Today, Supply Chain Management (SCM) is regarded as an essential strategic factor, which has a great deal of influence on earning competitiveness in global business environment. There are conflicts among all members of the SCM. In order to maximize the total profit of the SCM, negotiation among all members is necessary. For enterprise in the supply chain, the supply chain partnership has become a significant factor affecting firm performance. In this paper, I examine the impact of cooperation between enterprise and its supply chain partners. Specifically, I collect survey data from Chinese manufacturing firms about their relations with partners and use regression analysis to test hypotheses about the associations between firm performance and supply chain partnership. My results support that superior supplier partnership has a positive impact on reducing transaction costs and improving financial and market performance. In additional test, I establish a series of models with interactive terms. The results of additional test indicate that the impact is enhanced if the competition of each sub industry of the manufacturing industry is different. Above all, I put forward the following suggestions. Enterprise managers could establish an evaluation mechanism of suppliers and retailers, which select high-quality cooperative partners and reduce low-quality transaction costs for enterprises. When participating in business operation, shareholders could comprehensively understand the business conditions of various supply partners and choose reliable supply chain partners for investment. Also, the government can guide the realization of resource sharing and information exchange among supply chain enterprises, which is beneficial to create a more competitive supply chain to promote economic development.

Access to the internet and the advanced of technology allow people to experience in playing a game, not limited to their game console or through a PC, but also through their gadget like mobile-phones. Based on our initial study, a text-based game prototype has shown its potentiality as an alternative media to enhance youth literacy. The prototype has been developed in web-based platform that allow users to play this game through their mobile-phone. This paper describes an extend study to explore on how well the performance of text- based game prototype, when it was run online through a mobile device. For this purpose, a testing tool, named “GTmetrix” is used to review the performance of mobile device that run two different text-based game prototype platforms, which are Quest and Ink Platforms. For further comparison, this paper also included additional test scenario to see the performance of these two prototype platforms through a desktop device. These testing was conducted through different mobile network speeds (2G/3G/4G). Two different test approaches, PageSpeed and YSlow, were used to analyze the performance. Based on the results, it can be concluded that both prototype platforms are still compatible to be played through mobile devices, with Ink platform perform slightly better compare to the Quest platform in several test setting.

This study aims to examine the effect of Shari’ah Supervisory Board characteristics on financial soundness of Islamic banks in Indonesia. This research was conducted by quantitavie method and used data of Islamic banks listed in Financial Service Authority of Indonesia (OJK) at 2015-2019. Total sample was 13 islamic banks for each period. This research used RGEC method as main and newest measurement financial soundness of Indonesian banks. This research also used CAMEL method and Z-Score method as a robustness or additional test. Characteristics of Shari’ah Supervisory Board in this research represented by board size, multi-position, board education levels and meeting frequency. The result of this this study conclude that board size only affects financial soundness of Islamic banks from GCG mechanism and Cash Adequacy Ratio aspects. And multi positions of board will affects financial soundness of Islamic banks from Non Performing Financing, Return On Assets and Operational Expense Toward Operational Income aspects. While, board education levels didn’t have any significant impact on financial soundness of Indonesian Islamic banks in every aspects of RGEC method. And the meeting frequency only affects financial soundness of Indonesian Islamic banks from Operational Expense Toward Operational Income aspects. CAMEL method as the first robustness test showed that all of Shariah Supervisory Board characteristics didn’t have any significant impact on financial soundness of Indonesian Islamic banks while, the Z-Score as the second additional test found that only multi position which was give a significant impact on financial soundness of Indonesian Islamic banks.

This study aims to determine the effect of financial distress and regional independence on the probability of corruption in the local governments, Indonesia. This study used panel data of local governments in Indonesia in 2012 and 2013 with a total of 785 local governments. Data were analyzed using logistic regression analysis. The study results found that financial distress had no effect on the probability of corruption, while regional independence had a positive effect on the probability of corruption in the local governments, Indonesia. This means that if the regional independence is high then the probability of corruption in the local government is also high, vice versa. The study findings were also robust in a separated analysis, when additional test was carried out. This study found empirical evidence that the independence of funding sources, independence ratios to meet regional needs, and the amount of regional income could be used to detect corruption in local governments, Indonesia, while the budget solvency ratio, financial performance ratio of budget, financial performance ratio of fund equity and regional financial efficiency could not.

In Malaysia, the contribution test is applied by both the Civil and Shariah courts to determine claims in business interest as matrimonial property. However, it is observed that different from claims on interest in personal property, the courts have to apply additional test other than the contribution test in determining claims of matrimonial property in business interest. This is because the ownership structure in business are different from ownership of personal property and highly dependents on types of the business entities.  Apart from analyzing the approaches adopted in the Malaysian courts in dividing business interest upon divorce or dissolution of marriage, this research also highlights the arising legal issues which may arise in respect of different business entities in which the business interest exists. This study was conducted primarily through a doctrinal study of existing literature such as articles, journals and the decision from the relevant case laws which was decided in both the Civil and Shariah courts. This research found that other than types of business entities, the interest of parties in business is also determined by the quantum of shareholding or contribution in the business.

This study investigates whether trust between a corporation’s board chair and the CEO affects firm performance. After using a unique survey data set of regional trustworthiness from China to measure this trust, we find a positive relationship between trust and the performance of Chinese companies from 2000 to 2016. Additional test results suggest that the relationship is causal. Further results show that the positive trust-performance effect is more evident for firms with greater advisory needs and boards that can deliver high-quality advice. Finally, we find supporting evidence to our conjecture that the Chair–CEO trust increases firm value by improving the board advisory results, including value-adding decisions of R&D and merger and acquisition. This study examines the effect of the mandatory IFRS adoption on audit fees in an emergent context, such as the case of Malaysia. Using a comprehensive dataset of all publicly-traded Malaysians companies, the authors quantify an economy-wide increase in the mean level of audit costs after the IFRS transition. The final sample consists of 204 companies listed on the stock exchange of Malaysia, and publishes their information on audit fees in their annual reports allowed on the site of the Malaysian scholarship (Boursa Malaysia). Empirical results suggest that there has been some increase in audit fees in Malaysia after the mandatory adoption of IFRS in 2012. But this increase is considered more or less significant because Malaysia adopted the IFRS voluntarily in 2006. To discuss this meaning, the authors added an additional test that makes the results more robust.

A mathematical model has been developed for ranking high-level verification scenarios (manual tests) when forming a pool of regression tests. The model takes into account the significance of selection methods based on the analysis of previous runs of regression tests, the opinion of the expert group, the specifics of the changes made in the current release, and also has the ability to use an arbitrary number of additional test selection methods. The model can be used to analyze historical data of regression test runs using neural networks in order to identify the most effective approaches to selecting tests for regression testing. The model can be implemented in a software package that interacts with various testing management systems in order to significantly accelerate the formation of a pool of regression tests with a different approach to selection, which can be used by a test engineer of average qualification and without a deep understanding of the features and architecture of the information system being developed.

This study aims to examine the effect of budget forecast errors on budget deviations moderated by local governments’ overconfidence. The research sample used regency/city governments in Indonesia during the 2017-2019 period. The analysis tool uses Eviews version 10 and SPSS version 22. The results showed that budget forecast errors had a positive and significant effect on budget deviation, but the local government’s overconfidence cannot cause an effect of budget forecast errors on the budget deviation. Additional test results of this study also showed that regency/city governments who were overconfident tend to fail in controlling their budget which could cause a surplus or deficit compared to local governments that were not overconfident. The same conditions apply to budget forecast errors. This means that regency/city governments that are overconfident tend to estimate budgets that are too high for revenue and/or budget estimates that are too low for expenditure compared to local governments that are not overconfident. Consistent with the main test results, this study shows that budget forecast errors have a significant effect on budget deviation and tend to occur in the Central Indonesian region category. Furthermore, overconfident regency/city governments cannot moderate the effect of budget forecast errors on budget deviations. Finally, these findings indicate that there is no difference between the budget forecast errors and the budget deviation in the three categories of western, central, and eastern Indonesia.
