In the structure of the title compound, 1-(4-cyanobenzyl)-4-methylpyridinium 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethanide, C14H13N2 +·[C8H4(CN)4]−, the asymmetric unit contains one cation and one anion. Intra- and intermolecular C—H...N hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking interactions seem to be effective in the stabilization of the crystal structure.
