2020 is a tough year for all people in the world, including Indonesia. This is due to the emergence of a new virus called Covid-19. In order to avoid a wider spread of the virus, the Indonesian government adopted the PSBB or Large-Scale Social Restrictions policy, one of which limits direct contact between humans. One of the business sectors affected by this policy is MSMEs, where business is daily in nature and relies heavily on direct interaction. After almost two months of implementing the PSBB in Indonesia, the government finally announced a new condition for Indonesia, namely "New normal". In order to be able to survive with the new normal conditions, MSME players are required to be able to adapt by prioritizing health protocols according to standards so that their business activities can continue to survive in competition. Therefore, a problem decoder is needed for MSMEs to be able to understand and apply standard health protocols in each of their business activities during the new normal period. This program provides guidance in the form of counseling and assistance to MSMEs regarding standard health protocols in business activities in new normal conditions so that they can adapt and maintain their business. In addition, Partners were also provided with standardized personal protective equipment and other health support tools that were able to help their business activities during the Covid-19 pandemic..

The Ministry of Health has enacted Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) regulations geared toward accelerating the handling of COVID-19. During PSBB, the economy across the country was declining in preventive measures. Including Indonesia, the education, tourism, hospitality, culinary and business sectors must force to close due to enacted regulations. The small restaurant business is one of the affected. After the implementation of this PSBB, the government wants to make changes to the routine of society to live with a new or new normal lifestyle. The Covid-19 pandemic has brought countries in the world and Indonesia is no exception entering a new phase of life. The purpose of this study is to find various policy packages by the Government and individual countries to protect their citizens in relation to various laws and regulations to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research uses normative legal research, and the research methodology used is Foucault's theory of power relations, that is, understanding will be built to find a synthesis in this study. The results of research investigations are related to various policy packages issued by various countries and also by the Indonesian Government to protect their citizens to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic including the various effects of its dominance through large-scale social restrictions and new normal life Covid-19. However, it turns out that this provision is not effective in Indonesia because people tend to ignore it. The solution offered is that the community as a civil society must be able to manage issues in the face of inadequate public compliance with various laws and regulations that govern the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, Civil society in Indonesia must be encouraged to change the basis of thought so that it has the same spatial frequency as the Government

This study aims to analyze the new normal policy implementation during Covid-19 to deliverance the economy of Indonesia. New normal is one of the options to become a milestone in Indonesia's economic revival. The government has decided to run a new normal policy to encourage economic recovery. Although, the Covid-19 pandemic has not shown any signs of ending. Previously the handling of Covid-19 in Indonesia by seeking social distancing to large-scale social restrictions. However, this policy seems to make the economy in Indonesia stuck, so the government's step is to implement new normal. The method used in this study is qualitative-descriptive, with secondary data obtained from various sources such as government websites, journals, books, and online media. As a result, this new normal policy is aimed at all business sectors. To support this policy, the government has made working guidelines in new normal situations. If economic activity returns, the most noticeable impact will be reduced unemployment and the availability of various jobs. Therefore, people's purchasing power is expected to recover as before the Covid-19 pandemic emerged. New normal activity amid the Covid-19 pandemic is like two sides of a coin. On the one hand, there is the potential to boost the economy; however, there is a risk of increasing the coronavirus's positive cases. This study found that health protocols can be easily formulated, but implementation may not be comfortable in the field. For this reason, various multidisciplinary studies need to be considered by the government in implementing the new normal policy.

This presentation, reflecting a politics undergraduate thesis, will explore the design process behind the ballots that voters use in democratic elections around the world. Ballots are an inherently political objects, and in many cases, the most direct line of communication a citizen has to the government of their country. As such, the design of the ballot affects the legitimacy of higher level electoral and democratic institutions. This project argues that by co-opting the language of product design, a universal ballot design process would make more efficient ballots across the globe.   Product design starts with a brainstorming stage that explores at the user, the goal of the object, and the context of its use to create an effective design. By applying these observations to the process of designing a ballot, each electoral commission can produce a more effective ballot. Currently there is no standardization for ballot design other than ensuring that electoral commissions tried to make it “friendly.” By examining cases of bad ballot design, it is possible to see what element of the design process was missed or misused to create a process that corrects for these mistakes. This project examines poorly designed ballots in Florida, Scotland, and Colombia to explore the large-scale effects these small design choices make, and how to fix them.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world in various sectors and human activities. Limiting human activity and mobility also has an impact on transportation and traffic. This study aims to calculate the capacity and performance of roads under normal pandemic conditions before PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) in April 2020 and New Normal in July 2002, as well as predict traffic conditions if the Tsunami disaster hits the city during both periods. Tsunami Evacuation roads in Padang City were selected for analysis. The Indonesian Road Capacity Manual 1997 on urban roads is used as a reference for analyzing road performance indicators. The results showed that; road performance during the PSBB period was better than the New Normal period. The effect of volume and side traffic disturbance factors in the New Normal period makes a significant decrease in performance. Through prediction simulations, if a Tsunami occurs in the two study periods, the analyzed roads can relatively serve evacuation movements. However, the capacity needs to be increased for normal conditions.

The community is asked to work at home, study from home and worship at home; even tourist attractions are not allowed to operate, this situation is a challenge for tourism actors. The purpose of this study is to find out how the tourism strategy is during the New Normal period after the COVID-19 pandemic with restrictions on community activities. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data analysis was carried out with qualitative-interpretive. The results of research conducted at the prayer hill religious area show that government policies through the implementation of Government Regulation No. 1 of 2021 concerning Improving Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols in the Prevention and Control of Corona Virus Disease 2019 have been well implemented in terms of four indicators, namely: communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure.

Abstract Introduction The coronavirus outbreak has set off alarms around the world, leading to border closures, trade controls, travel bans and other measures. The Wuhan coronavirus epidemic continues to spread globally to the new European hotspot in Italy. New information about the epidemic and the virus is changing rapidly as the virus spreads and appears in parts of the world. Although official announcements by the Croatian Government and Crisis Staff calmed the public with pictures and data on the disease, it showed something else that heightened public concern and caused two conflicting phenomena among citizens - on the one hand, the majority showed understandable doubt about the information that could have raised the concern for their own health while the rest of the population ignored the facts. The market showed complete unwillingness to cope with this epidemic and a chronic shortage of protective equipment (masks, disinfectants...) emerged. Most of the citizens' queries and concerns were moving in the direction of personal protection, child protection and justification for holding large gatherings. Results By March 8, 2020, twelve COVID-19 patients were recorded in Croatia, of which 5 were patients in Rijeka, 3 in Zagreb and 4 in Varaždin. The first sick person is a Croatian citizen from Zagreb who became infected during his stay in Italy (Milan, Lombardy province). Conclusions In this crisis, several basic principles of crisis communication with the public have been forgotten: The first source of communication often becomes the source against which everyone else is measured.Accuracy is crucial to credibility.Emotion cannot be countered by facts. People must first know that the government cares. The public should regain a sense of control over circumstances beyond control.A lack of public respect in a crisis undermines trust.Honesty is fundamental to maintaining trust. Key messages Accuracy is crucial to credibility. Emotion cannot be countered by facts.

Early studies show that the COVID-19 pandemic causes the rally-around-the-flag effect and increases the level of nationalism among the voters after the outbreak. However, how long does this boost last? Voters may cognitively withdraw their identification to the beloved country if the pandemic is rampant in where they live as well as when the government fails to address it thoroughly. We conducted a pre-registered MTurk experiment (n = 606) on 20 April 2020, in the United States—3 months after the first confirmed case and weeks after the large-scale lockdown. Results show that US subjects who were primed of the COVID-19 in the United States significantly decreased their level of nationalism, especially among Democrats. In contrast, the priming of “COVID-19 in the world” has no effect. The negative impact of COVID-19 on nationalism could be explained by enough time as people could observe and evaluate the government’s performance after the outbreak through the partisan lens.
