Jet impingement has been effective in reducing the process time and improvement of product quality in various industrial applications, such as textile and paper drying, electronic cooling, glass quenching and food processing. The current work applied innovative steam injection to liquid food continuous sterilization. The multiple impingement jets of steam and product came together in the impingement tank. The effects were investigated on the Reynolds number, steam temperature and jet-to-target spacing (H/d), sterilization temperature and heat transfer efficiency in water and pineapple juice tests. The Reynolds number was based on the nozzle configuration and liquid flow rate. The study investigated product injection plates formed using two, three or four circular holes (diameter 2 mm), steam injection plates with six, nine or twenty circular holes (diameter 1 mm), steam temperatures of 120, 125 or 130 °C and H/d values of 1, 3, 5 or 7. The different options were tested with water to determine the optimal conditions, and then tested with pineapple juice. The results showed that the optimal conditions from water testing that provided the highest heat transfer efficiency occurred with two jet nozzles, six steam injection plates, a steam temperature of 120 °C and an H/d value of 1.

Abstract This paper mainly introduces the technology of supercritical CO2 pretreatment and high temperature steam preparation of super mild foaming TPU pellets. Mainly discusses the supercritical CO2 pretreatment preparation ultra mild foaming TPU pellets process in high temperature steam condition change of TPU micro foaming granule structure and properties of impact. Experimental results show that the high temperature steam temperature, processing time will influence TPU granules of microporous quantity, structure, resulting in pellets of different physical properties.

The ultra-supercritical (USC) double-reheat technology is an immediate area of research focus in China, since the thermal efficiency of USC double-reheat unit is higher than the USC single-reheat unit. The parameters and capacity of USC double-reheat unit in China have made major breakthroughs, and the thermal efficiency of the units are as high as 47–48%, which is the highest in the world. USC double-reheat boiler is one of the most important devices for USC double-reheat unit, and the design concept and precision have a vital effect on the operation of boiler and power station. The most difficult and important factors in the design of double-reheat boiler are the layout of heating surface and the steam temperature regulation method. Therefore, this work summarizes the arrangement of heating surface and temperature regulation method of existing double-reheat boiler in China. It is hoped that the work will set a benchmark for the development of double-reheat boiler and the future 700 °C power generation unit in the world.

Abstract At present, most units adopt the superheated steam temperature control system with cascade PID control structure. However, because most cascade PID control algorithms have no anti-integral saturation function, the automatic control of boiler superheated steam temperature cannot be put into operation normally. On the existing cascade PID superheated steam temperature regulation system, we judge the deviation value of the main regulator and the output value of the auxiliary regulator, and cancel the integration function at an appropriate time. When the input deviation signal turns over, the regulating system can immediately enter the normal regulating state, so that the cascade PID superheated steam temperature regulating system can timely and accurately regulate the superheated steam temperature. The fuel cost is saved by about 155,600 yuan per year.
