The article substantiates the concept of socio-pedagogical activities of a biology teacher and the basics of health in the mutual unity of its components. Peculiarities of social and pedagogical activity in accordance with its purpose in the system of modern natural knowledge are determined. Emphasis is placed on the relationship between theoretical calculations and practical implementation of methods and areas of social pedagogy, which is reflected in the essential features of socio-pedagogical activities as the main means of implementing social education. The system of theoretical bases of modernization of training of the future teacher of biology and bases of health is considered by authors as formation of personal properties of students of pedagogical ZVO. In the process of socio-pedagogical activities of the teacher is socio-cultural education of the younger generation, which provides targeted impact on each individual and team in order to master the heritage of universal and national culture, implementation of social values ​​and development of positive qualities. Training in the implementation of socio-pedagogical activities in educational institutions helps future professionals to understand their belonging to a community that has its own traditions and cultural characteristics, provides socialization and personal fulfillment. The study is based on the socio-cultural paradigm of education, as the main in determining the socio-pedagogical professional trajectory of biology teachers and the basics of health

Reading is not an inborn human capability, and yet, English-speaking adults read with impressive speed. This study considered how predictions of upcoming words impact on this skilled behaviour. We used a powerful computer model from natural language engineering (GPT-2) to derive predictions of upcoming words in text passages. These predictions were highly accurate, and showed a tight relationship to fine-grained aspects of eye-movement behaviour when adults read those same passages, including whether to skip the next word and how long to spend on it. Strong predictions that did not materialise resulted in a prediction error cost on fixation durations. Our findings suggest that predictions for upcoming words can be made based on relatively superficial statistical information in reading, and that these predictions guide how our eyes interrogate text. This study is the first to demonstrate a relationship between the internal state of a modern natural language engineering model and eye-movement behaviour in reading, opening substantial new opportunities for language research and application.

"A synthesis of research results of modern natural sciences and fundamental statements of the Christian faith is attempted. The creation of the universe is addressed. Four important events in the history of the Earth as well as the diversity of living beings are shortly discussed. There are good reasons to believe that the universe was created by a transcendent superior being, which we call God, and that this superior being intervened in evolution and Earth history to promote the development of intelligent life. Furthermore, it can be concluded that intelligent life is very rare in the universe. This is the explanation for the “Fermi paradox”. Intelligent life on planet Earth has cosmic significance. The overabundance of this universe inspires the hope for participating in the fulfilled eternity of the Creator in transcendence. Prehistoric humans had long had hope for life after biological death. While scientific speculation about the end of the universe prophesies scenarios of destruction, the Christian faith says that humanity is destined to be united with Jesus Christ. Furthermore, all evolution will be completed with the Creator in transcendence. Then the whole of creation will “obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God”. From the first primitive living cell, an abundance of the most diverse living beings has evolved. Comparably, humanity has differentiated into a plethora of different cultures. This entire abundance will find its unification and fulfilment in transcendence with the Creator of the universe, without its diversity being erased."

Abstract Anselm Kiefer’s monumental Secret of the Ferns (2007) redirects the artist’s apocalyptic sensibility, honed in response to the Holocaust, to the slow violence of extinction. The installation adopts a foundational practice of early modern natural history: the herbarium’s preservation and presentation of dried, pressed plant specimens. It also mobilizes the symbolic associations of ferns, which Kiefer calls “the first plants” but which are reimagined in the gallery space as the last plants in a postapocalyptic future. The framed specimens hang in a massive hall, with two abandoned concrete bunkers spewing out coal in the center—an allusion to ferns as the source of fossil fuels. Coal appears again in the enigmatic charcoal inscriptions on the frames that allude to ferns’ rich associations with rituals of magic and transformation. The overall mood is of a temporality at the end of time, a proleptic elegy that anticipates the extinction of even the most common and resilient plants, and the human cultures associated with them. Transmuted from mnemonic device to vehicle of commemoration, Kiefer’s apocalyptic herbarium elicits grief and mourning—but also, perhaps, what Judith Butler has called “the transformative effect of loss.”

Narrative generation and analysis are still on the fringe of modern natural language processing yet are crucial in a variety of applications. This paper proposes a feature extraction method for plot dynamics. We present a dataset that consists of the plot descriptions for thirteen thousand TV shows alongside meta-information on their genres and dynamic plots extracted from them. We validate the proposed tool for plot dynamics extraction and discuss possible applications of this method to the tasks of narrative analysis and generation.

Growing pressure to reduce the environmental pesticide burden has the greatest impact on agriculture and crop protection. There is an enormous increase in the demand for research on new, effective, naturally based agents that do not pose an environmental risk. Phytophthora infestans is one of the most destructive phytopathogens, especially in cases where synthetic fungicides are not allowed. This paper describes the high efficacy and safety of the natural polymer chitosan under in vitro and in vivo conditions and its dominance over other natural agents or products. Chitosan demonstrated the highest efficacy against P. infestans. A concentration of 0.2–0.4% was highly effective. The protective effect of chitosan was 99.3% in natural conditions. Direct activity, equivalent to synthetic fungicides (MIC50 0.293 mg/mL), was confirmed. Chitosan was rated non-toxic to useful non-target species. We promote further chitosan expansion within legislation and implementation of chitosan as a safe substance that could reduce the pesticide burden, particularly in eco-friendly plant protection and production of non-harmful foods.

Kepler’s Laws of planetary motion (following the Copernican revolution in cosmology), according to Leibniz and his follower Hegel, for the first-time in history discovered the keys to what Hegel called the absolute mechanics mediated by dialectical laws, which drives the celestial bodies, in opposition to finite mechanics in terrestrial Nature developed by mathematical and empirical sciences, but that are of very limited scope. Newton wrongly extended and imposed finite mechanics on the absolute mechanics of the cosmic bodies in the form of his Law of one-sided Universal Gravitational Attraction, by distorting and misrepresenting Kepler’s profound laws and in opposition to Leibniz’s more appropriate “Radial Planetary Orbital Equation”. The still-prevailing error by Newton (notwithstanding his well known manipulation of science for selfish ends), not only shows the limitation of mathematical idealism and prejudice driven modern cosmology in the form of Einstein’s theories of relativity; but also, have made gaining positive knowledge of the cosmos an impossibility and has impaired social/historical development of humanity by reinforcing decadent ruling ideas. Hegel’s Naturphilosophie is not only a protest against the misrepresentation of Kepler’s Laws in particular; his Enzyklopädie der Philosophischem Wissenschaften is the negation and the direct rebuttal of Newtonian physics and Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, in general. Modern natural science ignores Leibniz and Hegel at its own peril! Kepler’s phenomenological laws of planetary motion and the dialectical insights of Leibnitz and Hegel opens the way for gaining positive knowledge of the dynamics, structure and the evolution of the cosmic bodies and other cosmic phenomena; without invoking mysteries and dark/black cosmic entities, which has been the pabulum of official astrophysics and cosmology so far.

'Truth and the transunto' investigates the use of a hand-painted copy of the Holy Shroud which found its way to Bologna in the late sixteenth century. Used by the archbishop of Bologna, Alfonso Paleotti (1531-1610), this copy was the source of observations of the body of Christ, in the manner of an autopsy and is presented in Paleotti's book Esplicatione del Lenzuolo [...]. Early modern copies of the Holy Shroud are not however accurate copies, but present seemingly simplified replicas of the original. This article explores how such information, and indeed, level of trust, can come from these copies, which, to the modern eye, seem fallible. Previous studies have excused the strange appearance of these Shroud copies by considering them solely devotional instruments yet as the article shows, Paleotti's use of such an object shows that the copies might be better understood in the context of early modern natural historical studies and illustrations. The article draws on scholarship which discusses the emerging interest for visual evidence in early scientific practice and shows how certain types of images and image-making practices were able to evoke the idea of presence and clarify the indecipherable. Demonstrating that Paleotti's copy of the Holy Shroud was not just a religious tool, but also an epistemic image, this article shows how Paleotti's use of the term 'transunto' could be used as a valuable tool in gaining a more nuanced understanding of the concept 'copy' in Early Modern Europe.   On cover:ANNIBALE CARRACCI (BOLOGNA 1560 - ROME 1609), An Allegory of Truth and Time c. 1584-1585.Oil on canvas | 130,0 x 169,6 cm. A Virtual Dialogue Assistant (VDA) is an automated system intended to provide support for conducting tests and examinations in the context of distant education platforms. Online Distance Learning (ODL) has proven to be a critical part of education systems across the world, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the core components of ODL are sufficiently researched and developed to become mainstream, there is still a demand for various aspects of traditional classroom learning to be implemented or improved to match the expectations for modern ODL systems. In this work, we take a look at the evaluation of students’ performance. Various forms of testing are often present in ODL systems; however, modern Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques provide new opportunities to improve this aspect of ODL. In this paper, we present an overview of VDA intended for integration with online education platforms to enhance the process of evaluation of students’ performance. We propose an architecture of such a system, review challenges and solutions for building it, and present examples of solutions for several NLP problems and ways to integrate them into the system. The principal challenge for ODL is accessibility; therefore, proposing an enhancement for ODL systems, we formulate the problem from the point of view of a user interacting with it. In conclusion, we affirm that relying on the advancements in NLP and Machine Learning, the approach we suggest can provide an enhanced experience of evaluation of students’ performance for modern ODL platforms.
