The study aims to examine whether the use of technology has a predictive effect on the employability perceptions of university students studying in the field of sports sciences in terms of variables of gender, department and foreign language knowledge levels. The sample of this study, that aims to examine the predictive effect of the level of technology use of students studying in the field of sports sciences on their perceptions of employability, and to examine these concepts in terms of gender, department, working in the fields of sports sciences and level of foreign language knowledge, consisted of a total of 232 participants, 101 females and 131 males. In the study the “Employability Perception Scale” (EPS) developed by Rothwell et al. (2008) and adapted into Turkish by Karlı (2016), and the Technology Use Scale (TUS) developed by Zincirkıran and Tiftik (2014) were used. According to the results of the analysis, a significant difference was found in the use of technology in terms of foreign language knowledge (p < 0.05). No significant difference was determined in terms of FAI and TSK and other variables. Finally, it was determined that the use of technology had a 22% effect on the perception of employability. As a result, it is possible to state that the employability perceptions and technology use levels of the students studying in the field of sports sciences are high, and the use of technology is a significant predictor of the employability perception.

Internet addiction and depressive symptoms are extremely common problems among teenagers, and the coping strategy has been proved to be closely related to internet addiction and depressive symptoms. Based on three waves of data from a sample of Chinese middle-school students (N = 1545, Mage = 14.88 years old, SD = 1.81; 55.00% females), this study examines the longitudinal relationship between internet addiction and depressive symptoms among adolescents ultilizing the random-intercept cross-lagged panel model. Results revealed a unidirectional predictive effect of depressive symptoms at T2 on internet addiction at T3, but not vice versa, the effect was more significant in the male group. Positive coping strategies had a significant negative predictive effect on the random intercept of internet addiction and depressive symptoms, while negative coping style had a significant positive predictive effect on the random intercept of internet addiction and depressive symptoms. Effective identification and intervention of depressive symptoms may be beneficial to the intervention and prevention for internet addiction, and we should pay attention to the cultivation of middle school students’ positive coping strategies.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the predictive effect of molecular and clinical characteristics for the efficacy of anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1) immunotherapy in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).DesignSystematic review and meta-analysis.SettingTwelve randomised controlled trials (RCTs) with 7442 patients were retrieved from all over the world.MethodsElectronic databases were searched for eligible RCTs. The HRs and 95% CIs for overall survival (OS) and progression‐free survival (PFS) for the whole and subgroup population were extracted for meta-analysis using Review Manager V.5.3 software.Primary and secondary outcome measureOS was the primary outcome and PFS was the secondary outcome.ResultsTwelve RCTs with 7442 patients were included. For the trial population, anti-PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy significantly improved OS (HR=0.78, 95% CI 0.70 to 0.86, p<0.00001) and objective response rate (ORR) (risk ratio=1.37, 95% CI 1.08 to 1.74, p=0.009). Subgroup analysis results showed an improved OS at PD-L1≥1%, ≥5% and ≥50% levels, and a longer PFS at PD-L1≥5% and ≥50% levels. Moreover, OS and PFS benefits were observed in the non-first line treatment, squamous cell carcinoma histology, male, smoking, non-central nervous system (CNS) metastasis, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) wild-type and Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog (KRAS) mutant subgroups.ConclusionsAnti-PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy significantly improved OS and ORR and reduced the rate of Adverse Events (AEs) compared to chemotherapy. PD-L1 expression, line of therapy, histology, sex, smoking history, CNS metastases, EGFR and KRAS mutational status might be potential predictors for the therapeutic effect of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy in specific patients with NSCLC.

This study was carried out to examine how stocks of Nigerian deposit money banks (DMBs) reacted to the covid-19 pandemic from two perspectives: prices and volume traded on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The effect of the pandemic on DMBs stock prices and traded volume was examined from three methodical areas: general effect, predictive effect and response to the covid-19 shock. Panel data of stock prices, volume of stocks traded of all the 15 listed Nigerian DMBs and monthly covid-19 data from February, 2020 to August, 2021 were analyzed with panel least square (PLS)s, panel vector autoregressive (PVAR) and impulse response function (IRF). These analytical methods were used to examine how covid-19 statistics, namely, number of confirmed positive cases, number of deaths due to the pandemic and number of discharged covid-19 patients affected Nigerian DMB’s stock prices and volume of stocks traded for the period under study. Results of the PLS revealed that while covid-19 positively affected stock prices of the banks, it negatively affected the volume of their stocks that were traded on the Stock Exchange. The PVAR results revealed that none of the covid-19 statistics examined exert long run predictive effect on stock price of Nigerian DMBs during the period, but the number of discharged patients and significantly had predictive affect volume of stocks traded. Both stock prices and volume traded responded swiftly to the shock from number of covid-19 confirmed cases and mildly to the fatalities and number of discharged patients. We conclude that, overall, the covid-19 pandemic significantly affected Nigerian DMB’s stock prices and volume traded and recommend that both banks and the NSE develop pandemic management strategies and invest more on technology driven stock trading facilities that will reduce the conventional brick-and-mortar trading during lockdowns.

Poor social integration is associated with poor quality of life among minority groups. The current study hypothesized that trust and sociability may significantly explain the quality of life performance among Sub-Saharan African migrants in Germany. Data from 518 migrants were analyzed. Hierarchical multiple linear regression models were calculated to assess the predictive effect of trust and sociability on aggregate quality of life. Results show that general trust and sociability explained about 21% of the variance in quality of life score (adjusted R2 = .206; p < .001) for the total sample. Socioeconomic and demographic features suggested an added predictive effect of about 8% for total sample (adjusted R2 = .279; p < .001), 10% for male (adjusted R2 = .322; p < .001) and 4% for female (adjusted R2 = .211; p < .001). The results support trust and sociability as essential in connecting to a new environment and enhancing the quality of life.

Purpose: Understand the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on depression in intensive care unit (ICU) nurses, analyze high-risk factors, and propose appropriate measures to maintain physical and mental health. Methods: A total of 78 nurses in ICU of Beijing Ditan Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University (Beijing area, COVID-19 patient designated hospital) were investigated with self-rating depression scale (SDS). The Cronbach'sαcoefficient was 0.874, the content validity was 0.853, and the internal consistency was good. General information for the questionnaire: gender, marriage, education, age, title, length of service, ICU years of service, COVID-19 pandemic training, concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, and current health status. Results: According to the SDS scale score, ICU nurses had a total depression score of 51.36 ± 11.667, and the prevalence rate of depression was 44.9% (35/78). Multi-line regression analysis shows that stress perception, work experience in critical diseases, education and other total scores are risk factors for the occurrence of depression. Conclusion: Work experience in critical illness (β = 9.930, P < 0.001) had a positive predictive effect on the total score of depression, while stress perception (β = −0.884, P < 0.001) and education (β = −6.061, P < 0.001) had a negative predictive effect on the total score of depression, and explained 52.7% variation. These findings point to the need for interventions to address psychological distress and provide the necessary support.

The concerns about the impact of social distancing on mental health have been widely discussed. This study aimed to know the predictive effect of coping humor and Internal Health Locus of Control (Internal HLoC) on social dysfunction and anxiety & depression during the implementation of the COVID-19 social distancing agenda. This study was also intended to assess the effect of humor content on coping humor. A quantitative approach was used as the method ofthe study with 243 online-recruited participants, and PLS-SEM analysis was applied to find out the predictive effect in this study. The results and conclusions showed that anxiety & depression predict social dysfunction (β = 0.584, t-value = 11.93, f2 = 0.563). It was found that coping humor was able to directly increase the Internal HLoC (β = 0.187, t-value = 2.60, f2 = 0.036) and indirectly decrease social dysfunction (β = -0.144, t-value = 2.85) and anxiety & depression (β = -0.070, t-value = 2.42). Humor content unrelated to the issue of COVID-19 directly increase the coping-humor level (β = 0.266, t-value = 4.13,f2= 0.076), and indirectly increase Internal HLoC (β = 0.050, t-value = 2.07), and decrease anxiety & depression level (β = -0.046, t-value = 2.20). On the other hand, Internal HLoC directly decrease levels of social dysfunction (β = -0.233, t-value = 4.126, f2 = 0.089) and anxiety & depression (β = -0.373, t-value= 7.84, f2 = 0.161).
