Abstract Alloy 750 is an aluminum-tin-nickel-copper alloy used for bearings. This material is intended for, and has been used principally in the form of permanent mold castings, which by virtue of their rapid solidification are typified by a fine, dense, fatigue resistant structure. Solid aluminum bearings machined from permanent mold castings of this alloy have been used principally in the artificially aged -T5 temper for heavy-duty engine bearings. In this field 750 alloy has provided satisfactory performance under conditions of very high unit loading at medium speeds and temperatures. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on machining. Filing Code: Al-43. Producer or source: Aluminum Company of America.
