This study aims to analyze the development of MICE tourism and its contribution to employment absorption in the tourism sector and tourist visits in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. MICE activities (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) held in an area may contribute to various sectors. However, the implementation of MICE activities in an area has not yet been clearly measured for its contribution to employment absorption or number of tourist visits. This research sample uses purposive sampling technique, using primary data and secondary data. Primary data in the form of in-depth interviews and questionnaires. While secondary data in the form of data on the number of MICE, labor in the tourism sector, and tourist visits in 2014 - 2018. The analytical method used in this study is quantitative and qualitative SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threat) and is supported by descriptive statistics for strengthen analysis. The results showed the development of MICE tourism in DIY over a period of 5 years (2014-2018) had increased. MICE has grown a lot in Sleman Regency and Yogyakarta City, due to the factor of accommodation facilities, location close to tourist destinations and airports. MICE has a contribution to employment absorption seen from the positive quadrant sign between strength and weakness of 144.96. In addition, MICE also contributes to tourist visits as seen from the positive quadrant sign of 119.03. Keywords: MICE, employment absorption, tourist visit

Abstract: The learning carried out by the teacher in the classroom must develop the quality of learning, one of which is learning motivation, students who are not passionate about learning are not optimal and of high quality, from this goal the reality is still far from expectations, many students are not aware of the importance of studying seriously, there is no passion study, there is no fun in the study room. The sampling technique used is Census Sample (Sample Saturated), while criterion-based selection is used when conducting qualitative research, 30 students as primary data sources, two teachers as secondary data sources. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation, documentation and questionnaires, while data analysis by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and verification by means of research stages I and II students and teachers with a Da'wah educational background, stage III and IV student informants and teachers with PAI educational background.

The tourism sector is one important sector that can contribute to improving the regional economy. However, the implementation of product and tariff strategies that are not optimal can have an impact on the low sales value and profits, and in turn affect regional revenues. This study aims to analyze the effect of product strategy performance, tariff strategy and sales value on profits. Using a quantitative approach, the population in this study is 20 tourist destinations in DKI Jakarta Province. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires and interviews, while secondary data were obtained through documents and related literature. The data analysis technique used is path analysis. The results of this study indicate product strategy, tariff strategy, and sales value have a partial and simultaneous effect both on profit. The dominant variables in this study are (1) the application of the tariff strategy as a determinant of sales value and (2) the application of the product strategy as a determinant of profit.Sektor pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor penting yang bisa berkontribusi bagi peningkatan perekonomian daerah. Namun demikian, penerapan strategi produk dan tarif yang tak maksimal dapat berdampak pada rendahnya nilai penjualan serta laba yang diperoleh, dan pada gilirannya memengaruhi penerimaan daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kinerja strategi produk, strategi tarif dan nilai penjualan terhadap laba usaha. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 20 destinasi wisata di Propinsi DKI Jakarta. Data primer diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan wawancara, sementara data sekunder diperoleh melalui dokumen dan literatur-literatur terkait. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah path analysis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan strategi produk, strategi tarif, dan nilai penjualan berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap laba. Variabel dominan dalam penelitian ini ialah (1) penerapan strategi tarif sebagai determinan penjualan dan (2) penerapan strategi produk sebagai determinan laba.

This study discusses the existence of the management of harmony between Islam and Buddhism in Tanjung Batu Kota. This study aims to describe the factors that cause religious harmony in Tanjung Batu Kota, Kundur District, Karimun Regency.This study used the conflict theory according to Lewis Coser. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. purposive sampling technique was used to select the informant that consists of 10 people. The types of data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. Observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies were used in collecting the data. Meanwhile, the data analysis unit used by the group was Milles and Huberman's data analysis, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study reveal that several factors are causing religious harmony: 1) Tolerance in the Economic Sector. 2) Inter-Religious Harmony. 3) Mutual Respect and Respect for Other Religions. 4) The Management of Religious Harmony in Tanjung Batu City, Kundur District.

This paper explores the implementation of risk management maturity of MICE tourism-sector organisations in XYZ firm which located in Indonesia, precisely in Bandung City, which has a population of 2.510.103 people. The research used a qualitative-descriptive design in the form of a case study at XYZ firm. This study uses primary data and secondary data as supplementary. Primary data was collected by conducting semi-structured interviews with subjects whose roles and functions are relevant to facilitating XYZ firm's strategic initiatives and programs. The findings indicate that XYZ firm was at the initial level in implementing risk management which positively corresponds with its resilience and sustainability—XYZ had a difficult time bouncing back, surviving, and thriving this global pandemic. The results of this research may assist decision-makers on the importance and the dynamics of risk management implementation, particularly for the MICE tourism industry in Indonesia.

Karampuang traditional house is one of the cultural heritages that has symbols and meanings believed from generation to generation. This study aims to determine what symbols are contained in the Karampuang traditional house, both verbal and non-verbal, and to analyze the symbols. This research used qualitative method which the data were collected by using some techniques including: observation, in-depth interviews, documentation study, literature study, and field notes. The study used two data sources, primary data and secondary data. The technique of determining informants in this study was the purposive sampling technique. There were six informants. A traditional house consists of two houses. There are two renowned traditional houses, to wit; Arung and Gella. Arung’s house faces West, while Gella's traditional house faces East. The Roof of the house has two layers with a timpa laja’ in three layers. The roof Gella's is not double-decked and two-tiered; while the Arung’s composed of three of the timpa laja. In regard to the Islamic symbols in traditional houses, the houses are constructed with 30 house poles, as a symbol of the number of juz in the Quran. The 5 poles running north to south symbolize the 5 pillars of Islam; while 6 poles from west to east are a symbol of the six articles of faith. The ladder of the Karampuang traditional house only has one ladder with odd steps which the position is different from the house in general.The door of the house is located in Elle 'ri olo which is parallel right againts Salima'. Above the door, there is a stone that functions as a counterweight so that the door can be partially or completely open. The floor of a house made of bamboo is also called salima as a symbol of the rib which stretches from north to south called tunebbe'. The kitchen is located at the front that can be clearly seen when climbing the house’s ladder; in front of the door is a kitchen with two stoves located.

ABSTRACT   The increase in the rate of demand for beef in Indonesia is not offset by an increase in beef production. These problems led to the establishment of many beef import companies, one of which was PT. Cowboy Nusantara Jaya. Tight business competition, makes this company need to design a strategic plan in managing the company's reputation. Reputation management is planned strategically so that the company can win the best position on the market. Reputation management is planned strategically so that the company can win the best position on the market. The purpose of this research is that the writer wants to explore the reputation management strategy carried out by PT. Cowboy Nusantara Jaya based on SWOT analysis. The method used by the author in compiling this study is descriptive qualitative. In this study the authors used two data sources namely primary and secondary. The author conducted in-depth interviews with three informants selected based on purposive sampling technique to obtain primary data. Whereas, the secondary data obtained by the writer is documentation techniques. The results showed that PT. Cowboy Nusantara Jaya has implemented several strategies in maintaining the reputation of the parent company well. As a subsidiary of PT. Suri Nusantara Jaya in the Central Java region, PT. Cowboy Nusantara Jaya continues to strive to prioritize customer satisfaction. Based on the SWOT analysis of PT. Cowboy Nusantara Jaya manages the reputation of the company by maintaining product quality, product availability, product prices, and easy and fast service innovations for its customers.

Panrita Lopi Beach is one of the natural tourist destinations that needs to be surveyed by visitors in order to identify and determine strategies for developing tourist attractions and also marketing in Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of tourists and travel patterns of tourists who visit and to determine the perception of the level of tourist satisfaction with infrastructure products, public facilities and tourism facilities in this tourist destination. The main variables used in segmenting comprise: Geographic Segmentation, Demographic Segmentation, Psychographic Segmentation, and Behavior-based Segmentation. This research is a type of survey research with a qualitative descriptive approach. I carried out data collection from primary data sources and secondary data sources. The sample used in this study is a non-probability sampling technique by accidental sampling, namely a sampling technique based on chance, anyone who coincidentally meets a researcher can be used as a sample, if it is deemed that the person who was met is suitable as a data source. Data that has been collected from research results related to typology (characteristics, travel patterns) and visitor perceptions can be analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The analyzed data comes from surveys through questionnaires that have been given to visitors, including data on visitor profiles, visitor travel patterns, and visitor perceptions about this Panrita Lopi beach.

<p align="center"><strong><em>ABSTRACT</em></strong></p><p><em>In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has come to Indonesia and has given some impacts on the entire tourism sector. One of them is the tourist attraction of Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng. This study aims to find out the recovery strategies adopted by Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng in dealing with the new normal.</em><em> </em><em>This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with primary data collection techniques, including the in-depth interviews and supported by secondary data collection of documents.</em><em></em></p><p><em>According to the results of research on managers and workers at Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng, it is known that the COVID-19 pandemic has a significant impact on this tourist attraction. One of the impacts is the decreasing number of tourists visiting to Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng, the lowest even up to 0 visit. This situation forced the management of Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng to formulate a recovery strategy for the new normal. The strategy adopted by Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng is to apply the CHSE health protocol in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Health number HK.01.07/MENKES/382/2020 to workers, local people and tourists who come to visit. The study has made an attempt on resource use and economic efficiency of cucumber production under poly-house farming and open field farming. Primary data collected by using purposive sampling technique from selected districts. Sample of 50 farmers (25 Poly-house farmers and 25 Open field farmers) was taken from each district on the basis of availability. Secondary data was collected from Horticulture Department. For data analysis statistical tools average, percentage and Linear Cobb-Douglas Production Function was used. The study found that the yield of cucumber was more under poly-house farming as compare to open field farming system. The reason behind this was long harvesting period and more number of fruits per plant under poly-house farming conditions. The data specifies higher net returns per acre of cucumber under poly-house farming over open field farming, which implicit poly-house farming not only highly profitable but also economically viable as compared to open field farming in study area.

The research is proposed to test the influence of Leadership and Motivation Work on Public Service Quality. The population in this study was the Kantor Kementerian Agama Sungai Penuh who had received the last 1 year service at the Kantor Kementerian Agama Sungai Penuh, amounting to 260 people. Furthermore, by using the Slovin formula, a sample size of 158 people was chosen with a sampling technique based on Simple Random Sampling. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Data analysis techniques used are path analysis and hypothesis testing using t test with data analysis using SPSS version 20. The results of the study based on showing that partially the Leadership and motivation work have a positive and significant effect on Public Service Quality. The results also show that motivation work variables act as intervening variables between Leadership and Public Service Quality.
