216educational technology from two colleges of Education in Niger State. The test instrumentdeveloped by the researcher for the study was the Student‘s Performance AssessmentInstrument (SPAI) and Technology Education Student Attitude Questionnaire (TESAQ)which contained 50 questions. The statistic used were t-test independent sample cumulativemean and the finding of the study standard deviation. The findings of the study revealed thatNCE students performed better when taught with fixed facilitator model compared to theircounter parts taught with lecture method. Based on the results obtained the researcherrecommended that: the instructors of Technology Education should endeavor to use fixedfacilitator model in teaching Technology Education in college of education.

Nous nous proposons de répondre à cette question en analysant des productions d’étudiants : ceux-ci rendent compte de leur fréquentation d’une langue par une création plastique qui privilégie les aspects sensoriels de cette expérience. Ce double processus les amène à une réflexion métalinguistique et à une posture d’accueil du plurilinguisme. We sketch our languages and develop teaching skills Abstract: Are sensorial and plastic activities appropriate tools to develop language awareness and intercultural skills, in a college of education? To answer this question, we ask students to express their sensorial and affective experience of a language they choose: scrutinizing their productions enables us to see the impact of this activity, regarding their metalinguistic reflection and their receptiveness to linguistic and cultural plurality.

Interactions with natural surroundings provide young children with an opportunity to build knowledge, promote social skills, develop emotional dispositions, and can help them develop a caring and positive attitude toward themselves and the environment. This chapter focuses on the partnership between Towson University College of Education and the campus-based University Child Care Center and their concerted effort to bring nature-based experiences to children in spaces both outside and inside their classrooms. The authors also provide specific examples of how recycled waste is used to create instructional materials and games that help the classroom community to become more eco-conscious. The chapter also includes suggestions for future educational research into how children interact and gain knowledge from the environment and the impact this has on children's growth and development. Recommendations are provided for early childhood educators to advocate for green spaces and include environmental activities for children, families, schools, and communities.

The study was conducted to ascertain the perception of Federal College of Education Technical lecturers towards technical education research in the South-South geo-political zone of Nigeria. In pursuance of this purpose, four research questions were formulated and one hypothesis tested. The population comprised of 70 lecturers of Federal Colleges of Education (Technical) in Asaba, Umunze and Omoku. The entire population was used for the study. No sampling was done because of the fewness of the population. The design used was a survey. The instrument used was the questionnaire. On the whole 57 items were drawn using the Likert scale format. The instrument was considered valid by experts with the reliability coefficient of 0.89 using Cronbach alpha. Simple percentage and t-test were used to analyse the data. The study revealed that: Government’s inactive role in supporting and promoting research activities in colleges of education (technical) caused low morale of lecturers towards research; A lot of constraints such as poor attitude to research, falsification of research data, among others are the challenges of technical education research. The study recommends among others that: About 10 per cent of the education tax fund should be voted to research; Government should improve its communication network.

         Assessment should give more attention on the learning achievement of the curriculum.  Portfolio- based learning assessment (PBLA) is utilized in language learning materials recently .It is assessment tools to test the  learners’  learning  for instance  open-ended  problem  solving,  and creative and critical thinking, imaginative, reflective, have the capacity to apply their information in new issues, and to express oral and composing. This paper aims to discover the impact of utilizing (PBLA) on students’ performance at College of Education (Ibn –Rushd) in English Department the third stage. To fulfill the aim, a sample of the study is (64) EFL students of two groups. The study used a test and an instrument design .The test group utilize the (PBLA),the other group utilize traditional way. After the calculated the posttest of both groups connoted that the positive PBLA effect on learners` achievement. After that, survey has administered to test group. The findings showed utilizing of the (PBLA) had good effect of students' learning achievement. Setting up conclusion, suggestions and recommendation.

This study was an attempt to determine the impact of interaction between teaching media and vocabulary mastery towards students’ learning achievement in colleges of education at Jambi University. This is a quasi-experimental study with nonequivalent control and experimental group design. Based on the test for normality, homogeneity, and analysis of variance to the data students’ achievement score of experiment class can be concluded that, there are significant differences of learners’ achievement between before and after treatment in experimental class using audio-visual media. Then, there are significant differences between the learners’ vocabulary mastery on their learning achievement. The result of this study showed; 1. There is a significant effect between teaching media toward learners’ achievement. Test result obtained that p-value 0,015 (<0,05) 2. Vocabulary mastery gave the significant effect to the learners’ achievement. Test result obtained that p-value for vocabulary mastery is 0,000 (<0,05). 3. There is no interaction influence between the teaching media and vocabulary mastery towards learners’ achievement. Test result retrieved that p-value is 0,948 (>0,05).
