A vehicle motion state prediction algorithm integrating point cloud timing multiview features and multitarget interaction information is proposed in this work to effectively predict the motion states of traffic participants around intelligent vehicles in complex scenes. The algorithm analyzes the characteristics of object motion that are affected by the surrounding environment and the interaction of nearby objects and is based on the complex traffic environment perception dual multiline light detection and ranging (LiDAR) technology. The time sequence aerial view map and time sequence front view depth map are obtained using real-time point cloud information perceived by the LiDAR. Time sequence high-level abstract combination features in the multiview scene are then extracted by an improved VGG19 network model and are fused with the potential spatiotemporal interaction of the multitarget operation state data extraction features detected by the laser radar by using a one-dimensional convolution neural network. A temporal feature vector is constructed as the input data of the bidirectional long-term and short-term memory (BiLSTM) network, and the desired input-output mapping relationship is trained to predict the motion state of traffic participants. According to the test results, the proposed BiLSTM model based on point cloud multiview and vehicle interaction information is better than other methods in predicting the state of target vehicles. The results can provide support for the research to evaluate the risk of intelligent vehicle operation environment.

The gas path system is an important part of an aero-engine, whose health states can affect the security of the airplane. During the process of aircraft operation, the gas path system will have different working conditions over time, owing to the change of control parameters. However, the different working conditions which change the symmetry of the system will affect parameters of the health state prediction model for the gas path system. The symmetry of the system will also change. Therefore, it is important to consider the influence of variable working conditions when predicting the health states of gas path system. The accuracy of the health state prediction results of the gas path system will be low if the same evaluation standard is used for different working conditions. In addition, the monitoring data of the gas path system’s health state feature quantity is huge while the fault data which can reflect the health states of the gas path system are poor. Thus, it is difficult to establish a health state prediction model only by using the monitoring data of the gas path system. In order to avoid problems, this paper proposes a health state prediction model considering multiple working conditions based on time domain analysis and a belief rule base. First, working condition is divided by using time domain characteristics. Then, a belief rule base (BRB) theory-based health state prediction model is built, which can fuse expert knowledge and fault monitoring data to improve modeling accuracy. The reference value of the feature is given by the fuzzy C-means algorithm in a model. To decrease the uncertainty of expert knowledge, the covariance matrix adaptive evolution strategy (CMA-ES) is used as the optimization algorithm. Finally, a NASA public dataset without labels is used to verify the proposed health state model. The results show that the proposed health prediction model of a gas path system can accurately realize health state prediction under multiple working conditions.

Real-time and reliable short-term traffic state prediction is one of the most critical technologies in intelligent transportation systems (ITS). However, the traffic state is generally perceived by single sensor in existing studies, which is difficult to satisfy the requirement of real-time prediction in complex traffic networks. In this paper, a short-term traffic prediction model based on complex neural network is proposed under the environment of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication systems. Firstly, a traffic perception system of multi-source sensors based on V2X communication is proposed and designed. A mobile edge computing (MEC)-assisted architecture is then introduced in a V2X network to facilitate perceptual and computational abilities of the system. Moreover, the graph convolutional network (GCN), the gated recurrent unit (GRU), and the soft-attention mechanism are combined to extract spatiotemporal features of traffic state and integrate them for future prediction. Finally, an intelligent roadside test platform is demonstrated for perception and computation of real-time traffic state. The comparison experiments show that the proposed method can significantly improve the prediction accuracy by comparing with the existing neural network models, which consider one of the spatiotemporal features. In particular, for comparison results of the traffic state prediction and the error value of root mean squared error (RMSE) is reduced by 39.53%, which is the greatest reduction in error occurrences by comparing with the GCN and GRU models in 5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes respectively.

Recently, predicting multivariate time-series (MTS) has attracted much attention to obtain richer semantics with similar or better performances. In this paper, we propose a tri-partition alphabet-based state (tri-state) prediction method for symbolic MTSs. First, for each variable, the set of all symbols, i.e., alphabets, is divided into strong, medium, and weak using two user-specified thresholds. With the tri-partitioned alphabet, the tri-state takes the form of a matrix. One order contains the whole variables. The other is a feature vector that includes the most likely occurring strong, medium, and weak symbols. Second, a tri-partition strategy based on the deviation degree is proposed. We introduce the piecewise and symbolic aggregate approximation techniques to polymerize and discretize the original MTS. This way, the symbol is stronger and has a bigger deviation. Moreover, most popular numerical or symbolic similarity or distance metrics can be combined. Third, we propose an along–across similarity model to obtain the k-nearest matrix neighbors. This model considers the associations among the time stamps and variables simultaneously. Fourth, we design two post-filling strategies to obtain a completed tri-state. The experimental results from the four-domain datasets show that (1) the tri-state has greater recall but lower precision; (2) the two post-filling strategies can slightly improve the recall; and (3) the along–across similarity model composed by the Triangle and Jaccard metrics are first recommended for new datasets.
