Professional burnout of police officers is an integral set of negative experiences which are caused by objective conditions of professional activity. Burnout as a predictor of professional personality deformations is already required attention and monitoring at the first stages of the professional formation of the subject. Therefore, the prevention of professional burnout is an urgent task of moral and psychological training. The purpose of is to analyze and psychologically assess the indicators of professional burnout of police patrol officers during professional adaptation. The research involved 110 police patrol officers who served in the Internal Affairs Agencies from six months to one year. Research methods has been presented by psychodiagnostics tools: I. N. Gurvich's multidimensional scale of neuropsychiatric adaptation, V. A. Vinokur's test «Attitude to work and professional burnout» for specialists in «assisting» professions, as well as methods of mathematical statistics. The research revealed an average level of professional burnout and adaptation problems in 31 % of respondents. The research found that employees with a low level of adaptation experience states of emotional exhaustion and tension in the activity. Signs of health problems and general adaptive capacity were identified at the level of statistical significance. Reliable values indicating a decrease in the general self-esteem of the respondents, the low importance of activity and the lack of focus on professional development in conditions of impaired adaptation were established. The results allow us to develop corrective courses as part of the moral and psychological training of police officers, aimed at the prevention of professional deformations of personality.

The professional activity of the police patrol officers makes high demands on their level of possession of fighting. Training in combat techniques within the framework of the discipline «Physical training» of the main programs of professional training takes place without taking into account the situations of their application. Demonstration of techniques is also strongly abstracted from the situations of practical activities of police officers. The problem of the research is to resolve the contradiction between the need to develop skills of using combat techniques of fighting in situations of operational activity among the officers of the patrol and guard service of the police and the lack of a scientific methodology for situational training of police officers in the use of physical force in the study of professional training programs for police officers. The study was conducted to substantiate the effectiveness and features of using the situational method for training police patrol officers in the use of combat methods of fighting in situations of official activity. As a result of the study, three levels of complexity were developed for the use of combat techniques in situations of operational and service activities of police patrol officers for use in the main training programs for the position of a «Police Officer». According to the results of the final testing, the effectiveness of the use of techniques in typical situations of official activity of the police patrol officers increased by 27.8%, which confirmed the research hypothesis. The special feature of using the situational method is the structuring of situations according to the levels of difficulty of performing of combat techniques. The educational and training process of physical training of the police patrol officers begins in the professional cycle and continues in the variable educational discipline «Actual issues of the activities of the police patrol and guard service units» of the professional-specialized cycle of professional training programs for «Police Officer».

In the article the author substantiates theoretically and proves empirically the influence of personal qualities on the formation of professional deformation of employees of risky professions, particularly investigators and detectives of the National Police of Ukraine. It is ndicated that professionally important qualities of a specialist are developed during a long professional activity, and  at the same time the employee acquires some other qualities that deform the person. Thus, the development of various professional destructions takes place during professional formation. In order to detect the deformation processes of law enforcement officers of different units and determine the ways of their prevention the author conducted an empirical study using a number of psychodiagnostic techniques, such as: "Definition of mental burnout" (O. Rukavishnikov), "Definition of integral forms of communicative aggressiveness" (V. Boyko), "Study of the integral accentuations of a personality" (K. Leonhard, modification of S. Shmyshek), "Personality questionnaire" (G. Eysenk), Questionnaire "Professional burnout" (K. Maslach, S. Jackson, adapted by N. Vodopyanovа). Correlation analysis showed that there was a professional "burnout" in the investigators associated with psychoemotional exhaustion, personal distance, professional motivation, spontaneity of aggression, extraversion-introversion, reduction of personal achievements. Detectives’ professional burnout is associated with depersonalization, extraversion-introversion, inability to switch aggression over activity or inanimate objects, personal distance, ritualization of aggression, auto-aggression and emotional exhaustion. The author expects the prospect of research in developing recommendations on personnel selection for the above-mentioned professions, taking into consideration the personal qualities of applicants for positions and the prevention and use of corrective methods aiming to reduce the level of professional burnout among police officers and other risky professions.

The professional activity of patrol officers is associated with situations of using self-defense techniques and detaining an offender armed with a knife. The danger of single combat with a criminal armed with a knife is obvious and requires the employee to master the techniques of self-defense, as well as to constantly improve them in physical training classes throughout their professional activities. The purpose of the article is to present the results of a study aimed at finding the possibility and features of using the circular training method for training police patrol officers in techniques of protection from knife attacks. Methodology. The study was conducted on the basis of the Tyumen Institute for advanced training of employees of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia in the period from September 2019 to February 2020. The study involved two study groups of students enrolled in the educational program of professional training. For solving problems of methods were used: analysis and generalization of scientific-methodic literature, modeling of the educational process, testing levels and methods, method of expert evaluations, method of mathematical statistics. Conclusion: As a result of using the method of circular training in classes on the topic “Features of the use of physical force and special means in typical situations of operational and official activities of police patrol officers”, the level of formation of skills of protection from knife attacks in the representatives of the experimental group was higher than in the control group by an average of 24 %, which confirmed the hypothesis of the study. The circular training method can be used to train police patrol officers to protect themselves from knife attacks, but under certain conditions. To perform the techniques, universal pain techniques should be used to influence the wrist. When students pass stations of one circle, the levels of difficulty of performing techniques should be used.

The relevance of the study of individual psychological characteristics of employees of criminal investigation departments in transport in the North-Western Federal district of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (hereinafter referred to as the NWFD) in relation to indicators of professional deformation is due to the specific features of their official activities. Despite a significant amount of research on the phenomenon of professional deformity of police officers, there are few thoroughly developed and completed works on the prevention of professional deformities of police officers. The purpose of our research was to study the individual psychological characteristics of employees of criminal investigation departments in connection with the risk of professional deformation. The results of the empirical study were processed by correlation and factor analysis (49 parameters). The results of the initial analysis showed that the overall assessment of job satisfaction among employees of the studied departments is average with a downward trend. The results of the study on «professional burnout» revealed that a number of employees surveyed are close to emotional exhaustion. It is established that empathic abilities, social intelligence, and constructive coping strategies play an important role in the structure of individual psychological characteristics of police officers. Low ability of employees to learn behavior determines non-constructive strategies and models for coping with stressful situations, which leads to deformation of relationships with other people, i.e. to professional deformation. The obtained data can be used as the basis for the program of psychoprophylaxis of professional deformation of criminal investigation units in transport in the northwestern Federal district.

Based on the results of assessments of the dependences of the level of psychoemotional load of a primary care physician (PHC) (district physician) on medical and social problems related to the conditions of his activity, measures have been developed for stress resistance and health saving of a district physician (VTU). The Orenburg region with a population of almost 2 million people was the pilot territory (base) for the study. The region has 12 cities and 35 rural districts, the share of the rural population is 40.1%. Research materials und methods: sociological, direct observation, statistical: 1014 questionnaires of survey of district physicians (93% of the total number of VTU) were subjected to statistical processing. The study included 4 stages. At the first stage, sociological surveys of district physicians working in medical organizations located in urban and rural settlements were carried out (568 and 446 VTU, respectively). At the second stage of the study, the level of psychoemotional burnout was assessed using the modified method of V. V. Boyko (2010) “Diagnostics of the level of emotional burnout”. At the third stage of the study, we calculated the statistically significant correlation of the symptom of professional burnout (SPEV) with factors related to medical and social problems of the professional activity of the local GP. At the fourth stage of the study, a set of measures has been developed and is being implemented to increase emotional stability in the professional activity of the local GP. Relevance. WHO classifies occupational stress as a disease of the twentieth century, which can manifest itself in any profession and can reach the size of a “global epidemic”. The accumulation of negative emotions in the profession of a doctor can lead to psycho-emotional exhaustion and the formation of the syndrome of “emotional burnout”. A necessary quality of a primary care physician is emotional stability. This is the ability to overcome a state of excessive emotional arousal. Of particular importance is the development of professional burnout and the assessment of professional stability for district physicians who make first contact with the patient. Results. Measures have been developed to increase the effectiveness of emotional (professional) stability in the activities of VTU. Conclusion: Emotional stability in the doctor’s work allows you to maintain and further increase the effectiveness of professional activities. The obtained research results were used for the development of the “program for the modernization of health care in the Orenburg region”. They were used in the development of the Software product of the Ministry of health of the Orenburg region.

Physical performance tests are associated with different adverse outcomes in older people. Theobjective of this study was to test the association between handgrip strength and gait speed with incidentdisability in community-dwelling, well-functioning, Mexican older adults (age ≥70 years). Incident disability wasdefined as the onset of any difficulty in basic or instrumental activities of daily living. Of a total of 133participants, 52.6% (n=70) experienced incident disability during one year of follow-up. Significant associationsof handgrip strength (odds ratio [OR] 0.96, 95% confidence interval [95%CI] 0.93-0.99) and gait speed (OR0.27, 95%CI 0.07-0.99) with incident disability were reported. The inclusion of covariates in the models reducedthe statistical significance of the associations without substantially modifying the magnitude of them. Handgripstrength and gait speed are independently associated with incident disability in Mexican older adults.

Populations of Anopheles (Kerteszia) were sampled fortnightly over a one-year period (August 1991 to July 1992) at Ribeira Valley, S. Paulo State, Brazil. Indoor and outdoor collections were made on human bait at evening crepuscular period. The Polovodova technique for age grading was applied to 3,501 females of Anopheles cruzii and to 416 females of An. bellator. That sample represented 34.4% of the total number of mosquitoes collected. The most abundant species found was An. cruzii. However, An. bellator showed an endophagy that was almost three times greater than that of An. cruzii. The overall parous rate was 25.4% and uniparity was practically dominant one. A proportion of 26.9% of An. cruzii and 12.0% of An. bellator were found to be uniparous. Only three outdoor females of the former species (0.1%) showed biparity. Parity of An. cruzii was higher in females caught outdoors than in those caught indoors. Nevertheless, 497 nulliparous females examined (417 cruzii and 80 bellator) had ovaries that had advanced to Christophers and Mer stages III to V. These results imply that these females had already practised hematophagy. Relating these results to those from the parous females, a high statistical significance was found, leading to the conclusion that gonothophic discordance is a common pattern among these anophelines. Further, these results obtained with human bait catches strongly suggest that nearly 38.0% of these host-seeking females had already taken at least one previous blood-meal. So it is possible that enough time could thus be available for the plasmodian development in the vectors.
