Digital image watermarking is an active research field since it provides protection, security, and authenticity of data. This paper presents development and implementation of a blind and robust watermarking application for ID images under a print-cam system. In the present case, the images are watermarked and printed on ID cards and then detected freehandedly with a smartphone camera. In order to design an efficient and robust image watermarking application, the attacks produced in print-cam processes, such as geometric distortions, must be resolved. Accordingly, the proposed watermarking approach is applied in the Fourier domain. Then, a frame-based projective rectification is integrated to deal with geometric distortions by using detection of Hough lines. Moreover, better robustness against print-cam watermarking attacks was achieved compared with the existing methods, and an Android application was designed and implemented based on the proposed scheme.

The use of digital images has become very common because of the rapid increase of the internet over time. Moving digital images over the internet is easy, but keeping ownership is complex, and serious issues have emerged. Forgery, fraud, and pirating of this content are rising. Different techniques used to protect images, like watermarking and steganography, but these methods are not enough toprotect. So, providing new techniques is essential for protecting image ownership. We have proposed a fusion method of steganography and watermarking in this work. First, the secret message is encoded within the original image using the LSB technique to obtain the stego image. Secondly, the watermarking process is applied on the stego image using text watermarking or image watermarking to provide stego-watermarked-image. The proposed fusion watermarking and steganography method is very useful for protecting image ownership over insecure communication channels. An attacker cannot get the desired watermarked image from the stego-watermarked-image without knowing the secret message hiding inside it using the LSB technique. The proposed method is efficient, simple and secure; it provides significant protection for image ownership.

One of the important issues in telemedicine field refers to an advanced secure communication. Digital image watermarking is an ideal solution since it protects the electronic patient information’s from unauthorized access. This paper presents a novel blind fragile-based image watermarking scheme in spatial domain that merges Speed Up Robust Features (SURF) descriptor with the well-known Weber Descriptors (WDs) and Arnold algorithm. It provides a good way for enhancing the image quality and time complexity for medical data integrity. Firstly, the watermark image is shuffled using Arnold chaotic map. Secondly, the SURF technique is practiced to Region of Interest (ROI) of the medical image and then the blocks around the SURF points are selected to insert the watermark. Finally, the watermark is encrusted and extracted using WDs. Experimental results show good image fidelity with the shortest execution time to ensure medical images integrity.

Watermarking is the process of embedding specific data to prove ownership copyright authentication. It is needed whenever media-files are used without proper permission is granted. The current watermarking challenge comes from the ownership proof especially as slight tampering occurs on the multimedia-file which injure the watermarking causing difficulty in its copyright proof. This paper proposes utilizing counting-based secret sharing strategy to allow validation of ownership RGB watermarking even if some of the image-file is interfered. We validate image watermarking partially as lightweight semi-complete verification, which is not possible in the normal random-stream watermarking schemes. Although the work is still in its early stage, it is promising research showing real attractive contribution opportunities. The work is tested and compared to other strategies in aspects of robustness, capacity, and security, providing attractive remarks worth noting. The study evaluation results showed interesting contribution believed to be pioneering.

In distributed m-health communication, it is a major challenge to develop an efficient blind watermarking method to protect the confidential medical data of patients. This paper proposes an efficient blind watermarking for medical images, which boasts a very high embedding capacity, a good robustness, and a strong imperceptibility. Three techniques, namely, discrete cosine transform (DCT), Weber’s descriptors (WDs), and Arnold chaotic map, were integrated to our method. Specifically, the Arnold chaotic map was used to scramble the watermark image. Then, the medical image was partitioned into non-over lapping blocks, and each block was subjected to DCT. After that, the scrambled watermark image data were embedded in the middle-band DCT coefficients of each block, such that two bits were embedded in each block. Simulation results show that the proposed watermarking method provides better imperceptibility, robustness, and computational complexity results with higher embedding capacity than the contrastive method.
