ABSTRACT Purpose: This paper analyzes the publications on the “authentic leadership” construct, based on systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis techniques, and aims to identify and analyze data regarding the chronology of publications, the identification of the most prolific journals and authors, research approaches, and the existence of authentic leadership measurement/assessment tools and its applications, besides analyzing the construction of these tools. Originality/value: Of the 431 articles analyzed, those dealing with reviews of literature do not present bibliometric data associated with the analysis of the construct measurement instruments. Design/methodology/approach: A literature review was performed systematically, using the query “authentic leadership” on the Academic Search Premier (Ebsco), Scopus, and Web of Science databases, with no starting date delimitation, with the deadline of December 2018, which resulted in the identification of 1390 articles. After eliminating duplicates and three filters, 431 documents remained for analysis. Findings: Three specific construct measurement/assessment tools were identified: the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ), the Authentic Leadership Inventory (ALI), and the Authentic Leadership Integrated Questionnaire (AL-IQ). There is a predominance of quantitative studies from 2008, with a wide application of ALQ. Instruments of quantitative measurement of authentic leadership did not emerge, only tools that evidence the presence of authenticity of leaders.

Abstract Background Health insurance literacy (HIL), defined as the ability to seek, obtain, understand health insurance, and use it once enrolled, is a concept that has only recently started to gain increasing attention. HIL is likely to influence individual’s usage of health care services and subsequent outcomes. Yet, little is known about its distribution and its associations with health(-related) outcomes, due to the fragmented nature of the field and assessment tools. The objectives of this study are to (1) summarize information on current assessment tools for HIL and related constructs, (2) describe conceptual dimensions assessed, and (3) describe psychometric properties of found tools. Methods A systematic literature review was performed using various databases (e.g. PubMed, CINAHL, Econlit), identifying literature that provided a description of tools assessing HIL and related constructs (e.g. health insurance knowledge). In the following, two independent reviewers will screen abstracts and studies included for full-evaluation. The COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement Instruments (COSMIN) will be used to assess quality of included studies and measures. Results Information on found tools will be summarized, including information on type of measure (e.g. objective or self-reported assessment), items and scales, scoring, target population, assessed domains, correlation with other measures. Preliminary results show large variations across tools that have been used to assess HIL and related constructs, with the majority not being rigorously validated. Conclusions The resulting summary of this study is intended to work as a basis for the conceptualization of HIL and development and validation of assessment tools, with the aim to homogenize and improve research in the field of HIL. Key messages Current knowledge on HIL distribution and its association with health(-related) outcomes is fragmented due to lack of consistency on HIL conceptualization and assessment. This systematic literature review aims to summarize information on current HIL assessment tools to inform the development and validation of HIL assessment tools.

The rapid increase in recent years in the number of different digital competency frameworks, models, and strategies has prompted an increasing popularity for making the argument in favor of the need to evaluate and assess digital competence. To support the process of digital competence assessment, it is consequently necessary to understand the different approaches and methods. This paper carries out a systematic literature review and includes an analysis of the existing proposals and conceptions of digital competence assessment processes and methods in higher education, with the aim of better understanding the field of research. The review follows three objectives: (i) describe the characteristics of digital competence assessment processes and methods in higher education; (ii) provide an overview of current trends; and, finally, (iii) identify challenges and issues in digital competence assessment in higher education with a focus on the reliability and validity of the proposed methods. On the basis of the findings, and as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, digital competence assessment in higher education requires more attention, with a specific focus on instrument validity and reliability. Furthermore, it will be of great importance to further investigate the use of assessment tools to support systematic digital competence assessment processes. The analysis includes possible opportunities and ideas for future lines of work in digital competence evaluation in higher education.

Students with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD) are found internationally. This systematic literature review identifies interventions conducted on these students. Although the U.S. produces abundant studies on effective school-based academic and behavioral interventions, a search of over 4,000 articles published over 6 years yielded only 11 international studies meeting the selection criteria. Out of 11 qualified studies, 6 reported therapeutic treatments, 8 targeted elementary students, 9 were conducted in self-contained classrooms, and 9 were from the U.K. These findings indicate a paucity of quantitative research determining effectiveness of EBD interventions currently used in schools worldwide. The results indicate that quantitative studies are not the standard of evidence-based practice internationally, and diagnostic criteria and terms used to identify students vary worldwide.

Social Skills Training (SST) is one of the interventions aimed at improving communication and providing new skills to schizophrenic clients with social isolation problems. SST is specifically carried out on clients with social isolation experiencing a decrease   number, frequency and quality of social contacts; endurance of contact and negativism are associated with feelings of isolated.   SST is performed through several sessions. Each session consisted of several sections such as modeling, role playing, performance feedback and transfer training. The stages in the SST not only focus on social skills, but also cognitive functions. SST can be applied to healthy and disturbed clients,    children as well as adults. Method: Literature review is based on issues, methodologies, equations and advanced research proposals. There are 5 quantitative studies and 1 bulletin. Out of Five studies conducted, one study on healthy clients and 4 disturbed clients. such as autism, high risk, and cognitive impairment.

Abstract Objectives Improving diagnosis-related education in the health professions has great potential to improve the quality and safety of diagnosis in practice. Twelve key diagnostic competencies have been delineated through a previous initiative. The objective of this project was to identify the next steps necessary for these to be incorporated broadly in education and training across the health professions. Methods We focused on medicine, nursing, and pharmacy as examples. A literature review was conducted to survey the state of diagnosis education in these fields, and a consensus group was convened to specify next steps, using formal approaches to rank suggestions. Results The literature review confirmed initial but insufficient progress towards addressing diagnosis-related education. By consensus, we identified the next steps necessary to advance diagnosis education, and five required elements relevant to every profession: 1) Developing a shared, common language for diagnosis, 2) developing the necessary content, 3) developing assessment tools, 4) promoting faculty development, and 5) spreading awareness of the need to improve education in regard to diagnosis. Conclusions The primary stakeholders, representing education, certification, accreditation, and licensure, in each profession must now take action in their own areas to encourage, promote, and enable improved diagnosis, and move these recommendations forward.

This chapter proposes to discuss the application of authentic leadership as the ‘vehicle' forward for tourism. Specifically, how authentic leaders in the tourism industry can help achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and why they are important to the Tasmanian tourism industry. As such, the authors propose the research question: How can authentic leadership enable the sustainable development of tourism in Tasmania? This chapter commences by exploring tourism in Tasmania and the related leadership gap found in the industry, followed by a brief explanation of our critical review method. The literature review then examines how tourism, a diverse industry, has the potential to contribute to the United Nation's SDGs. The authors aim to demonstrate how sound authentic leadership behaviours among tourist vendors facilitate ethical employment practices and economic growth in Tasmania. Finally, the chapter explores the possible implications of a synthesis of authentic leadership and sustainable development in the context of Tasmania.

Community nurses often care for patients with sloughy venous leg ulcers. Slough is viewed as a potential infection source and an impediment to healing, but it is unclear if active debridement of slough promotes healing. Using a clinical scenario as a contextual basis, this literature review sought research evidence to answer this clinical question. A strategy based on the ‘4S’ approach was used to identify research evidence. The retrieved evidence included one systematic review, three clinical guidelines and six qualitative and quantitative studies. The analysis suggested that there is no robust evidence to support the routine practice of active debridement of venous leg ulcers to promote healing, and that debridement is associated with increased pain. Since autolytic debridement can be achieved through the application of graduated compression therapy, active debridement may offer no additional benefit.
