This paper presents a model of recurrent multinomial sequences. Though there exists a quite considerable literature on modeling autocorrelation in numerical data and sequences of categorical outcomes, there is currently no systematic method of modeling patterns of recurrence in categorical sequences. This paper develops a means of discovering recurrent patterns by employing a more restrictive Markov assumption. The resulting model, which I call the recurrent multinomial model, provides a parsimonious representation of recurrent sequences, enabling the investigation of recurrences on longer time scales than existing models. The utility of recurrent multinomial models is demonstrated by applying them to the case of conversational turn-taking in meetings of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). Analyses are effectively able to discover norms around turn-reclaiming, participation, and suppression and to evaluate how these norms vary throughout the course of the meeting.

PurposeThe study aims to summarize the 20 years of literature published in takaful between 2000 and 2019 and propose some key areas as the directions for future research.Design/methodology/approachThe present study utilizes the systematic method of reviewing the literature. The SCOPUS database has been accessed, and 96 articles have been accounted for the analysis. The articles are grouped in their exclusive themes, such as consumer behavior, financial and nonfinancial performance, takaful models, human resources and governance.FindingsTakaful research has widely covered marketing, finance, human resource, governance and stresses on its legal issues. Both qualitative and quantitative methodologies have been employed. The research gaps have been classified based on the respective areas. Large share of current body of takaful literature consists of the studies related to the application of behavioural theories to examine the behavioural intention to take up takaful services.Originality/valueThe study enriches the literature of takaful by reviewing articles according to their respective themes, thereby contributing to the significant findings missing from existing literature surveys.

Although organizations recognize the potential of “big data,” implementation of data analytics processes can consume a considerable amount of resources. The authors propose that when organizations are considering this costly and often risky investment, they need a systematic method to evaluate the costs of data collection associated with the implementation of a new data and analytics (D & A) strategy or an expansion of an existing effort. Therefore, in this article, a new dimension of big data is proposed which is incorporated into a theoretically justified and systematic method for quantifying the costs and benefits of the data collection process. By estimating the worth of data, organizations can more efficiently focus on streamlining the collection of the most beneficial data and jettisoning less valuable data collection efforts.

The sampling technique systematic method of proportionate stratified random sampling. Data analysis techniques multiple linear regression analysis  This research resulted in the conclusion that the motivation and leadership together a significant effect on the performance of employees at Pusakajaya district office Subang. These results can be seen from the F count of 30,650 with a significance level of 0.000, which is smaller than α (0.000 0.050). The influence of work motivation and leadership to employees performance of 50.5% while the remaining 49.5% is influenced by other variables outside of this study. Motivation, and leadership is partially significant effect on the performance of employees at Pusakajaya district office Subang. These results can be seen from the t work motivation of 6.272 with a significance level of 0.006 which is smaller than α (0.000 0.050) and the t variable leadership of 5.906 with a significance level of 0.000, which is smaller than α (0.000 0.050).

In the first half of the 12th century, several military works were developed throughout the territories under Almoravid rule, above all after 1126, both in the main towns and the rural areas of the Empire. Within this context, the aim of this paper is to present the results achieved in the framework of the PREFORTI R&D Project (BIA2015-69938-R) concerning the particular case of these military constructions built in the region of Southeast Al-Andalus (Granada and Almeria, Spain). To achieve this aim, we have studied their remains during field work, as well as documentation contained in archives, written sources and historiography, focusing on the risks that affect their conservation. The analysis of six cases of study has been included, where a sample of the systematic method based on preventive conservation measures has been detailed in two particular cases: the walls of the Alcazaba Qadīma (Granada) and the walls of La Hoya and Cerro de San Cristóbal (Almeria). The proposed method has been validated by the public bodies responsible for the protection of this heritage. Its importance lies in the guarantee to slow down the deterioration of this heritage, which facilitates the implementation of effective and economic strategies for its conservation.

The purpose of this paper is to start from an educational reconstruction paradigm to support teachers to always innovate in creating innovative teaching methods, especially in learning Arabic, especially in learning that uses technology, given that education is already in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, where every Human are required to be technology literate. This study uses experimental research Borg & Gall, the focus is to determine the level of influence of treatment on behavior that arises as a result of the treatment and or as a systematic method to build relationships that contain causal-effect relationships. Based on the results of this study it was found that; First, the combination of the Quiz Team-type Active Learning method with Kahoot is the right ingredient to make it easier for students to learn Arabic by training the four maharah or language skills, namely: listening (istima'), reading (qirā'ah), speaking (kalām). , and write (kitābah) at the same time; Second, the results of this study are in the form of design designs, and the role of educators in implementing the collaboration of the quiz team and Kahoot methods in learning Arabic.
