Concrete is most widely used in construction material all over the world in view of its compressive strength, Moulding ability, structural ability and economic consideration. Recycling of Demolished concrete aggregate means the process of collection and reusing it in their original form. Use recycled aggregate (RCA) in concrete is helpful for protection of environment and economic point of view. Recycled aggregate are the material for future, as it is used up to 20 % of replacement by natural aggregate available from quarries. This paper gives application of coarse aggregate from recycled demolished concrete when used in M20 mix proportion with different percentage of recycled aggregate replaced with natural one and its result analysed at 7,14, and 28 days of compressive strength.

Hijrah is a term that has been trending in recent years in Indonesia. The term’s popularity is due to the rise of reporting on the hijrah movements carried out by public figures. This trend then impacts the development of the fashion industry to produce the needs of those who do hijrah. The production that is done eventually requires advertising, so some people use it as a goal in doing hijrah. In this context, this study aims to find a shift in the understanding of hijrah, from religious reality to economic reality. To achieve this purpose, this study uses qualitative methods with library research techniques. As part of data analysis, this study uses framing analysis. This study concludes a shift in the meaning of hijrah from a religious base to a change in soacial identity. The change in social identity, in this context, then continues to the alteration of religious narratives as economic commodities. The behavior displayed by some people who do hijrah becomes blurred. The intention to do hijrah does not always initiate from self-improvement efforts by leaving bad behavior towards good behavior but can be preceded by economic goals. Hijrah can be encouraged to meet the advertising needs of products that have been issued by the clothing industry. This affects the vulnerability of religious communities in Indonesia.

Desalination of seawater is an alternative solution in arid zones to provide potable water. In south Morocco, the National Office of Electricity and Water (ONEE) has built many desalination factories. However, the osmosis water (permeate) is unbalanced and has a corrosive character. Therefore, a post-treatment of remineralization is necessary to return to water its calcio-carbonic equilibrium and to protect the distribution pipelines from corrosion degradation. Following the performance on limestone bed remineralization in Daoura plant in comparison with other methods, this article evaluates this technique, by checking the effect of parameters on water quality on the laboratory scale using a calcite bed pilot. We tested E.B.C.T (Empty Bed Contact Time), the upward speed, the bed length, the effect of water debit and the residence time on the treated water quality. Monitoring these parameters on the laboratory scale is indeed essential for optimal remineralization process. With the results of this study as well as economic consideration, it is possible to optimize the choice of the conditions needed for remineralization operation through limestone bed to minimize its costs with sizing and extrapolating to the industrial scale.

Purpose This paper aims to propose a process optimization approach showing how organizations are able to achieve sustainable and efficient process optimization, based on integrated process-risk analysis using several criteria to a better decision-making. Design/methodology/approach Several approaches are used (functional/dysfunctional) to analyze how processes work and how to deal with risks forming multi-criteria decision-making. In addition, a risk factor is integrated into the structured analysis and design techniques (SADT) method forming a novel graphical view SADT-RISK; it identifies process’s failures using the traditional failure modes, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) and economic consideration “failure mode and effect, criticality analysis-cost FMECA-C” making a multi-criterion matrix for better decision-making. Subsequently, some recommendations are proposed to overcome the failure. Findings This paper illustrates a methodology with a case study in a company, which has a leading brand in the market in Algeria. The authors are integrating a varied portfolio of approaches linking with each other to analyze, improve and optimize the processes in terms of reliability and safety to deal with risks; reduce the complexity of the systems; increase the performance; and achieve a safer process. However, the proposed method can be readily used in practice. Originality/value The paper provides a new approach based on integrated management using new elements as an innovative contribution, forming a novel graphical view SADT-RISK; it identifies process’s failures using the traditional FMECA and economic consideration “a new multi-criterion matrix for better decision-making and using the SWOT analysis – Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats – as a balance to decide about the process improvement”. The authors conclude that this methodology is oriented and applicable to different types of companies such as financial, health and industrial as illustrated by this case study.
