The COVID-19 pandemic has given the world a big blow and has forced the entire world to develop a new thought process. To cope with the stress of lockdown, it was important for people to indulge in educational and health activities to save them from the threats being caused by the news and social media. A Facebook page named Yoga scholars Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) was created where three sessions were held per day for 225 days regularly. This activity resulted in people adopting an integrative approach towards alternative medicine. This also made possible a trial of Ashwagandha for COVID-19 treatment by the Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) ministry.

This chapter provides a case study where a systematic, organized method of storytelling, presented as the Story-based Learning model, is used to design a series of integrated and engaging activities for cybersecurity training (to protect computer systems and networks) that fosters deliberate practice and improves performance. To address the talent shortage in the global cybersecurity workforce, the client developed a blended curriculum designed to provide practical experience to prospective cybersecurity professionals. A key component of this curriculum was the capstone exercises, activities focused on application of the content introduced in the courseware. Essentially, this is a story of using stories, one of humanity's oldest technologies, to solve the problem of training and cultivating expertise in future cybersecurity personnel. Based on solid prior evidence supporting the use of stories to increase engagement and retention, this case study focuses on detailing the thought process used to reach this set of solutions, as captured by the Story-based Learning model.

Purpose: With the conception of one’s professional life, it is essential to understand all the possibilities and opportunities that lie before them. In the case of architecture, there exists a bias towards the private sector where newly graduate students aspire to work in private practices and possibly even envision a practice of their own at a certain point in life. While there is nothing wrong with envisioning a future in the private sector, it is also essential to be aware about the public sector and understand the opportunities it provides to be able to make an informed decision. There is a preconceived notion about the monotonous nature of government jobs and a lack of awareness about students about the opportunities in this sector. Hence, it becomes crucial to understand the numerous opportunities this sector has to offer and thus, explore the potential of architects in government organizations. Methodology: The research for this paper has been done by referring to existing literature and interviews with concerned people. With an understanding of how and why is the government sector an essential  area of research for budding architects and planners. The research was done through interviews and possible case studies was done based on review of existing literature. Main Findings: The government is one sector with tremendous possibilities in the realm of architecture but is often plagued with stereotypes and preconceptions which have emerged over the years. It is imagined to be “lazy”, “uninnovative” and “non-productive” but this sector has evolved over the recent years and is now shaping to be one of the more lucrative sectors for practice. The number of perks, benefits and a clear comparative advantage of a higher salary, added with the direct contribution towards serving the nation, the government sector clearly has an unrealised potential for architectural professionals. Implications: With younger architetcs having preconceived notions about role of architetcs in a government sector limited to unexciting set of designs without creativity, this article may help bring a fresh thought process to choose professional sector wisely.

Receiving the Nobel Prize in 1971 for the invention and development of the holographic method, Dennis Gabor mentioned Mieczysław Wolfke as the person who proposed this method as early as 1920 (which he did not know, independently making the same discovery). This article describes the history of Wolfke's pioneering work and tries to recreate the thought process that led to it - starting with the task of supplementing and verifying the diffraction grating theory proposed by Ernst Abbe, which he carried out as part of his doctorate at the University of Wrocław and habilitation at the University of Zurich and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.. The article is devoted to the problem of researching the creative abilities of junior schoolchildren, the specificity of the formation of which has long been central to the problems of pedagogical science, and today does not lose its relevance. This problem with the emergence of education as a specific form of human interaction, the purpose of which is to transfer the experience of previous generations. Thinking, as one of the mental processes, manifests itself in different forms. Creative thinking is defined as the ability to find solutions and analyze a problem in non-standard circumstances. Creative thinking of junior schoolchildren is an intense thought process that promotes the activation of the cognitive activity of junior schoolchildren, the manifestation of independence, the development of the ability to come to the necessary conclusions by oneself in the process of active creative search. Speaking about the current state of the national primary school, it should be noted that the pivotal place in it is still occupied by the cognitive activity of students at the level of reproductive perception and reproduction of educational material, and not creative activity based on the productive transformation of the learned knowledge and skills. The article proves the thesis that the implementation of socio-pedagogical design, as a means of forming the creative thinking of younger schoolchildren, should be based on the integration of design, research and play activities carried out in a general education school under the guidance of a teacher.

This paper deals with the notion of non-knowledge through performative experience. It touches upon the thought process mechanism, the possibility of being outside language, the norm, and the meaning of such experience. The performance entitled Non-Human is used as illustration, which means that the study constitutes research in practice. It refers to the notion of zoe as the pure, unbounded life force and separates the importance of identity from the being and becoming. It examines the possibility of entering the prereflexive and expressing it, testing its capacity of communication. Is cogito the only way to identify ourselves as human?

Abstract: The fundamental understanding of religion positions its adherents in a closed attitude to dialogue. Descartes opposed the fundamental understanding of a truth, because for him every truth could be doubted. Departing from Descartes' thought, many people use Descartes' method of doubt as a basis for arguments against religious fundamentalism. By using the library method, the author utilizes the relevant literature to process various information that can be used as study material. In relation to Christian Religious Education (PAK), doubt contributes to encouraging students to think critically and to realize a dialogical learning process. Thus, the act of doubting does not need to be feared or avoided, but rather as a very human thought process to find the ultimate truth.

In 1913, an article by Anna Wyczółkowska entitled Theoretical and experimental studies in the mechanism of speech was published in the Psychological Review. It contains the results of her studies on internal speech and thought, which had been carried out by the author seven years earlier, in the psychological laboratory of the University of Chicago. John B. Watson was a participant in the study. Wyczółkowska believed that Watson was inspired by her research. Thanks to his participation, he gradually began to move away from his original interest in animal psychology, towards behaviourism. In his Behaviorist Manifesto published in the same year, Watson took, as one of the arguments for the rightness of his programme, the assumption that the thought process is really motor habits in the larynx, improvements, short cuts, changes, etc. According to Wyczółkowska, it was obviously inspired by her research. Her aforementioned article is still cited in the psychological literature today, and belongs to the canon of the most important early experimental studies in the field of research on thinking and speech processes. This text discusses the relationship between the research conducted by Wyczółkowska and some assumptions of behaviourism. Furthermore it presents the story of Wyczółkowska’s life, her scientific work, social commitment to women’s university education, and activities in the Polish American community.

The allure of a “data-driven” future healthcare system continues to seduce many. Increasingly, work in Science & Technology Studies and related fields started to interrogate the saliency of this promissory rhetoric by raising ethical questions concerning epistemology, bias, surveillance, security, and opacity. Less visible is how ethical arguments are used as part of discursive work by various practitioners engaged in data-driven initiatives in healthcare. This article argues for more explicit attention to such discursive work in shaping the promissory future of data-driven healthcare technologies. Bringing together the hitherto separated themes of promissory futures and an emic approach to ethics as discursive work, we study how actors engaged various data-driven healthcare initiatives discursively conduct such ethics work, implicitly or explicitly assigning tasks and roles for stakeholders. We conceptualize this with the notion of “ethical framing” and identify three widely recurring types: ethics as “balancing act,” the technical “fix,” and ethics as “collective thought process.” We outline the characteristics of these acts of framing and discuss their implications for the envisaged roles and responsibilities of various actors. In the Discussion section, we outline the added value of bringing the distinct bodies of literature on promissory futures and ethical framing together and outline themes for new research.
