<p>A recent study on the mosses of Meghalaya has revealed the occurrence of 6 taxa of the genus viz., Entodon E. concinnus (De Not.)<br />Par. ssp. caliginosus (Mitt.) Mizushima, E. rubicundus (Mitt.) Jaeg., E. luridus (Griff.) Jaeg., E. plicatus C. Muell., E. scariosus Ren. &<br />Card. and E. pulchellus (Griff.) Jaeg., out of which E. concinnus (De Not.) Par. ssp. caliginosus (Mitt.) Mizushima is a new addition to<br />eastern Himalaya and E. scariosus is a new record to Meghalaya.
