In this paper, we proposed to build a temporary testing system withvirtual machine (VM)technology for studying the performance issues (e.g., number ofsessions,load-sharingmechanism) and the availability of a newly built hybridSSL-VPNsystem before rolling out the service. Moreover, we had designedtesting casesto help locate the configuration bugs and/or improper settings, and use them as guidelines for re-adjusting the system configuration to meet the design considerations. As shown in the paper, using the VM technology helps make both thedeploymentand thetestof the SSL-VPN service to become more effective (e.g., easier to reconfigure the system, more scalable).

In order to design a compact star simulator based on multiple LEDs, optical fibers, an integral sphere and tiny collimated optical systems are employed in the system. Firstly the system configuration block diagram of the star simulator is given in this paper. Then the luminous flux calculation of LED is calculated based on the optical system. Finally the principle of PWM control of LED is illustrated. The analysis shows that the simulated precision of star magnitude can achieve ±0.1m.
