Migration is associated with important global issues, including development, poverty, and human rights. Migrants are frequently the most dynamic members of society; migration has historically aided economic development, the rise of nations, and the enrichment of cultures. It also presents significant challenges. The article is based on Halliday’s systematic functional grammar in terms of transitivity and modality. The aim of this article is to investigate the transitivity and modalities of migration as it appears in a number of British tabloids. The focus is on aspects of racism in the media and how to deal with the migration phenomenon. It is important to see how the media plays a role in the reproduction of racism. This article shows attitudes to migration as they have appeared in British periodicals over the last few years. It’s obvious that the role of the media in the reproduction of racism is inextricably linked to the general characteristics of racism and white domination in society, particularly the structural and ideological structuring of that kind of group power. This highlights the press's function as a business, social, and cultural institution. The press has to be examined in connection with the institutions of the economy and the political as well ‎.

The paper refers to a museum of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU, Yakutsk) as a socio-cultural institution. The restoration, preservation and development of the NEFU mineralogical museum requires a conceptual rethinking of its role, expansion of its functional capabilities, awareness and reassessment of its social role for the university, city and region. From the viewpoint of the museum pedagogy, the museum forms not only an educational, but also an educational and cultural environment for the formation of a harmoniously developed personality. The Accademia dell’Arcadia (founded 1690) deserves to play a leading role in any account of Vittoria Colonna’s posthumous influence. The author of the first ‘critical’ edition of Colonna’s verse, Ercole Visconti, was an Arcadian, as was Giovan Maria Crescimbeni, who presented Colonna’s work in his Istoria della volgar poesia as an ‘inexhaustible mine of the finest gold’. The many female poets of the Academy also recognised and paid tribute to Colonna’s inspiration. This chapter investigates Colonna’s role as literary model within the Academy, covering all the key phases, from the early eighteenth to the nineteenth century, and examining the ways in which gender inflected the practices and stylistic ideals of this powerful cultural institution.

The article analyzes the role of historical and archaeological museums as public institutions in the formation and promotion of historical and cultural memory in modern conditions of constant change: from the functions of museums through technology to public expectations and needs of the audience. The historical and archaeological museum is considered a socio-cultural institution that fulfills the mission of preserving, broadcasting, and interpreting historical and cultural memory. Based on the properties of historical and cultural memory defined by the author, the functions of museums are established, which ensure its preservation, transition, and interpretation. The article analyzes the dependence of the functions of historical and archaeological museums on changes in the field of communications, technological integration, and the post-epidemic crisis. Given that education and culture are the greatest values of mankind, the author considers one of the main tasks of historical and archaeological museums in the education and cultural de-velopment of society based on historical and cultural heritage. And hence the concept of modern historical and archaeological museums is considered in the direction of scientific and socio-cultural centers.

Croatian National Theatre in Mostar is a relatively new cultural institution when compared to other theatrical institutions. Turbulent incidents of newer Bosnian and Herzegovinian history, as well as historical, political and social changes, left their marks on all levels of the city of Mostar. Therefore, the repertoire of this Theatre, since it has been founded in 1994 (and was primarily named as „War Scene“), needs to be critically analyzed not only in relation to the reality of political and national occurrences of that period but also in comparison with theatrological specificities after the World War II. This paper questions the Theatre’s repertoire under those terms from 1993 to 2005.
