Scientific knowledge has throughout of history, been treated as a commodity and increasingly its value has thus during the last 40 years depreciated due to effect of Trickle-down Economics The production and selling of truth, is an on-growing industry where the interested parties, set the agenda by hiring academics and scholars hence turning complex issues into; bite-size, digestible content. Unfortunately, more extensive access to information, does not translate into unbiased knowledge.

Unsolved methodological problems of creating a single digital knowledge space are considered. The methodology of information space intellectualization is presented as one of the priority trends of modern information development. The characteristics of the information infrastructure of the digital economy are defined: intellectual type of scientific knowledge storage, visibility. Actual theoretical problems that require operational solutions in the context of designing a single digital space of scientific knowledge are formulated. Solutions to the problems of selecting objects of information modeling and reflection, dialectics of individual and system objects in the structure of a single digital space of scientific knowledge, industry-specific and differentiated approaches to the design of a single digital space of scientific knowledge are proposed. Organizational models of the unified digital space of scientific knowledge are considered. The idea of a single digital space of scientific knowledge is considered through the prism of the experience of organizing inter-organizational projects in the Russian information market.

ABSTRACTThe National Congress of Archivology is the largest event in the area in Brazil, is in its VIII edition, being held biannually, having its first meeting held in the city of Brasília, in 2004. The publishing industry influences the way in which scientific knowledge is disseminated. In the knowledge 'industry' neither the producer nor the consumer has control over the economics and marketing of knowledge. The researcher gives away research data free to the journals, which retain the copyright. The peer reviewers are also not usually paid. Journal subscription rates of scientific, technical and medical (STM) journals in North America have increased 200% over ten years and this is six times more than the inflation rate during that period.

Abstract. Background: Information on methods of suicide is available online, and access to information on methods of suicide appears to contribute to a small but significant proportion of suicides. There is limited documentation of how methods of suicide are being profiled, as well as what content exists in other languages than English. Aim: We aimed to analyze and compare how methods of suicide are profiled on Danish and English-language websites. Method: We applied a categorization and content analysis of websites describing methods of suicide. Sites were retrieved by applying widely used Danish and English-language search terms. Results: A total of 136 English-language websites and 106 Danish-language websites were included for analysis. Websites were more often categorized as prevention or support sites, academic or policy sites, and against suicide sites than dedicated suicide sites (i.e., pro-suicide sites), or information sites. However, information on methods of suicide was available, and 20.1% and 8.9% of the English and Danish-language sites, respectively, suggested that a particular method of suicide was quick, easy, painless, or certain to result in death. Limitations: Only one author coded and analyzed all websites. A further operationalization of the content analysis checklist is warranted to increase reliability. Conclusion: The websites primarily had a prevention or anti-suicide focus, but information on methods of suicide was available, requiring an increased focus on how to diminish the negative effects of harmful online content.

In national codes of ethics the practice of psychology is presented as rooted in scientific knowledge, professional skills, and experience. However, it is not self-evident that the body of scientific knowledge in psychology provides an adequate basis for current professional practice. Professional training and experience are seen as necessary for the application of psychological knowledge, but they appear insufficient to defend the soundness of one's practices when challenged in judicial proceedings of a kind that may be faced by psychologists in the European Union in the not too distant future. In seeking to define the basis for the professional competence of psychologists, this article recommends taking a position of modesty concerning the scope and effectiveness of psychological interventions. In many circumstances, psychologists can only provide partial advice, narrowing down the range of possible courses of action more by eliminating unpromising ones than by pointing out the most correct or most favorable one. By emphasizing rigorous evaluation, the profession should gain in accountability and, in the long term, in respectability.
