Coal mine is important and basic industries in the country, and it is very important to establish a sound, reliable coal mine safety monitoring system for the safety production of coal mine. The demand analysis was made for the development of coal mine safety monitoring system. It contains to build up the layout model of the standard coal mine underground production environment and set all kinds of underground transducers especially methane transducer. On this basis, the general design scheme of coal mine safety monitoring system was determined. Demand analysis and scheme design provided for coal mine safety monitoring system can meet the needs of practical application and establish the foundation for the subsequent system development.

In this work, a safe Coal Mine Monitoring system which replaces the traditional coal mine monitoring systems which tend to be wired network systems. This play an important role in coal mine safe production. With continuous enlarging of exploiting areas and extension of depth in coal mine, many laneways become monitoring blind areas, where are lots of hidden dangers. Moreover, it is inconvenient to lay cables which are expensive and consume time. In order to solve the problems, we designed a coal mine safety monitoring system based on wireless sensor network, which can improve the level of monitoring production safety and reduce accident in the coal mine. Zigbee technology provides a direction for scientists who commit to solve the safety monitoring problems of coal mine. The purpose of this study is to propose a solution suitable to mine wireless communication, safety monitoring, give a proof to the further study.

The coal mine operations are very risky due to high temperature and different amount of different gas compositions in air underground coalmine. Due to this, there are so many accidents taking place which leads to killing many skilled workers and laborers. This definitely need a monitoring system to sense the gas concentration and temperature. In this paper we are developing a safety monitoring system for coal mine workers with NodeMCUs and IoT. In this system, we are using two NodeMCUs as a communicating device in which one is developed as wearable device (client) which always receives the information and the second one is used to gas and temperature sensor node(server) which always sends the alert to the client if the gas concentration is more at high temperature. We are developing a wearable device with NodeMCU which always gets the alert messages/alert buzzer and information regarding gas concentration and temperature. This system is a combined action of the temperature, humidity, some gas sensors and IOT module to detect all the information in the coal mine and log all the data into cloud and communicate with the workers wearable device to send the information(alert messages if any accident is about to happen) continuously

A wireless coal mine safety monitoring system based on ZigBee wireless sensor network and GPRS wireless remote transmission was established, which enjoys the characteristics of ZigBee technology, including quick networking, low cost, less power consumption, simple network structure and real-time parameter monitoring. With mature GPRS technology, remote data transmission was achieved and associated director can be informed through short message sent to his cellphone, which contributes to the early identification of serious accidents and real-time treatment, thus increasing the safety of coal mining.

Time and information are without doubt two key factors for successful coal mine emergency management. The advancement of information technology has brought new opportunities to improve coal mine safety. In this paper, a mobile coal mining safety monitoring system is introduced. The objective of the system is to help coal mine official acquire the real production environment data influencing mine safety in time anywhere and anytime thus be capable of responding to the matters arising immediately. The architecture of the system is proposed and it contains three layers including data acquisition layer, server application layer, and mobile client layer. Then, the system implementation details are elaborated. A use scenario is taken to demonstrate how the system can help safety official and relevant staff of the coal mine to respond to the changing mine production situation quickly and make time-critical decisions.
