This study deals with the factors affecting students’ English speaking ability at Politeknik LP3I Medan. It uses qualitative research design with a single case study to gain an understanding on this study. It is conducted descriptively. This study aims to know the factors affecting students’ English speaking ability at Politeknik LP3I Medan. The subjects were 20 students (males and females) of Politeknik LP3I Medan. The instruments in this study were observation and interview. The theories of Brown (1994: 4) are divided some factors which affect speaking, they are Chronological Age, Grammar, Vocabulary, Fluency, and Comprehension. There are three factors affecting students’ English speaking ability at Politeknik LP3I Medan. They are fluency, vocabulary and English environment and an additional factor that found by researcher as a new insight in this research is English environment. Analysis of data clearly indicates that the students are using English at campus every day.This study deals with the factors affecting students’ English speaking ability at Politeknik LP3I Medan. This study deals with the language  communication strategies in conversation used by extrovert and introvert students at Politeknik LP3i Medan. It uses qualitative research design with a single case study to gain an understanding on this study. It is conducted descriptively. This study aims to find out the types of communication strategies in conversation used by introvert students of Politeknik LP3i Medan. The subjects were 10 persons of introvert and of Politeknik LP3I Medan. The use of instruments in this study were observation ,interview and documentation. The observation were the types of communication strategies in conversation used by extrovert and  introvert students of Politeknik LP3i Medan. The interview was used to in depth the data. The theories of Celce-Murcia was used in this study. The data were analyzed by Spradley (1979) analysis. The result of the study there were three reason of communication strategy were used by students of Politeknik LP3I Medan. They are providing opportunities for practice strategy, proving list of needed vocabulary and remind forgotten words strategy.Keywords: Communication Strategies, the Reason Why the Introvert Students Used Communication Strategies in the Way They Do

Skin is vital organ of human body. It is the largest organ of the integumentary system guards the underlying muscles, bones, ligaments and internal organs, seat of complexion, conscientious for ones personality, which maintains beauty, provides identity in society, envelopes internal vital organs, protect us from exterior invasion. In Ayurveda almost all skin disorder are explained under Kustha Rogadhikara. Ekakustha is a type of Kshudra Kustha. It is Vata Kaphaj disorder. It can be correlated with psoriasis both of these have similar sign and symptomatology. Psoriasis is long lasting autoimmune inflammatory papulosquamous disorder characterized by patches of abnormal skin. These skin patches are typically red, itchy and scaly. Its symptoms often worsen during winter and with certain medication, such as beta blockers etc. Psychological stress can also play a role in manifestation of psoriasis. Both males and females are equally affected by this disease. Approximately 1-2% of World’s total population is affected by psoriasis. Due to its chronic recurrent nature. It is a challenge to treat this disease. In Ayurveda both Shodhan and Shaman Chikitsa are mentioned for Kushtha. In this case study first Deepan-pachan then Virechana as Shodhan Chikitsa and Shaman yoga were given, which showed good result in Ekakushtha.

This study deals with Javanese language shift in Balee Village, North Aceh. It aims to find out the factors of Javanese language shift into Acehnese language in Balee Village, North Aceh, the pattern of Javanese language shift and the reasons of Javanese language shift in Balee Village, North Aceh. The data were obtained from the family of Javanese living in Balee Village, North Aceh. The study employs qualitative research design with a single case study to get the understanding on this study. The subjects of this study were 10 families. The subjects were divided into two groups, namely parents and children. The findings showed that the shift of Javanese into Acehnese Language in Balee village, North Aceh was influenced by bilingualism, migration, economy, society, demography, institution, and attitudes. The Javanese language shift to Acehnese language occurred in the pattern of relationship between parents and children and among children. The shifts of Javanese to the Acehnese are mostly caused by social conflict. Keywords: language shift, Javanese, social conflict

This study deals with the language maintenance of Javanese teenagers of Desa Pamuktaran preserve. It uses qualitative research design with a single case study to gain an understanding on this study. It is conducted descriptively. This study aims to desescribe what language maintenance do the Javanese people of Desa Pamuktaran preserve. The subjects were 15 participants of the third generations that have selected as the source of data in this study. The use of instruments in this study were observation,interview and documentation. The observation were used desescribe what language maintenance do the Javanese people of Desa Pamuktaran preserve. The interview was used in depth data. The theories of Fasold, Fishman and Holmes are used in this study. The data were analyzed Miles and Huberman and Saldana’s technique. The data from questionnaire will be analyzed by using the following steps; (1) data reduction, (2) data display, (3) verification and drawing conclusion. There are four types of language maintenance of Javanese language in Desa Pamuktaran they are low maintenance, medium maintenance, strong maintenance and extreme maintenance.Keywords: Language Maintenance, Javanese, Teenagers, Javanese Language

At present era it is observed that the incidence of normal pregnancy and delivery has been diminished. In childbirth weight is one of the most important factors affecting neonatal mortality and morbidity. Pregnan-cy induced hypertension is a global complication, approximately 10-17% of pregnancies are affected, and IUGR is one among the complications of PIH. In Ayurveda Samhithas, various Garbhavyapat are de-scribed and one among those are Upavishtaka Garbha. Acharya Charaka stated, as if bleeding per vagina or other types of discharges occur in pregnant woman, then the foetus will not grow properly in the uterus, and Acharyas mentioned many Chikitsas for the same. If IUGR is occurred due to PIH then most of the Chikitsas are to reduce PIH and to increase the weight of the baby. Hence can enlighten the treatment pro-cedures in medical practice. Here is a single case study which reduces the PIH and promote the Foetal weight with Ksheerabasti with Gokshura and Yashtimadhu. Here both the drugs are having Vasodilatation property which reduces the hypertension in pregnant lady and increases the foetal blood flow. Ksheera is having Balya property which in turns the foetal growth, which gave significant action in the PIH and IUGR.
