This study aims to determine the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Total Assets (DAR), and Corporate Governance (CG) on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2019 period. Corporate Governance is proxied by the Composition of the Independent Commissioner, and Tax Avoidance is proxied by the Effective Tax Rate (ETR). The population in this study were 179 companies listed on the IDX. The sample selection used purposive sampling technique and the research sample was obtained as many as 60 companies. The data in this study are secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The data analysis used is descriptive analysis followed by the requirements test including normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation test. The statistical method used to analyze the data uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that Return on Assets (ROA) had a significant negative effect on tax avoidance. Meanwhile, Debt to Total Assets (DAR) and Corporate Governance (CG), which are proxied by the composition of the independent board of commissioners, have no effect on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2019 period.

<em>The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of corporate governance </em><em>and return on assets against tax avoidance in manufacturing companies on the BEI in </em><em>2012-20;4. The research data was obtained from the company's annual finance report </em><em>on the Indonesian stock exchange website. The samples are 34 companies </em><em>mwmfacturing sector listed on the Stock Exchange in 2012-2014. Sampling technique </em><em>used is purposive sampling. This study uses linear regression analysis. The results showed that corporate governance has not significant effect on tax avoidance. The results show that corporate governance and return on assets have a significant effect </em><em>on tax avoidance</em>

This study aims to analyze the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership as a stimulus factor for tax avoidance and to see the existence of a political relationship as a moderating variable in the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership on tax avoidance. This research was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2017-2019. In this study, the sample was determined based on the purposive sampling technique with the criteria that the sample company was manufacture listed on the IDX for three consecutive years from 2017-2019, published an annual report in the 2017-2019 period sequentially, did not experience delisting, was not a company the IPO in 2018-2019, did not experience any losses and did not have an ETR value of more than 1. The research sample was obtained from as many as 138 companies with 3 years of observation. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis (Multiple Regression Analysis) and Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA) using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program. The results showed (I) executive characteristics had a significant positive effect on tax avoidance (II) family ownership had a significant negative effect on tax avoidance (III) political connections were not able to strengthen the executive's positive influence on tax avoidance (IV) political connections weakened family ownership on tax avoidance. This study can also show that the sample companies tend to comply with tax rules, they avoid sanctions and fines, and consider the risk of loss that must be faced by the company when proven to do tax avoidance.

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of the risk-based bank rating component as measured by non-performing loans, loan to deposit ratio, good corporate governance, return on assets and capital adequacy ratio on the value of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) Year 2013-2017. The research sample was selected using the nonprobability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique and obtained as many as 6 banking companies, so that the number of observations with a study period of 5 years was 30 observations. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that non-performing loans and loan to deposit ratios have a negative effect on the value of banking companies. Return on assets and capital adequacy ratio have a positive effect on the value of banking companies and good corporate governance does not affect the value of banking companies. This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, capital intensity, and inventory intensity on tax avoidance. This research was conducted at manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2017 with a population of 150 companies. Determination of the sample in this research is by non probabilaty sampling method and by purposive sampling technique, so that the research sample is 63 companies. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis which shows that all independent variables in this study, namely profitability, capital intensity, and inventory intensity have a positive effect on tax avoidance. This study aims to examine the variables of the proportion of independent commissioners, leverage, sales growth and profitability that affect companies to carry out tax avoidance. This research was conducted on all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2014-2017, with a total of 200 samples. Sample selection using probability sampling technique is purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is a multiple linear regression analysis test. The results showed that the proportion of independent commissioners, sales growth and profitability had no effect on tax avoidance while leverage had an effect on tax avoidance. This study aims to determine the effect of taxes, tunneling incentives, debt covenants, and profitability on the company's decision to transfer pricing. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from accessing the web www.idx.co.id. The population of this research was manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2017. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The number of companies sampled in the study was 27 companies so that the total sample of the study was 135 observations. This study used the multiple linear regression analysis technique. The results of this study known there are still many variables outside the research that can explain transfer pricing.The determination coefficient is 0.441 which means that 44.1%. It indicates that the company transfers pricing is influenced by these variables, while the rest is explained by other variables.Based on the  result can be concluded that taxes, debt covenants and profitability has a positive effect on the decision to transfer pricing. While the tunneling incentive does not effect the decision to conduct transfer pricing.Keywords: Tax, Tunneling Incentive, Debt Covenant, Profitability, and Transfer Pricing

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of partially or simultaneously financial leverage and dividend policy on firm value in manufacturing companies on the Indonesian stock exchange. Data collection uses secondary data using purposive sampling technique. The population in this study is the automotive sub-sector manufacturing companies and components listed on the Indonesia stock exchange during the 2014-2016 period of 15 companies, while the samples taken were the number of observations for 3 years (2014-2016) with the number of companies observing 12 obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that all hypotheses have a significant effect based on the t test and F test. This means that both partially and simultaneously financial leverage and dividend policy have a significant effect on firm value in manufacturing companies on the Indonesian stock exchange.

This study aims to determine the effect of fiscal loss compensation, corporate governance, return on assets, leverage, and firm size on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2017. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing using the SPSS. The study using secondary data in the form of financial statements of manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and audited during 2013-2017. Based on the results of regression testing, it is known that the fiscal loss compensation variable has a negative effect, and return on assets has a positive effect on tax avoidance, while corporate governance, leverage, and firm size do not affect tax avoidance.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine whether working capital variables, size, and capital structure affect the return on assets. The population in this study are manufacturing companies in various sub-sectors proposed in the Indonesia stock exchange in 2016-2018. The type of data used in this study is secondary data from the company's annual financial statements as a sample that is used and processed using SPSS 16.00. This research uses the classic assumption test and the data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show how working capital (ratio using current ratio, accounts receivable turnover, and net working capital), size, and capital structure (tested using a debt to equity ratio) are considered to compare asset returns.Keywords: working capital, size, capital structure, return on assets ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah variabel modal kerja, ukuran, dan struktur modal berpengaruh terhadap return on assets. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur di berbagai sub sektor yang diusulkan di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2016-2018. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaan sebagai sampel yang digunakan dan diolah menggunakan SPSS 16.00. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji asumsi klasik dan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bagaimana modal kerja (rasio menggunakan rasio lancar, perputaran piutang, dan modal kerja bersih), ukuran, dan struktur modal (diuji menggunakan rasio utang terhadap ekuitas) dipertimbangkan untuk membandingkan pengembalian aset.Kata kunci: modal kerja, ukuran, struktur modal, return on assets

This research aims to examine the effect of executive competency, the firm size, the independent commissioner and the institutional ownership towards tax avoidance. The number of population in this research is 141 manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2012 to2014. This research uses purposive sampling technique. The multiple linear regression analysis is used to analyze the data. There are 49 companies used as the samples of this study. Based on the conducted data analysis on this research, it concludes that:( 1 ) the executive competence has no effects on tax avoidance ( 2 ) the firm size has no effects on tax avoidance ( 3 ) the independent commissioner has no effects on tax avoidance while ( 4 )the institutional ownership affects tax avoidance.
