The article proposes a methodical approach that determines the economic efficiency of the optimization procedure. It is expressed through transport gain - a potential reduction in the route of transportation of products compared to the initial transport scheme. The main task of logistics solutions in the freight forwarding system is to ensure the efficiency and flexibility of the vehicle management system. At the same time, the interaction of management bodies from the beginning of creation of the goods to the moment of unloading to its customer must be established. In order to achieve the goal of transport logistics - to fulfill deliveries on the specified conditions in the appropriate quantity, quality and within the stated time, it is necessary to dwell on the issues of operational management of transport and logistics activities. In the course of scientific research it was determined that in modern conditions the productivity of the production enterprise is largely influenced by transport costs. Therefore, there is a need to optimize traffic flows. The structural-logical scheme of the process of choosing the resource-saving technology for the organization of cargo transportation in small lots in the city connection for the meat processing enterprise is proposed. Such a mechanism will ensure compliance with the key rules of logistics and further enhance its own fleet of vehicles.

A common moisture-related problem in Sweden and other countries, is mold odor indoors. The general perception is that mold odor indicates hazardous hidden mold. However, some grey literature studies indicate that the source of mold odor might not be substantial amounts of mold, but rather chloroanisoles (CAs) which are biomethylated from chlorophenols (CPs) in moist conditions. Products containing CPs were commonly used world-wide as wood preservatives in the 1960-70s and problems with indoor mold odor have been reported in buildings where such products have been used. In Sweden, one of the main uses of CPs in buildings was in wooden constructions exposed to big moisture loads, such as sill plates and crawl space ceilings. Here we aimed to determine the potential presence and level of mold growth on wood treated with CPs in one school building with reported odor problems built in the stated time period. Odorous wooden samples were taken and analyzed for mold growth. No mold was detected by the naked eye, but some growth was seen using a microscope. We presently investigate more schools and samples, but so far our results question that mold odor depends on substantial amounts of mold.

Abstract Objective Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the most serious global public health threats that exert a significant burden in terms of patient morbidity and mortality and financial crises in many developing countries including Ethiopia. Knowledge on the type of predominantly circulating pathogens with their respective AMR profile in a given area is essential for optimal patient care. This study was aimed at assessing the types of bacterial isolates and their AMR profile identified from a range of clinical samples at Debre Markos Referral Hospital, Northwest Ethiopia, over a period of 5 years (2013 to 2017). Results From the total of 514 different clinical samples processed in the stated time frame, about 240 (46.7%) yield bacterial growth. Majority of the identified bacteria were isolated from stool culture 68 (28.3%) followed by urine 56 (23.3%), ear discharge 54 (22.5%) and wound swabs at 26 (10.8%). Most of the clinical isolates were Gram-negative at 171 (71.25%). The predominant isolate was S. aureus at 41 (17.1%) followed by Salmonella species, 40 (16.7%), Escherichia coli 36 (15%) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa at 26 (11.7%). Generally, the isolates were found resistant at (60–100%) against ampicillin, co-trimoxazole, doxycycline, gentamicin, norfloxacin and tetracycline. Gram-positive isolates were found relatively sensitive to ceftriaxone, erythromycin and vancomycin at (71–84%).

Introduction The overall aim of the present study was to explore perceived life satisfaction in persons with stroke, from admission to specialised rehabilitation until follow up 1 year post-discharge. The secondary aim was to evaluate possible external and internal explanatory factors for perceived life satisfaction. Patients and methods A prospective, descriptive study of specialised rehabilitation of persons with stroke. Persons with a primary diagnosis of stroke were enrolled in the study. Results Overall, total score on LiSat-11 showed that life was perceived as satisfying by 11% on admission, 21% at discharge, 25% at 6 and 31% at 12 months after discharge from rehabilitation, reported by 230 participating persons with stroke. Repeated measurement indicated significant differences of total life satisfaction between clinics, also when controlled for disability and severity. The items “sexual life,” “health,” and “vocational life”/“financial” were most dissatisfying at the various reported time points. The linear regression analysis revealed an equal amount of internal and external explanatory factors at the different time points, explaining between 16% and 41% of the variations. Discussion and conclusion The perceived life satisfaction was reported as low/dissatisfying at the four stated time points in all the participating clinics. Four items were especially vulnerable post-stroke: vocational situation, sexual life, physical health and mental health. Both internal and external factors contributed to life satisfaction, such as gender, severity of stroke, marital status, country, models of rehabilitation, occupational status, length of stay (LOS), number of therapies and hours in therapy. However, there were significant differences between clinics, indicating that unidentified factors may also influence life satisfaction.
