Internship program intends to empower students with real-world knowledge, skills, and desirable attitudes by allowing them to gain hands-on experience. This study focuses on implementing lean management principles in developing a web-based information system that manages the data and processes undertaken by the students in their internship program. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model which was divided into four main modules. These modules are for monitoring and supervision of the internship program. The system will help the coordinators to manage documents, the supervisor to give grades, the students to create a journal that will monitor progress, and the administrator to manage the system. To determine if the developed system is efficient and functional, trials were conducted utilizing test scenarios, test cases, and comparison table. The developed system was evaluated using a survey questionnaire based on ISO 25010 software quality model as to Product Quality. It obtained an overall mean of 4.32 with a standard deviation value of 0.666. This validates that the objectives of the study were met and achieved. Moreover, the system was able to reduce the cost and time spent from the previous process, which proves that it successfully integrated lean management principle in its design.

The main purpose of the paper is to explore the relationship between the CORINE Land Cover (CLC) classification and the MAES typology in order to develop a basis for mapping of ecosystems at national level in Bulgaria, which could ensure a spatial framework for mapping and assessment of the ecosystem services provided by the natural heritage. Identifying the necessary data for our purposes, we found that, in spatial terms, CLC data is the only appropriate data source. The subtypes of ecosystems at Level 3 of the classification of ecosystems in Bulgaria (based on the European MAES classification) are identified as mapping units. Firstly, we decided to analyze the links between the CLC and the MAES BG classes through five categories of correspondence: 1) full correspondence – one CLC class corresponds to one MAES BG subtype; 2) multi-directional links – one or more CLC classes correspond to one MAES BG subtype; 3) discrepancies that necessitate further analyses; 4) CLC classes that are not found in Bulgaria; 5) MAES BG subtypes that have no correspondence to a CLC class. Secondly, we prepared a comparison table to determine the correspondence between the CLC classes and ecosystem subtypes, which we integrated into the GIS environment. Thirdly, we developed an algorithm for modifications of the spatial distribution of ecosystem subtypes. The algorithm was applied particularly to grasslands, where at Level 3 of CLC there are two classes of "grassland”, whereas at Level 3 of the classification of ecosystems in Bulgaria, the subtypes are five. This algorithm was applied to the 2018 CLC spatial data so as to develop a GIS database providing the basis for subsequent analyzes related to ecosystems. The database was used to delineate and map the ecosystems at national level in Bulgaria. Furthermore, a map of the potential of the natural heritage to provide ecosystem services was produced.

<em>Cyanoboletus macroporus</em> belonging to <em>C. pulverulentus</em> species complex is designated as a new species from the moist temperate and sub-alpine oak forests of Pakistan after in depth macroscopic, microscopic and phylogenetic analyses using the ITS region of nrDNA as well as comparison with allied taxa. This species belonging to Boletoid group is morphologically distinguished from allied taxa (<em>Cyanoboletus flavosanguineus</em>, <em>C. hymenoglutinosus</em>, <em>C. pulverulentus</em>, <em>C. rainisii</em>, and <em>C. sinopulverulentus</em>) by wider openings of pores. <em>C. macroporus</em> is also phylogenetically distinct from <em>C. sinopulverulentus</em> and <em>C. pulverulentus</em>, the most closely related species. Phylogenetic analysis outlined the existence of previously unknown species of this genus. Field photographs of fresh basidocarps and line drawings of micro-characters are provided along with a phylogenetic tree as well as a comparison table and a key of distinctive features of all the species in this genus. This is the first authentic species belonging to <em>Cyanoboletus</em> from Pakistan. Previously, only <em>C. pulverulentus</em> has been mentioned in literature, but no morphological data is available regarding this report. With the addition of this taxon, species number of <em>Cyanoboletus</em> will increase to eight. From Pakistan, despite of the fact that there is great diversity of mushrooms in moist temperate areas (Yousaf et al. 2012), this is the first study that describes a species belonging to <em>Cyanoboletus</em> genus. Previously only one ambiguous species, <em>Cyanoboletus pulverulentus</em>, has been mentioned in literature (Iqbal & Khalid 1996), but with no available materials that could confirm this finding. In this study, <em>Cyanoboletus macroporus</em> is described as a new to science and increase the current species number of <em>Cyanoboletus</em> to eight.

The method of localization of noise level calculation from a rail vehicle in the city of Lviv is investigated and developed. Models of noise load measurement have been adapted, the measured values have been unified and our own solution has been created on the basis of the road surface, the speed of rail transport and the distance from the noise source. According to the research methods, namely: Schall 03 (from Germany), Nordic Train (Scandinavian countries) was carried out compared to the Bland—Altmann schedule, with which we can adapt the studied results. distance from the noise source. As a result, models for predicting noise load measurements were adapted. The results were carried out compared to the Bland-Altmann plot, which helped us with the comparison table. The purpose of the study is to analyze methods for noise level measurements and adapt them into our realities. Based on the known methods of measuring the noise load of railway vehicles, we can assume that there are no correct methods for the cities of Ukraine (especially Lviv).

Abstract. In the project “Labest Papier – Langzeitbeständigkeit von Papier” (Labest Paper – Long-term durability of paper), the suitability of paper to serve as a permanently undamaged information carrier for at least 500 years is to be assessed by the Department of Paper Manufacturing and Mechanical Process Engineering (PMV) for the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Disposal (BASE). The ageing mechanisms of paper are known, as are countermeasures. This leads to standards and recommendations for the use of paper for documents. DIN EN ISO 9706 (2010) is the main proponent of the direction that longevity can be ensured solely via the composition of the paper and the initial situation at the beginning of ageing. DIN 6738 (2007), on the other hand, takes as its basis the approach of assessing the physical ageing of the paper based on artificial ageing and the strength losses observed in the process. Other standards vary the approaches somewhat or mix them in part, for which the lecture presents a comparison table. The usability of a document depends on two essential factors. Firstly, the residual strength after an ageing process must be high enough for the document to be usable. Secondly, the information written on it must still be legible or at least recognisable. The limits of the possibilities for dealing with damage that has already occurred are almost only set by complete destruction. Otherwise, forensic means can restore the information in a document, at least in part, with the appropriate investment of time and money. The lecture provides examples, such as the reprocessing of shredded Stasi files. Even the loss of knowledge of writing and language need not be a final obstacle, as the decipherment of hieroglyphics proves. The costs of measures to deal with damage depend individually on the condition of the documents and on the objectives in dealing with the damage. Prevention is an effective means of avoiding damage and costs in the first place. Paper is an information carrier well known for over 2000 years and has already proven its suitability for storing long-term information. Despite the fact that an intactness in the sense of being completely untouched is never given, paper has the advantage of a long migration time and that no reading or decoding device is necessary compared to modern information storage media, such as digital media or microfilm. Which grade of paper will ultimately meet the demands, however, depends on the overall consideration of the availability of the grade, the expected damage and the possibilities and costs of handling it. There is still a need for research, especially with respect to the assessment of the effect of printing inks and auxiliaries used in paper production on the longevity as well as the classification of recycled paper. An extensive measurement program is investigating this during the current project. After the project is accomplished, BASE will be able to decide in which way the already existing types of papers including marking can be preserved for as long as necessary and how the state-of-the-art optimised system “paper ink” must be prepared to ensure long-term durability. The paper is based on two working stage reports, AP1 (Schaffrath, 2020) and AP2 (Schaffrath, 2021).

A comprehensive knowledge of relationships between coral and coral-associated organisms is essential for the conservation studies of the coral reef community, yet the biodiversity database of coral-inhabiting copepods remains incomplete. Here we surveyed in a widely distributed scleractinian coral, Psammocora columna Dana, 1846, and newly discovered two endoparasitic copepod species, Xarifia yanliaoensis sp. nov. and Xarifia magnifica sp. nov. These two new species are described based on specimens collected in Taiwan, and they share several common morphological characters of Xarifia copepods, i.e., region dorsal to fifth legs having three posteriorly directed processes unequally. However, X. yanliaoensis sp. nov. is distinguishable from other species by the morphology of the endopods of legs, antenna, maxilla, and maxilliped (in both genders). The morphological characters of X. magnifica sp. nov. are the endopods of legs, leg 5, and maxilliped in the male. Including the two new species described in the present work, the genus Xarifia Humes, 1960 belongs to the cyclopoid family Xarifiidae Humes, 1960 currently consists of 94 species, and eight of them live in association with the Psammocora coral. A comparison table and a key to the species of Xarifia from Psammocora corals are given herein.

The aim of this research work is to research and develop a system of a hand-like remote-controlled robotic arm. Devices of this design are currently in demand in many areas of human life, in particular during rescue operations. The described device must be able to hold an object of arbitrary shape using a gripper, has acceptable positioning and control accuracy. Such a device can be used to work in a harmful or hazardous environment, thereby minimizing the harmful effects on humans. The control system of such a device must provide a protocol for transferring data from the input device to the end handle of the manipulator to perform the corresponding movement. To start the development process, market analysis was conducted, in the process of which several similar products were identified and compared against each other and the system being developed. As a result of that analysis, comparison table was created listing the main features of the system being developed in comparison to existing solutions on the market, to check whether it will be competitive at the current market. In this article, such system is proposed and later developed with the analysis of modern technical components and taking into account the accompanying scientific and technical research. In the course of the work, the analysis of existing technical solutions was carried out, the principles of operation of individual components were considered, and the process of developing the final system was described. As a processor device, it was decided to use the Arduino Uno and Arduino Nano microprocessor boards, which provide convenient tools for working with ATmega microprocessors with high performance and energy efficiency. As a result of this work, functional, logical and electrical circuits were created and described, which were used to create a working prototype of the system, as well as a diagram of the model of the manipulator body, which was printed using a 3D printer. Using the created circuits, a working prototype of the described system was built, which was successfully tested, a demonstration of which is given in the work. The created one can be integrated as a subsystem into a larger-scale project.
