A new bis-tridentate nitronyl nitroxide radical was synthesized and characterized. Field-induced slow magnetic relaxation was observed in the radical-bridged CoII complex.

Three LnIII–triazole–radical complexes have been synthesized, which exhibit interesting magnetic properties. The TbIII complex shows frequency-dependent ac magnetic susceptibilities, which suggests the presence of slow magnetic relaxation.

Three multinuclear hetero-tri-spin complexes (Ln2Cu3) have been synthesized based on a methyl-pyrazole nitronyl nitroxide radical. Tb complex shows a single relaxation process.

A family of 3d–4f heterometallic ring-shaped clusters on the basis of a nitrogen-rich nitronyl nitroxide radical have been obtained, and they feature polyfunctionality including magnetic properties, thermodynamics and luminescence behavior.
