The relevance of the stated topic is associated with the incomplete study of the work of the Khakass writer karkei Nerbyshev. The article was prepared on the basis of the analysis of the materials of the writer's creative heritage stored in KhRILLH Manuscript Fund. Currently, the Institute's Manuscript Fund contains manuscripts of poems, author's interlinear translations into Russian of stories, essays and the first book of the novel "At the Blue Cliffs', letters, notes from colleagues, writers from other regions, readers, fellow villagers, residents of Khakassia, schoolchildren, friends, relatives. The unpublished works of K. Nerbyshev require special attention: the play "Oballyk Karbai khyzy" and the second part of the novel "At the Blue Cliffs". The article substantiates the idea that the publication of these materials is necessary for subsequent literary studies of works and the popularization of the work of the writer karkei Nerbyshev.

Most of the scientific outputs produced by researchers are inaccessible since they are not published in scientific journals: they remain in the researchers' drawers, forming what we call the Dark Science. This is a long-standing issue in research, creating a misleading view of the scientific facts. Contrary to the current literature overfed with positive findings, the Dark Science is nurtured with null findings, replications, flawed experimental designs and other research outputs. Publishers, researchers, institutions and funders all play an important role in the accumulation of those unpublished works, but it is only once we understand the reasons and the benefits of publishing all the scientific findings that we can collectively act to solve the Dark Science problem. In this article, we discuss the causes and consequences of the Dark Science expansion, arguing that science and scientists would benefit from getting all their findings to the light of publication.

This chapter presents three unpublished works by Karoline von Günderrode. In them, Günderrode discusses and assesses the moral philosophy of Johann Gottlieb Fichte and Friedrich Schelling’s philosophy of nature, while also developing her own ethical account of the human relation to the earth in the essay “Idea of the Earth.” Widely regarded as her most important and radical contribution, “Idea of the Earth” distinguishes Günderrode among her contemporaries and places her in proximity to current environmental thought.

The boundaries of literary genres have long been contested. Stylometric investigations of genres — for example, to identify genre through distant reading — is by no means a new area for research. Computational methods are especially useful for large corpora that have not previously been the subject of many enquiries. This might mean the work of a non-canonical author or work that has not been published. Both are true of the primary text used in this paper: a notebook of anecdotes kept by Frances Eleanor Trollope between January 1879 and March 1890. These anecdotes were written in a prose style but were only intended for the consumption of family. While these methods have been used to analyze unpublished works the aim of this research is often to attribute authorship. This paper uses stylometry to compare Trollopewith her published works of both fiction and non-fiction.

Jerónimo de Cáncer y Velasco, a comedian from the first half of the seventeenth century, is one those witty geniuses that in monographs, anthologies or short theatrical treatises shine for their abilities, though on the contrary he has had little fortune in modern publications. For this reason, he has only reached the public partially or has been insufficiently published. The present article tries, precisely for this reason, to bring to light his work in theatre interlude performances by taking a critical look at his most unexplored or unpublished works, starting with the publication of his first anthology of theatrical pieces.

The figure of the cultural anthropologist Furio Jesi has experienced a major rediscovery in recent years thanks to the commendable republication of his books and the publication of numerous unpublished works. In this rediscovery, however, a non-secondary aspect of this multifaceted author still remains in shadow, namely his philosophical and hermeneutic interest in the idea of translation. There are many traces of Jesi’s interest in the theory of translation. A volume entitled Translation and Duplicity of Languages was not completed, but there are some chapters from this project (already published in magazines) and materials still awaiting publication. After the study of Walter Benjamin’s Essays on Language, translation represents for Jesi a fundamental ‘linguistic’ junction of the relationship between the sacred and the profane, between myth and mythologem, between the origin and history of language. The aim of this essay will be to reconstruct and clarify Jesi’s idea of ‘translatability’, trying to trace a common thread among the theoretical essays in which Jesi determines translation as a further gnoseological background of his ‘mythological machine’ on the one hand, and the excursus of history of the language and his critical essays on literature on the other.

The quantity and quality of research output available on the subject of domestic tourism in Kenya is yet to be sufficiently documented. This review evaluates trends in the studies carried out on this subject and establishes perspectives revealed in these studies' findings. Methodologically, this is a conceptual review of integrative nature in which the reviewer summarized the findings of other studies conducted on domestic tourism in different parts of Kenya. Both published and unpublished works addressing domestic tourism in Kenya, and authored in the English language from January 1990 to August 2020 have been considered in the review. The reviewer used keywords to search relevant databases, arriving at thirty two pieces of work that were reviewed. The analysis focuses on themes covered by previous studies, methodologies used, and perspectives revealed in key findings. The review established a gap in existing literature in terms of quantity, quality, and scope, as discussed in the document. Recommendations are highlighted on ways to improve future research on domestic tourism in Kenya. This review will inform future approaches to research on domestic tourism in Kenya, for better policies and practice.
