Different types of violence have been present in Mexico but there have been few studies that have analyzed their relationship with mental health in adolescents, especially in cities with high rates of social violence. It is important to compare different violence types and their relationship with mental health since not all relationships are the same. It appears that social violence has a stronger relationship with mental health, and for this reason it receives more attention, but other types of violence have a stronger relationship and do not receive as much attention. Chihuahua has been one of the most violent states in Mexico, and Juarez has been the most violent city in the world in 2009 and 2010. The purpose of the study is to compare the relationship of different types of violence (social, cyberbullying, partner violence, and child abuse and neglect) with mental health indicators (depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, and paranoid thoughts). There were 526 high school students, from the cities of Juarez ( n = 282) and Chihuahua ( n = 244). The mean age was 16.5 ( SD = 1.4) years and 50.6% reported being males. The relationships among the variables were analyzed using Pearson’s correlations and multiple linear regressions. Both cities that have experienced social violence like carjacking, kidnapping, and sexual assault, but they have very small or no relationships with mental health indicators. Other types of violence have stronger correlations. Our findings suggest that interventions should not focus only in preventing and dealing with social violence, but that other types of violence must also be addressed in adolescents.

Postherpetic itch (PHI), or herpes zoster itch, is an intractable and poorly understood disease. We targeted 94 herpes zoster patients to investigate their pain and itch intensities at three separate stages of the condition (acute, subacute, and chronic). We used painDETECT questionnaire (PDQ) scores to investigate the correlation between PHI and neuropathic pain. Seventy-six patients were able to complete follow-up surveys. The prevalence of PHI was 47/76 (62%), 28/76 (37%), and 34/76 (45%) at the acute, subacute, and chronic stages, respectively. PHI manifestation times and patterns varied. We investigated the relationship of PHI with neuropathic pain using the visual analog scale (VAS), which is a measure of pain intensity, and the PDQ, which is a questionnaire used to evaluate the elements of neuropathic pain. The VAS and PDQ scores did not differ significantly between PHI-positive and PHI-negative patients. A large neuropathic component was not found for herpes zoster itch, suggesting that neuropathic pain treatments may not able to adequately control the itch. Accordingly, we suggest that a more PHI-focused therapy is required to address this condition.

Pi2 micropulsations were studied for the period July 12 to August 16, 1968, from four observatories at different latitudes in Canada. Maximum occurrence was near midnight with a preference for 5–6 h UT at all longitudes studied. The relationship of Pi2 occurrence to magnetic bays and to Kp is examined. The correlation of Pi amplitudes and periods with Kp and other parameters reveals a different pattern for lower latitude stations (Ottawa and Meanook) compared with Baker Lake (73.9 °N). These results are interpreted as evidence for two different types of Pi in the different latitude regions, the lower latitude Pi being associated with hydromagnetic waves on the plasmapause. In studies of simultaneous Pi events at the four stations, the maximum amplitude occurred most frequently at Meanook. Polarization of such events was found to be different at different stations and so previously reported patterns of Pi polarization could not be confirmed.

In this study, we examine the relationship of the ASY-H index characterizing the partial ring current intensity with interplanetary medium parameters and auroral activity during the main phase of magnetic storms, induced by the solar wind (SW) of different types. Over the period 1979–2017, 107 magnetic storms driven by CIR and ICME (MC + Ejecta) events have been selected. We consider magnetic storms with Dstmin≤ – 50 nT. The average ASY-H index (ASYaver) during the magnetic storm main phase is shown to increase with increasing SW electric field and southward IMF Bz regardless of SW type. There is no relationship between ASYaver and SW velocity. For the CIR and ICME events, the average AE (AEaver) and Kp (Kp aver) indices have been found to correlate with ASYaver. The highest correlation coefficient between AEaver and ASYaver (r = 0.74) is observed for the magnetic storms generated by CIR events. A closer relationship between Kp aver and ASYaver (r = 0.64) is observed for the magnetic storms induced by ICME events. The ASYaver variations correlate with Dstmin. The relationship between ASYaver and the rate of storm development is weak.

Culture is considered as a set of practices whose purpose is the establishment of entity, product and percipient activities. In the artistic practices used versatile technology. They include Museum, gallery, curator, art collecting. Characteristics of different types of practices are private, but there are recurring characteristics. Discusses the relationship of artistic practices and the art market, which is one of the forms of circulation of works of art.

The authors review and integrate various theoretical perspectives, normative statements, and pieces of empirical evidence about the organizational structures and processes best suited for implementing different types of business strategies. Particular emphasis is given to the relationship of different types of structure, processes, and policies involved in the performance of marketing activities to the overall performance of different business strategies. Several specific research propositions are developed.

Forest sites are formed in the interaction of heterogeneous components of biogeosystem. The increase or decrease of biological component in forest biogeosystems defines the different types of strategy with opposite characteristics, representing the different lines of adaptation (to the biological medium and abiotic environment). The manifestation of adaptive strategy requires appropriate tools, which are evolving on the basis of accumulated property (information capacity) and prevailing forest sites. Forest sites can be seen as an external “order” on the evolution of adaptations. Silvicultural properties of forest biological systems work enough in the interaction of different forms of matter (biological, abiotic), mapping out a hierarchy of biogeosystems. The information potential of forest biota interconnects different levels of systemic organization of forest biogeosystems. Further development of biogeocenology and the theory and ecosystems will allow to investigate the relationship of forest biota with exogenous forest-forming factors.
