During coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the genetic mutations of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) occurred frequently. Some mutations in the spike protein are considered to promote transmissibility of the virus, while the mutation patterns in other proteins are less studied and may also be important in understanding the characteristics of SARS-CoV-2. We used the sequencing data of SARS-CoV-2 strains in California to investigate the time-varying patterns of the evolutionary genetic distance. The accumulative genetic distances were quantified across different time periods and in different viral proteins. The increasing trends of genetic distance were observed in spike protein (S protein), the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) region and nonstructural protein 3 (nsp3) of open reading frame 1 (ORF1), and nucleocapsid protein (N protein). The genetic distances in ORF3a, ORF8, and nsp2 of ORF1 started to diverge from their original variants after September 2020. By contrast, mutations in other proteins appeared transiently, and no evident increasing trend was observed in the genetic distance to the original variants. This study presents distinct patterns of the SARS-CoV-2 mutations across multiple proteins from the aspect of genetic distance. Future investigation shall be conducted to study the effects of accumulative mutations on epidemics characteristics.

Klebsiella pneumoniae is an increasingly important hospital pathogen. Classical K. pneumoniae (cKp) and hypervirulent K. pneumoniae (hvKp) are two distinct evolutionary genetic lines. The recently ongoing evolution of K. pneumoniae resulted in the generation of hybrid hvKP-MDR strains. K. pneumoniae distinct isolates (n = 70) belonged to 20 sequence types with the prevalence of ST395 (27.1%), ST23 (18.6%), ST147 (15.7%), and ST86 (7.1%), and 17 capsular types with the predominance of K2 (31.4%), K57 (18.6%), K64 (10.0%), K1 (5.7%) were isolated from patients of the Moscow neurosurgery ICU in 2014–2019. The rate of multi-drug resistant (MDR) and carbapenem-resistant phenotypes were 84.3% and 45.7%, respectively. Whole-genome sequencing of five selected strains belonging to cKp (ST395K47 and ST147K64), hvKp (ST86K2), and hvKp-MDR (ST23K1 and ST23K57) revealed blaSHV, blaTEM, blaCTX, blaOXA-48, and blaNDM beta-lactamase genes; acr, oqx, kpn, kde, and kex efflux genes; and K. pneumoniae virulence genes. Selective pressure of 100 mg/L ampicillin or 10 mg/L ceftriaxone induced changes of expression levels for named genes in the strains belonging to cKp, hvKp, and hybrid hvKp-MDR. Obtained results seem to be important for epidemiologists and clinicians for enhancing knowledge about hospital pathogens.

With the development of neural network technology and the rapid growth of China’s tourism economic income at this stage, the research on the comprehensive evaluation of tourism resources has gradually emerged. Based on this, this paper studies the neural network comprehensive evaluation model based on multispecies evolutionary genetic algorithm and designs the neural network analysis system of influencing factors of tourism resources based on multispecies evolutionary genetic algorithm. The collection and acquisition of data information are realized from the aspects of resource income status, tourism development investment, and sustainability evaluation in the tourism area. The multispecies evolutionary genetic algorithm is used for comprehensive analysis and evaluation. The algorithm can realize the complex analysis and comprehensive evaluation of the core influencing factors of neural network. Accurate analysis and evaluation were carried out according to the different characteristics of tourism resources and the current situation of tourism income. The results show that the neural network comprehensive evaluation model based on multispecies evolutionary genetic algorithm has the advantages of high practicability, good sorting effect of variable ratio, and good data integration. It can effectively analyze and compare the comprehensive evaluation factors affecting tourism resources in different ratios.

In order to explore the feasibility of applying neural network model to landscape planning, based on the multispecies evolutionary genetic algorithm, a neural network model is proposed in this paper for the system design of diverse plant landscape planning. From the perspective of plant species diversity, this paper discusses landscape planning based on a neural network model. This landscape plan involves more than 180 plant species, mainly shrubs, fungi, and so on. The application of multispecies evolutionary genetic algorithm to landscape planning and design and the application of gene level coding and multispecies parallel evolution strategy to the evolutionary design of neural network have guiding significance for plant landscape planning and design. Compared with the traditional neural network modeling method and genetic algorithm, the proposed method has the advantages of wide network structure search space and simple algorithm calculation and design, independent of specific application background, and has strong application and promotion value. This method makes the model performance evaluation index more comprehensive and accurate and the model solution more reasonable. At the same time, combined with the specific status and corresponding changes of various plants in each season, this paper designs a targeted plan to rationally plan the specific spatial layout of the plant landscape and the combination of different types of plant landscapes, so as to effectively improve the quality of the landscape.

A review of the species criteria of the four most popular species concepts (typological, genetic, bio-logical, and evolutionary-phylogenetic) shows that they are essentially the same. In each of them, the fact of fixing alternative alleles in diverging populations is a key circumstance in one form or another. Such groups of populations should be considered as a kind of evolutionary genetic dis-creteness supported by a protected gene pool. Therefore, a biological species should be understood as a set of populations, individuals of which have the fixation of common unique alleles for a num-ber of structural genes. Differences between the concepts are secondary and are due to the emphasis on different sides of the same phenomenon or the use of different methods for determining the ge-netic structure. It is indicated that there are subjective difficulties in the application of the genetic concept (the reluctance of traditional taxonomists to lose their monopoly) and objective problems caused by the unequal period of divergence of taxa of the species rank and different ways of form-ing genetically discrete entities.
